1.
2nd unexpected DoW of this war Yo Non Grata, Im really happy for you, Imma let you finish but tR had the best unexpected preempt of this war
You need to be away from the public eye for a bit longer. We have not stopped laughing yet.
 2.
I remember when we debated CB's or whether events were legitimately in the right or not. Now we just argue over the definition or what qualifies as a curb stomp. It's a brave new world.
You bring her flowers, arrive in a Jaguar, take her to Broadway... she does not call back. Maybe a bike, beer and a titty bar will work. Its all about different vectors of approach.
 3. The Kriegsmarine sends you their best compliments and the joy of a normal life. Farewell.
 4. What would be the point of it? a social club of sorts?
 5.
I guess you aren't better than that, that's disappointing.
You really need to lighten up and read it in the right context.
 6.
If you're referring to the PB-NpO War, then there's a clear difference. Namely that Taut led us to believe that RoK would fight on our side, and later went back on his word. By contrast, our allies knew our likely course of action from the beginning of this conflict. Had Taut told us from the beginning that RoK planned to defend NpO in that war, then that war may never have happened. We certainly valued our ties to RoK more than pursuing a spy, and we could've worked something out with NpO. The "word is my bond" is the key part in all of this.
There is a lot that should have been said at the time, and can still be said not that it would make a whit of a difference now. OOC: I am pressed for time right now, i will look you up on irc someday, and we can talk then. Be good to catch up with old friends from time to time. Umm, if i do get on irc.. i am old and i forget stuff.
 7.
AvT, come on now you are better than that.
You know me, you ought to be able to understand what i meant. Seriously now. Tell me this, how does it feel to be able and willing to help out an ally who is outnumbered and needs that help? How does it feel to be willing and able to rush to help your beleaguered ally while knowing it will not end well for your own self? How does it feel to know that you would not change a thing about this decision given the same situation, regardless of hindsight? Tell me Viridia. How does it feel to be willing and able to be living upto the adage "my word is my bond"? Does it help you understand stuff? See more clearly? Sleep better? Cmon now, dont be shy, tell me.
 8. Well now. Defending one ally, while the rest of your allies are on the other side of the conflict? You horrible horrible miscreants.
 9.
I can force nothing upon anyone. I can, however, help to pay back SF for their many crimes.
The criminal scum!!! Now is the time when we shall make them pay for .. umm, for what exactly?
 10. That is one big ass declaration of war and with rationale too. In this day and age, you do not need to provide your reasoning. Just hit the first thing going past. Apparently it is more fun that way. But hey, whatever gets you your jollies. Good Luck.
 11. rapidshare. Upload the mp3, people can download and listen to them.
 12. It all boils down to what people are willing to tolerate and overlook for ingame considerations. While an alliance might not wish to associate itself with people who indulge in OOC attacks, there would also be an alliance which will convince itself that since it is OOC it has no bearing on the ingame stuff. More so if they see a possible ebenefit in the association with the entity in question. What HOT is doing here is making an appeal to the supposed inherent decency in humans. Which we have seen to be easily pushed to the background alongside the conscience and the idea of fair play, on a routine basis. The thought that someone would actually give up something that benefits them over a moral matter, is laudable, but it is also laughable. I have yet to see anyone make a value call and disadvantage themselves, specially if the others are still sitting pretty and not making similar value calls. Nobody likes being the first and most likely [from what they perceive] the only one to break ranks with a strong group and possibly damage everything they have worked for, for so long, whether it be power, security for their members or just the right to go riding roughshod over everyone else. Then there is the entire thing about being willing to overlook character defects in those one considers to be friends. No, this place is not ever going to be free of protection/support/encouragement that is available for the people who get their jollies harassing others beyond the pale.
 13.
Now? Really? This is the moment you choose?
I have had one foot out the door for almost 5 months now, since the biodad thing, it just took this long to get rid of the tech. Also, what is so special about this moment?
 14.
Nation Created: 4/17/2008 4:01:08 PM (1,526 days old)
On that sombre note, we start this topic. Yes i believe it has been slightly longer than 4 years that i have been in and around Cybernations. For one, my ISP had better send Admin some dollars since he charges me per byte, it sure feels like per byte. If had been someone else telling me they played a game daily for the past 4 years i would look at them funny and with concern. I might even dial an emmergency/addiction helpline to get them some help. I cannot think of any other game that has held me to itself on a daily basis for more than 6 months in a row. There was Diablo 2 LoD that i played on and off for two to three years but there would gaps, like a week or two would go by [after a year of daily play ] before i would go back to playing it. So yeah, Mr. Kevin from Texas, you made a game that went on to beat Blizzard's Diablo 2 LoD in terms of holding my attention. Of course, we realize that most of that period was enjoyable not because of what Admin created but because of the world created around it by the people who came to inhabit this dump. And such people, like.. from the craziest unwashed loon post linking an irc channel to an image of his parts, to the most interesting radiologist who sang opera over teamspeak in 2008. The game was interesting to play, mainly as a backdrop and as a necessity to all the scheming and plotting we wanted to do. I mean, if the nations were not mandatory we might have gone right along ignoring them for 20-25 days and still carry on the scheming and plotting, coz that was our main game. Oh and we need pixels to sort of keep score of who actually won, statistically, i think. Over time however it has sort of lost its charm, not because of anything that is wrong with the gamer per se, because face it, its the same as it was in April 2008 except the navy thing and some space colonies and whatever. What has changed, in my opinion, is the energy levels of the people involved. We all got older, and lazier. New guys dont step up, you mentor a few, see them become good enough and they delete out. Old ones are burnt out. Those that persist, would rather go in for a good little pre-ordained-outcome war of 10:5 odds than actually have to work for their fun. In this the most fun times i had in the game were pre-karma. Boy did we $%&@ ourselves over by bringing down the evil big red giant. Having a charged atmosphere of "omg anyone can get rolled for sneezing wrong" is better than the supergrievances era, or the current somnolent schizophrenic ennui laden atmosphere. The current hegemony, that i hear so much about was great as the underdogs but are piss poor at being the tyrant. You just do not engender the same atmosphere that made the game of survival and growth against odds, fun. The lot of you, regardless of your alliance affiliations. Anyways, it has been a good trip, and now my engine is running on fumes. My tech is almost all gone, just one aid cycle left, [psst: Admin, make sending out tech easier if someone wants to donate it all]. Its been almost a year and a half since i have been on irc for more than a few minutes at a time and i want to take this opportunity to send a shoutout to all my friends on there. If any of you guys are still around. Bah! Ciao people.
 15.
Awww, RoK and NATO love. Reminds me of CDT days
I really need to fix my AA on here, but its just too much effort.
 16. NATO About the only AA that can make me go all on em. Good Hunting guys.
 17.
I thought this one was funnier:

Looks like MK has signed one of those NPO MDPs with NoR. LSF attacks NoR so.... Attack CSN!
XD right on target. That was my thought too earlier in the day.
 18. Ask Anu Drake. he used to manage an online repository of all the good pieces of propaganda he has seen. Here, try these: GW5 (?) , Karma, I am sure he has more. Be careful though, it is entirely possible to navigate to NSFW content from those pages. You have been warned. edit 2: You could also try this thread : WoTC/NoCB propaganda thread. Yes, i have nothing to do today.
 19.
I do hope you realize the disgusting things that Ragnarok does with their free time.
Oh man, you have no idea. No idea. The aftermath may not be pretty in the morning but hey, while the deeds are getting done, it sure feels good. Congrats CCC and RoK.
 20.
That's not what he said. He said they will attack me until I can't hurt them anymore. Big difference.
Umm, if someone attacks you, when do you think they are not a threat anymore? Do you leave them standing about with a loaded gun?
So, you admit you will attack me for well over 9 months. How is that not basically a perma ZI sentence?
As he said, till such time as they are satisfied, you are not a threat anymore.
 21.
You realize it would take a lot longer than 9 months to "remove my capability to do harm"? You're contradicting yourself.
No, he is saying it is not 9 months, instead it is till such time as they are satisfied you are not a threat anymore.
 22.
If the situation doesn't improve soon, I will quit, yes. Peace mode isn't really an option either cause I'm losing boatloads of money every day.
Heh, Polish Hostage FTW. If you are going to go rogue on someone, most likely because you wish to cause them some hassles and disrupt their functioning, [meaning, with malicious intent] then you had better be ready for them getting angry at you and using your nation for target practice or as a lemon for some juice to be squeezed out.
 23.
this infringes upon my religious freedoms
Ah good, good, its all good then. As someone's sig says, "%#&^ your Rights". Nice OP, even though i am too sleepy to make much sense of it. Dont worry it will come to me. Eventually.
