Erik Betrakte

Erik Betrakte, former Abærøn of Norsvea, is now a diplomat and a political philosopher within the Nordlandic Reich. Born in 1991, Erik was the son of Josef and Witwe Betrakte, two military members in Transcacasus Distopya. They migrated to Baltic Distopya, and finally to Distopya in the Hudson before settling in the government under Oppøre.

Erik's family was the first proponent of Nordlandicism in Distopya. Erik lived in Forstellen as a free man, out of the thumb of Oppøre. After a long triple-crossing of Nordic enemies, Erik became the Norsvean head diplomat and lead Norsvea into an era of prosperity under Frederick Keitelson Martens.

Erik is 18 and enjoys rock music, cars, and girls.

Tsar Nikolai Romanov of Molakia has recently gone on vacation, leaving the warzone of European Politics for awhile...but that doesnt mean he isnt busy! Reports are showing that he and his guards are flooding their way across the North American Continent...leaving a trail of booze and broken hearts. No idea if the Tsar is in on the action!

But who is Nikolai Romanov? Born in the Former Soviet Union, Nikolai had a history of being a heartbreaker and a soldier. In his mid thirties now, he seems older with his slightly grayed hair, but a few young girls we talked to said they would still go after Molakia's leader "Even when he hits 40!". But, as these things go, one lucky girl tamed his heart: The current Tsarina of Molakia, Anna Ivanova-Romanov. But lets be honest people: Can you really keep this man down on his own? Reports surfaced that he is trying to heal relations with Hansa....A diplomatic move or a chance to "Speak" with Sarah Tintagyl?

"Its no secret Nikolai Admires Sarah. He speaks highly of her, citing the past as 'His sickness' and the future as his healing. His eyes open up when he hears news...its pretty nice to see him happy. Only other time thats seen is when anna pops around!" One Molakian Guard was quoted, his identity covered for security reasons.

President Jason Robert Drake of Drakoria started out as a municipal politician in a small region of Armenia. When the area's government broke down, he was one of the forerunners to re-establish a sturdy, non-oppressive nation. Thus, he became a founding father of Drakoria.

Many have remarked on how Jason looks more like a rocker than a politician. Their justification are his chin rings and his usual style of dress. When asked why he does that, Jason replied, "Because people are scared of politicians, so I relate to them. Plus, I look bad in a tux."

Jason is 26 years old, rather young for a president, but has been studying politics since age 12. His interests include rock music, metal, military tactics, biking, and women. His only dream at the time is to continue Drakoria's prosperity...and his vice president says he has one other dream involving his attractive secretary.

Dallas Redman is the Minister of Internal Affairs of Fort Dawson, a city-state in the Yukon. Dallas was born and raised in the city, as was his father and his father. He is an avid gun collector and lives his life according to the "Castle Doctrine."

Fresh off a successful settlement with the makers of Klondike Bars, it was found that not only way his claim of copyrighting the name Klondike true, but so was the story of him killing a grizzly bear with a garden spade. He is said to be an avid drinker of high-proof spirits, while still maintaining a high resistance to alcohol. It should also be noted that he refuses to give up his beard, and has pledged to always keep it in some form.

Dallas did not actually have a job before he became leader of the new city-state by mere happenstance in a bar. His hobbies include fishing, hunting moose, caribou and bear, and playing racquetball.

Matthew Dodge is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the face of Fort Dawson. He was acclaimed to be "One of the smartest youngsters Dawson had seen in a while." Like his friends and indeed all of Dawson, Dodge also drinks quite a few high-proof spirits.

He was formerly the manager of a logging squad for a logging company in the Klondike Valley. Now, he's looking to spin Fort Dawson into as much of a positive place as he can, considering the circumstances. He is noted for enjoying Absolut Vodka and kayaking.

Former Chancellor Gerard Way of Cainette. Well known for his younger days performing in a Cainettian rock band My Chemical Romance. He shot to political fame after becoming the youngest ever leader of the Cainettian Social Democratic Party. He served as chancellor for exactly 1.5 years before being tragically killed in a plane crash.

Who was this man? Born in Newark, New Jersey. He was the older brother and some what protector of younger brother Mikey. He found his love for music at a young age. Singing in a primary school play he found out that he had a gift for song. This flowered over the years and ultimately wound up with the Birth of My Chemical Romance. The band's fame grew and so did Gerards infatuation with Lyn-z. The couple got married and stayed so until Gerard's tragic Death.

The Imperator of the Holy Imperium of Man, one of the largest nations on Bob. He is a veteran of several major wars and countless regional conflicts which have deprived him of several fingers and one eye which has been crudely replaced by Imperial Bio-Mechanical technology. With the fall of various enemies his spirit has been crushed and he now lives only to serve the apparatus of the state.

It is through his will alone that the government of the Holy Imperium continues to function; though many rumors abound that it is a constant torment to him. He is rarely, if ever seen outside military uniform or Armored Combat Suit used to make his injuries less obvious.

His personal life is basically nonexistent save a few close friends preserved in the time between the emergence of the Imperium and his withdrawal into an emotionally desolate plane.

In addition to this mental and emotional scarring there are conflicting stories about how he became physically disfigured. Official reports indicate an explosion scarring the right side of his face and putting out one eye; however the true story as far as we can tell involves being forced to use a grenade to kill his own Brother during the Imperium's Unification Wars. The same explosion removed two of his fingers.

HRH Mikhail Stein, Sultan of Marscurian Pakistan

Born in Marscury, Mikhail was the oldest son of KaiserMelech Ibrahim and Esther, his family was facing an uncertain future. Ibrahim has frequently been considered one of the least popular and least productive rulers in the history of the Marscurian Empire. A devout Jew, Mikhail frequently heard the story of Passover, and was shocked to see his father acting in a manner similar to the Pharaoh in the story. Determined to reverse his father's cruelty, Mikhail interacted with the populace from a young age, and was called the "People's Prince." After graduating from the Marscurian Military Academy, Mikhail set to work improving his country wherever he could. However, at the age of 24, he was called to lead his nation after a failed assassination attempt left KM Ibrahim in a vegetative state. Mikhail was an immensely popular leader, with appoval ratings frequently topping 90%. With his country stabilized, Mikhail decided to look for romance. After several unsuccessful relationships, he finally fell in love with a Muslim noblewoman, Lady Rania Abusameyyah, and after 6 months of courtship, they finally married.

HRH, Sultana Rania Stein

After a month of marriage, an assassin of a Jewish supremicist group attempted to kill the queen. Protecting his love, Mikhail took the second bullet, Rania's guard taking the first. After almost bleeding to death, Mikhail made a full recovery after spending days in the hospital. Not one to be kept down, he was right back on the job when he awoke. After leading the country through rough times, including an invasion from Indochina, Mikhail became the last KaiserMelech of the Marscurian Empire, as it was traded for Dragonisian Pakistan. Taking the title Sultan, Mikhail now rules his new country.

The former Prime Minister of the Byzantine Empire and later the United Kingdom of Byzantium, Greece, Georgia, and Transcaucasia, Jed Constantine is married to Laurel Asire (now Constantine) and lives in Melbourne, Promised Land/New Cymru with his brother, Aaron. Jed is a generally reserved and shy person, but he isn’t afraid to show confidence and bravery, and this has shown in his performance during his tenure as ruler of Byzantium. He has a loyal German Shepherd dog, Henry.

Aaron Constantine

Well…what can we say? Aaron Constantine is the older brother of Jed Constantine, former Emperor of the Byzantine Empire, and the United Kingdom. He is known as a party animal in Promised Land (yes, his reputation precedes him!). He lives for parties, drinking, and girls, literally; he loves to hit on girls, especially Laurel, much to her annoyance and Jed’s chagrin. Interestingly, despite his ‘smooth talk’ and so-called knowledge of everything girls, Aaron is actually single (gasp!). He had a brief relationship with Nikita, but that’s it. One of Aaron’s favorite hobbies in life, apart from holding drinking contests, crashing parties, and flirting with girls, is teasing his brother, Jed, much to Jed’s embarrassment and Laurel’s anger. Aaron is a brave and confident (if not a foolish) person, but if there’s only one thing he is TRULY scared of, it’s Jed’s wife, Laurel (so much that he doesn’t tease Jed when she’s around!). Mykep is the son of his father Mykep and Catherine Jones, Queen of the Welsh Empire was born in greenland, lived in Scandinavia under Uberstein and at the age of 16 became the Emperor of Forever Battlefield, later The Northern Empire. After the capturing and almost slaughtering of him in bed, he escaped from a communist plot to kill him, and hid in the vatican with the Pope. He did not return to his ountry in fear of it being torn to peaces over who was the rightful leader. After the fall of the Pope and The Republic, later Global Artemis Security, he became Archon of the Republic.

Mykep's name is actually Mike. His first name is atually a dediation to his great grand father and father's name. His grand father was part of the Kig-Yar Pirates, who helped bring the Scotish families to Greenland. His dying words were "Mykep" as he placed his hand over the new born baby, Mykep's father who shares the same name.

Mykep drinks, smokes cigars, and is an overall stubborn sarcastic leader. His efforts in peace seperate him from the warmongers and gives him an edge in diplomacy. He doesn't change in front of company.

He is fluent in 6 languages. He cooks, he is a trained masseuse, and he reads nightly. He has a black belt in Shotokan, Okinawa, and Ju jitsu. Whether you are talking world destruction or a first date, it is the same Mykep. He enjoys the extremities of both quiet and excitement. You'll find him rock climbing, sneaking into a country rather than use the front door, or sitting at home cuddling with a loved one or taking a stroll on the beach.

His need for peace is not without personal motivation. His obligations are torn between that of his country, world, and that for the desire of loved ones. He hopes one day he can marry a loving wife and have plenty of children, not needing to worry about whether or not the world will explode the next day. His $@y attitude is the only thing shielding this personal desire.

He was a lowly bator, until the war with Helzan, where his unit defended a small town, allowing the rest of the army to escape. After the war, he was promoted by Ragnar Ruriksson to the reank of Primero. He then began to dabble in politics, eventually being elected Triumvir. He likes fast vehicles. It is rumoured that he was a street racer before he joined the military. He is current in every single aircraft available to him. He owns a specially designed helicopter that can be converted to a jet at a moments notice. He drives an Aston Martin Vanquish. He is known for being charming.

The Executive Minister, holder of said title title and current ruler of the Nation of Nod

Not much can be said about the man known only by his title - no accurate accounts of his past and history before his rise to power can be found.

All that is known is that he has steered the NoN away from Kane's fanatical teachings - surprising, considering that he was a former member of Kane's Inner Circle - perhaps he was privy to information disturbing enough to cause his departure from Kane's flock?

It is rumoured that The EM was a former member of the military - although approximately 80 percent of the NoN's male population enlist in some standard combat or non combat roles in the military, most people in an executive position have descended from Elite Cadre training (highly specialized) only available to the most proficient in combat - hardly the shape any politician could reach and maintain.

Further more, the EM wears a standard Heavy Infantry Helm and faceplate, not the coveted ElCad Cranical Protection Suite (CPS).

Also, it is odd that the EM never shows his face, and has never disclosed a real name (which is odd for a sole ruler of a dictatorship...most relish power and have their visage displayed for all their nation to see).

More radical speculation suggests the identity of the EM to be either cyborg, Kane himself, or a mulitude of people - the latter two holding the most clout within the conspirators since the EM has 'lived' and held a positon longer and with more stability than any one General or Warlord of the Brotherhood of Nod.

Whatever the case is, the EM is devoutly followed, as he has guided the NoN to increased economic, social and military stability.

Principe Junio Valerio Scipione Borghese, Marshall of Italy, President of the Partito Fascista Repubblicano, Father of the Fatherland is de facto the leader of the Italian Republic but people never refer to him as "President". He is commander of the X° Legione "MAS" ,the frogman unit of the Italian National Republican Army, thats why people call him "Comandante" and not "Prince" or Presidente".

Junio Valerio Scipione Borghese was born in Rome. He was born into the wealthy Borghese noble family. Junio was educated in Venice, and later moved to Milan with his family where he worked with the regimes and governments that controlled northern italy in the past three years. In 2009 he formed the "Partito Fascista Repubblicano" with the goal of reunifing the Italian Peninsula under one tricolor banner.

He really doesen't like liberalism and conservative ideologies, he is an hardline-fascist and beleive italy deserves its place under the sun. Junio loves hunting and playing chess with his own generals, but hates any interference into the private sphere of his life.

DIAB is a special operative for the Babylonian Intelligence Network. He carried out special missions in defence of Babylon until the fall of the old kingdom. During the collapse numerous files and information from Babylonian archives where leaked and his alias, DIAB meaning wolf in Arabic as well as information regarding successful missions. Now he serves the Babylonian Empire as, still, the number 1 operative for the B.I.N. Several movies have been made from actual missions carried out against Persia during the MEC/Persian war several years ago. At 27 years old has become somewhat of a star in Babylon and has come to known as the James Bond of the Middle East. His knack for running into attractive women is legendary and nearly braught him to trial before the late King Balomesh for rumors of an affair with the King's daughter. He is now the Babylonian Minister of War.

Introduction:

Aged Twenty-Nine, he is already one of the richest men in Nordland and the world. He established the current Prussian state after the collapse of the Second Nordlandic Reich. He is known for his highly sophisticated and cultured lifestye, brilliant leadership, innovative combat abilities and charming personality.

Early Life:

Born Albert Beoluve Königsberg Prussia Tanzband during the Nordlandic Civil War in the city of Königsberg during it's siege. His family gravitated much respect from both sides of the war, and their estate was sparred from militarization, bombing or other destructive habits for the duration of the war. After the collapse of Nordlandic rule in the are with a Polish victory over the Eastern Territories, his family sent him--at the age of five--to The Martens School--the world's most prominent school for young people, giving them a comprehensive military and liberal arts education--in the Berlin neutral zone.

At the age of seven, he won the world championship in fencing with a never before seen style mixing traditional European Fencing with Japanese Kenjutsu and Filipino Eskrima. He claimed that he was not only the world's greatest fencer, but also the world's authority on Aikido, Krav Maga and Gung fu.

Establishing himself as a brilliant linguist in classes, maintaining fluency in eight languages at the age of ten, he was awarded a position in SS Wiking (Kaiser Martens' Historical Unit) as a translator and linguist. He was the youngest person to ever be accepted into non-combat service in any Nordlandic Reich. Serving in the Afrikan Silver Revolution, he translated the words of Afrikaners directly to Kaiser Martens and assisted in his return to power.

He turned Eighteen during the fall of the Second Nordlandic Reich and retired from the military to serve the Prussian nobility after his father died in the war.

Establishment of Greater Prussia: The Age of Neutrality:

After the Fall of the Second Nordlandic Reich, his charming abilities came into play when he convinced the much older Nobility that he was fit and proper to rule the newly established Prussia. His first goal was to return to his Family's historic home in Königsberg and reclaim it for the state of Prussia. Called Kaliningrad by the communists residing in the area, Tanzband led a purge of Communists from the area, relocating them to then Saborian Canada and Slavorussia.

The victory parade in Königsberg was a sight never seen before. The City of Nobles was alive with excitement to welcome Tanzband back home, and the rebirth of the nobility that once ruled the land. At his coronation in Königsberg, Tanzband claimed Norse Divinity, saying that he knew the will of the Aesir to guide Prussia into the next age.

With tensions rising in Europe and the Grand Army of Europe establishing an oppressive hegemony across the continent, Tanzband felt that the best way to preserve Prussian culture and hegemony in the financial sector was to declare heavily militarized neutrality. Introducing what he called "The Porcupine Doctrine", Prussia was quite possibly the largest, best trained and funded military in the Europe and the world.

At the outbreak of the Greater European War, Tanzband redacted the policy of neutrality and declared war on the Grand Army of Europe for the destruction of European culture centers with the bombing of Helsinki being a major turning point in his philosophy. Although the conflict ended in a negotiated stalemate, the military under Tanzband's leadership was able to annex all of the historic Czechlands near southern Prussia.

Silver Prussia: Prussian Reformation and The Greater Nordlandic Reich:

At the age of twenty-seven Tanzband effectively outlawed all political parties other than his own newly established and merged "Nordlandic Volk Partei" (something that was later redacted for a more regulated political process.) This included the dismantling of the Nobility under their own leadership, forcing them to report directly to Tanzband. These reforms--deemed fascist by many--were met with great excitement in Prussia and in Europe, for it was one of the first steps to the reformation of a unified Nordlandic Peoples.

As one of the most influential Nords in Europe, he began a series of talks with neighboring nations to assist in the bolstering of Nordic peoples and culture in their nations. This was a resounding success--paving the way to Nordland as we know it today.

The Modern Age: Tanzband's Königsberg:

After Nordland reunified, Tanzband sits at the high seat of Prussian Länder and also as an adviser to the Nordlandic Council in Berlin. However, he is reserving his talents on the world stage for only incredibly sensitive or prideful events in his Länder and his nation. He can be seen often taking pleasure walks throughout his home city of Königsberg speaking with it's citizens, or driving the coasts of the Länder in deep reflection. He is truly a Philosopher King with influence beyond his borders. A loved global figure, his culture and intellect is cherished worldwide.

Joseph Grozi Centuria, Emperor Emeritus of the Phoenix Empire, Speaker of the People of the Province of Phoenicia and Grand Marshal of the Phoenician Armed Forces and Order of the Phoenix aka Imperial Guard. Being born from a workers family in the old Yugoslavia and later Croatia at the age of 10 he served his first time in prison because of a protest against the established Government, when he was 21 he Commanded a force of 50,000 Armed Men to take over Zagreb thus founding Kanteero at first only in Croatia but later in the biggest part of the Balkan. After a failed assassination he has been inactive for 20 years now back from the grave.

Dragan Centuria, Supreme Judge and former Chief Judge of the Phoenix Empire/ 35 year old son of Joseph. He is a professional person and considers Justice the most important part of any country. He is a fighter for Independent Courts and due to this does not have much spare time left after work.

Milliardo Peacecraft, High Lord of the Order of the Phoenix aka Imperial Guard. A 30 year old former Viceroy of the Imperial Union and always part of the more Secret Government Organizations such as the Imperial Guard in Nova Imperium and Order of the Phoenix in the Phoenix Empire. Not much of his past is known, only that he is a son of Joseph but not with his wife. At this point he has a secret relation with a certain politician from Curristan

ReichKanzler of the Greater Nordic Reich, Scolar Visari

Scolar Visari is the leader of the Greater German Lander and Second-in-Command of the Greater Nordic Reich. He is a dreadful, ruthless, ambitious and a violent warlord, uniting Germany and Europe through his charisma.

Early years

Scolar Visari was born in Austria, Germania, during the reign of the Magna Europa Empire. He was born into a family of wealthy German extremist. In his early life, he attended various universities. Earning a degree in Anthropology and Sociology. His life would come crashing down around him; however, when the United Francoist Empire invaded Europe. It was during this invasion that his beloved mother and father were killed. While he was powerless to stop the invasion, he vowed to himself to never let Germany suffer such a humiliating defeat again.

Rise to Power

Later on in his life he ventured into the world of politics, and soon gained much attention. He would form the COMPNOR/New Order Political Party, which would rival the Conservative Party in power. The ideology of the New Order Party was simple. The Party platform was unabashedly both populist and authoritarian; it advocated sweeping changes to existing power structures to make them conform with the Party's official ideology of "Correct Thought," a totalitarian system designed as a practical application of nationalism, and boast that vigorous application of Correct Thought allowed an individual to live his entire life without ever having to make a single decision for himself.

Visari's oratorical skill and magnetic personality drawed many of the disaffected public to his cause. It spreads among them like wildfire and galvanizes them in a single recognition: that they are one people, one nation, united against all aggressors. His speeches always had three main points: Freedom of Europa, Freedom for Germania, Freedom for the Volk. His hate for foreign intervention in Germany and Europe only soared when the Grand Army of Europe was introduced. He felt this was another way for the Francoist Empire to place its jackboot into a continent, which was already ravaged by war.

During that time, the leader of Germany, the embecile Hans Luger was the President. He was a willing participate in the Grand Army of Europe, which pretty much confirmed him to be a traitor in the eyes of Scolar Visari. However, as Visari campaigned around the nation, his popularity dropped considerably. This resulted in Visari winning the elections and becoming the new leader of Germany. However, the opposition wasn't down and out, yet .

At a speech in Berlin, a lone assassin tried to take his life. While the bullet did miss Visari, hitting one of his bodyguards, he used that oppurtunity to garner more support. In a shocking move, the German Parliament granted Visari unlimited power for a period of four years. During that time, Visari used all available methods, including his dreaded "Reich Internal Security Bureau" to wipe all opposition. When asked by a foreign report about his actions he simply stated, "Let serve as a warning. For those who raise their hands against the state, death shall be their punishment."

Cementing Control

During the German Republic, President Scolar Visari passed various laws to increase his own powers. He convinced the Senate to grant him a range of "emergency" powers including an unconstitutional extension. Also, the President was given more direct power over administrative concerns, and he was allowed to overrule local provincial and sectoral governments. These laws would later become the basis of the Imperial Charter, which would cement the future ReichKaiser's powers in place.

The Emergency Powers Act

The Emergency Powers Act or EPA was an amendment to the Constitution. It eliminated term limits for Presidents, giving each President the option of when to stand down for new elections.

Enhanced Security and Enforcement Act

The Enhanced Security and Enforcement Act was a bill passed by the German Senate at the behest of President Visari. The Enchanced Security and Enforcement Act gave most of the Senate's powers to the President, and gave away most of the fundamental rights of citizens to the central government. Among other things, the Act allowed for searches and seizures to be conducted without warrants or due process, and permitted the unrestricted use of observation tools. It also dealt harsh penalties for captured pirates, smugglers, and rebels.

Reflex Amendment

The Reflex Amendment was an act passed by the German Senate at Visari's bidding. In Visari's words, the Amendment provided for "efficient streamlining of cumbersome bureaucracy." It also allowed the President to interfere in and overrule local provincial and sectorial governments.

Security Act

The Security Act passed by the German Senate nominally transferred command of the Military from the Senate directly to the President. It also removed Senatorial oversight of the military, thus placing the President in direct command of the Military and naming him Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Announcement of the Greater German Reich

Feeling his power had been firmly planted in place, Visari announced the dissolving of the German Republic into the Greater German Reich. He would embark on hundreds of building programs, designed to reform the country, provide the necessary jobs an give new hope to the people of Germany.

The Wars

After his plans had been put into place, Scolar Visari felt the need to move forward. During that time, the country was involved in numerous border skirmishes with the Italian Government. The Italians would further enroach on Reich independence by advancing 10 kilometers into the German border zone. Visari, being a man of action, would not stand for that and announced a full retaliation. However, things went downhill from there. Rebel Army would go on to launch dozens of EMPs, effectively shutting down Germania, causing the death of thousands dependent on energy resources.

Believing that such an attack was from "Weapons of Mass Destruction" Visari launched a full retaliatory strike. This would escalate into a full own nuclear war, causing the death of millions. Yet, Germany remained untouched by Nuclear weapons. This war would rage on for 3 months, until a peace agreement was finally signed. The war had been devastating, but Germany emerged as a major world power. While the war didn't achieve all of Visari's goal, it did achieve one. The collapse of the United Francoist Empire. Germany would need two years to uncover from this conflict, but it did...stronger than ever.

Soon After, Visari would become one of the main architects of the Nordic Confederacy. A treaty of unification between all great European powers. Just months after its formation, the tanks of Europe rolled once again. This time to eliminate the traitorous nation of SlavoRussia, who helped the UFE. Again, Visari had achieved his goal of liquidating yet another enemy of Europe and Germany from the world.

After the war, the Greater Nordic Reich would form, becoming one of the worlds great superpowers. Again, Visari would become one of the main architects of this; thus, cementing his legacy as one of the most influential leaders in not only Europe, but the world. The worlds opinion of Visari differs greatly. Yet, all can pretty much agree, he is a man of action.

Sean O'Deaghaidh

Seán Ó Déaghaidh was born in Seattle, in County Alki (Contae Alchai) in the State of Washington to Daniel and Patricia O'Deaghaidh. Daniel O'Deaghaidh was a successful businessman in the telecommunications industry, often travelling around the world on business trips and taking young Sean with him. Sean was fascinated with history and politics, and throughout school was in student government. Sean was also extremely athletic, winning two gold, a silver and a bronze medals in the Tahoe Youth Games for swimming.

Sean is 6'5" with blueish-green eyes. His hair is brown with a distinct red tint.

At the age of 22, he married and now has 4 children.

When Sean was 18 he entered the Tahoe Military Academy, in Los Angeles where he graduated at the top of his class. Afterwards, he requested transfer to a civilian medical school, where he earned his medical degree. Sean O'Deaghaidh served as a combat physician in the Tahoe Army Rangers, rising to the rank of Captain and earning three commendations for valor and heroism.

It was around this time Sean began to be involved in politics, organizing and speaking at National Party rallies on military bases around the country. At age 32, Sean resigned his commission and entered politics formally.

After years of serving as a soldier and National Party activist within the military, Sean decided to enter politics. His first election he was nominated by the National Party to challenge Labor Party incumbent Mary Gronewald. Although lacking electoral experience, his powerful speeches won him the election narrowly. The Socialist Party denoucned him as a dangerous demagogue, but the people believed his message and supported him.

Two years later, it was time for a general election to elect the Taoiseach. The incumbent Taoiseach, a National Party member was choosing not to run again and so the National Party held a general convention in Cruachan. As a rising star in the National Party, Sean was chosen to give the keynote speech, and this speech had such an impact that many began supporting him as the National Party nominee. Before the convention, this newfound national political support and the fact that the Labor Party chose a young politician that greatly appealed to youth voters led Sean to win primaries in numerous states, eventually giving him enough delegates to be a serious contender for the nomination, which he eventually won on the 36th ballot.

In the election, he was attacked for his very conservative beliefs, lack of experience and denounced as a fascist and demagogue. In the debates, Sean proved his ability by completely thrashing his opponent, exposing every weakness and making him contradict himself numerous times. The people of Tahoe approved, and Sean was elected Taoiseach with 56% of the vote.

Socially, Sean is a very private man, enjoying the company of family and in the tradition of reserved Tahoans, chooses to stay out of the spotlight. He spends most of his free time out of the capital and in the countryside, particularly the traditional country estate of the Taoiseach of Vikingsholm, on the shores of Lake Tahoe. There he enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking and boating with his family.

Like most Tahoan men, he is known to be reserved but forceful, absolutely intolerant of what he percieves as unacceptable behavior in the public sphere yet warm with his family. He refused an interview with this magazine as well as refusing to comment on this article.

Vicente d'Albuquerque (26)

Although he most definitively does not look or act like a blue-blooded man, Vicente most certainly is the current Monarch of Viniland.

Vicente was born while the Royal Family was vacationing in Kelowna, Columbina and is the one of the three sons and daughters of Rosa and the now deceased Vinni d'Albuqerque. His father, a very robust, stern and shrewd man, managed to maintain the Royal Family politically significant and played a major role in Vinilandese decision-making, and encouraged Vicente to engage into physical activity, as well as in the study of politics and economics. On the other hand, the softer Rosa was much more permissive and attempted to ignite her son's artistic side, but her influence was always overshadowed by Vinni's. Thus, Vicente turned out to be a strong student and leader while in Elementary School, earning very high marks and awards from Track and Football. Even after Vinni's death when he was just 10, his education lead him to the same result in High School.

However, after graduation from high school, Vicente when on a one-year trip of self-discovery across Viniland and North America. When he came back, he shocked his family by applying to the Faculty of Arts in the University of Columbina, majoring in Music and minoring in Portuguese and Italian. After graduating from University, Vicente joined several musical projects, all of them achieving moderate success. He also published several books of experimental poetry and prose, receiving critical acclaim but not widespread recognition from the public at large.

When Vicente officially became Monarch at 14, the title was already not as strong as it was under Vinni, since during Rosa's six-year reign the Parliament successfully reduced Royal power to a minimum (which was the main reason that Rosa passed on the title to Vicente despite still being "able" to rule). During his 12 year (and counting) reign, Viniland rose to be an even stronger power, although the King stood clear of actual decision-making and chose to let the Prime Minister and Parliament do their work.

The public is generally sympathetic towards Vicente, praising his musical and literary capabilities as well as his somewhat unusual attire look for a Head of State (leather jacket, long hair, etc.) although they dully note his "do nothing" attitude towards politics in general as some belief the Monarch should do something about the country.

Pasquale Bianchi (46)

Bianchi is the current Prime Minister of Viniland and the leader of the somewhat fresh yet far-reaching Partito Libertario (Libertarian Party). Born to a lawyer and a real estate agent in Calgari, Nova Coimbra, Bianchi pursued a businessman career early on - he proved to be an excellent student and won several contests and scholarships early on. He studied relentlessly while in the di Cavalcanti College, located in Edmonton and acquired a PhD in Commerce. While studying for his Master's, Bianchi managed to snatch a clerical position in Energia S.A., Viniland's largest Electricity provider, and quickly rose through the ranks. By the time he was 30, he was already the vice-Chairman of the company and a millionaire thanks to successful investments in the Stock Market.

Bianchi's political career began when he was 32. He joined the Conservative Party and became a dedicated member, as well as becoming involved in the community of his native Calgari. First, he successfully managed a nomination for Mayor of Calgari through his party, and he won a landslide victory (64%), and remained on his spot for eight years, during which his city experienced exponential growth and became Viniland's economical hub, overshadowing other major cities such as Recife, Nanaimo, Edmonton, Nadrink and Kelowna, all thanks to his libertarian economic policies, which allowed many businesses previously hampered by local taxes, red tape and insufficient infrastructure to flourish.

When he was 40, Bianchi decided to give the Parliament a shot, and won an easy victory on his riding and became an MP for the Conservatives. Four years later, however, thanks to the influx of some 2 Million Gebivians into Viniland, Pasquale Bianchi finally acquired a natural support base, as those newcomers were largely Anarcho-Capitalists or Libertarians, and Bianchi was the politician who they associated with the most, ideologically. Not long after, Bianchi founded the Partito Libertario and initiated a months-long tour across Viniland in order to spur support for the newly founded identity. Thanks in large to his efforts, but as well as the commitment of his party's rank-and-file members, the Libertarians managed to snatch a surprise win in the following Federal Elections, securing a majority in the Parliament - never had such a new party garnered so much popular support.

Since Bianchi's term began last year, Viniland has gone through many changes, including a non-belligerent and free trade foreign policy, slashing of taxes and discontinuation of many welfare services, the construction of a Fusion Power Plant and a remarkable improvement in the nation's environment thanks to incentives given to private corporations. His achievements have generally been well-received by the public given actual improvements took place, although critics say that the drastic reduction of social services (particularly to the elderly, homeless and unemployed) will cause grief and reduce the standard of livings of the former beneficiaries over the years.

The Prime Minister is not only noticeable for his achievements while in office, but as well as the attitude that led to said success - he is remarkably shrewd, clever and intelligent, almost always knowing what he is doing and talking about, as well as being quite flamboyant and aggressive when debating an issue or arguing with opponents, traits that have earned him public respect. Bianchi is also highly cultured as well, making frequent references to Vinilandese popular culture, citing Vinilandese literature and being highly knowledgeable in foreign languages - not only he is fluent in his native Italian and Portuguese, he is also very skilled at Irish, Nordic, English, German, Spanish and French, as well as knowing many other languages.

Bianchi's private life is seldom mentioned, for he rarely lets the media ask about it, preferring to talk about current issues, politics, social conditions and economics instead. He is married to Renata Bianchi, a chemical engineer, and has two sons and three daughters, as well as a grandson. it is known that on his spare time he enjoys playing football with friends, as well as playing cards and golf. He also is a voracious reader and writer, and according to him, is currently "exploring classical Greek and Roman literature".

Lavo Shalam

Early and Revolutionary Life

Lavo Shalam was born in 1985 in Israel. His father was an immigrant from what was then Quebec (part of Canada) and his mother was Israeli. His family was and he still is a devout Jew. It was around 5 years after his birth that the democratic government fell, and in it's place came a new fascist government, similar to some of the other Middle-Eastern states. As a kid in high school, he wanted to become a pilot or aerospace engineer, and above all else, wanted the rather crappy ruling body of the era to be gone and done with. In 2001 he joined a revolutionary group, named the Haganah, after the original revolutionary group that fought against the British. A year afterward he would lead an operation to save a Haganah assassin from near capture, a redheaded girl operating under the codename "Angel of Death". Little did he know at the time, but she would end up becoming his girlfriend and later his wife. Throughout that year he would be in communication with various rebel groups, and with the blessing of his leadership, petitioned for a unified front and group, for the betterment of the Middle-East as a whole. He was successful, and through his efforts the Rebel Army was born the next year. And we all know what the results of the Rebel Army brought don't we?

Post Revolution and Current Life

After the revolution, and keeping the new country together and getting it set up, Lavo ended up in politics and finally enrolled in university. He studied physics, electrical engineering, and eventually mastered in aerospace engineering. On the political front he founded the Moderates, a group which has embraced pragmatism and is fairly centrist. This party has constantly won every single RA election, each time with 45% or more of the ballot. He still has a few visible scars from the revolution, the most notable one being the large streak on the top of his left hand, which was nearly shot off by a sniper. Lavo keeps himself in shape, going to the gym at least twice per week, and he owns his own personal F-14E (which replaced his modified/rebuilt F-14D from before the war) which he frequently uses to fly internationally for personal and political events. He is known by most to be a real gentleman and all around kind person. Currently in his late 20s, Lavo Shalam enjoys flying, hiking, working out, reading up on and applying science, and spending quality time with his wife and friends. He is also an honourary pilot of the Rebel Air Force.

General Westly Davies

Westly Davies always knew he wanted to join the army, from the time he was a child.

He began his military career as a lowly lieutenant (after going through the basics at boot camp), but his sharp, tactical, and brilliant mind brought him to the attention of his superiors, and he was rapidly promoted, a remarkable feat for peacetime.

Though the nation itself was at peace, he served in several conflict around the globe against terrorist threats, and this brought further promotion.

During the months of Promised Land's closed borders and the absence of the mysterious Subtleknifewielder, it was due to his quick and decisive leadership that prevented the nation from falling into anarchy. He has asked the people to step forward and let him know at any point if they wish him to step down, but so far, no significant voice of opposition to his rule has been heard.
