News from Palestine As-salamu alaykum, I am Zeina al-Massri and this is Palestinian News. Palestine has begun construction of a road project leading from the West Bank, directly to the border with Jarusalem. The Government has offered up aid to Palestinians hoping to travel to the Holy Land as the regime has begun to follow up on what it has publicly stated as an endevour to restore the Palestinian-Muslim presence in the region and safeguard the balance of worshipers there. In other news, the Directorate of Defence has enstated (at the behest of Caliph Balomesh) the Republican Guard of Palestine that is to be the national military of West Bank and Gaza. This move comes along with the promise of defense of the new Palestinian state- never again to fall under foreign occupation. In the continued effort to carry on long-standing stability, only now under a sovereign banner, new policies have settled that jihad, in terms of armed combat and general warfare, is reserved solely as a power of the State and not to be declared by any individual or group other than the Balomesh regime in Palestine and while Islamic law governs the land, respect is given to the ancient Christian communities that dot the country such as in Bethlehem. In our next broadcast, we will be covering Palestine's expansion in the petroleum market and how this impacts you. That concludes this broadcast. Until next time, masha'allah! 2.
"For years the region in question has been firmly under the control of its indigenous Jewish population. We find the rise of this Muslim strongman and his cadre of supporters disturbing." - Michael Atrevier, Councilor Superior of Avalon
"For years before that, the regions indigenous population has been in fact Palestinian. Even considering the British-mandated Jewish state created and continued on by Rebel Army in the region, the West Bank and Gaza Strip have remained Palestinian. We simply govern ourselves, now." - Sodom Balomesh, Caliph of Palestine
3. Today the masses of Palestinians take the streets in jubilee to celebrate their independance along the collapse of the former Rebel Army. The West Bank and Gaza strip have been maintained with relative stability, and a sturdy infastructure allowing the transition to statehood to go smoothly. But the question quickly arose; Democracy? -sounds complicated. So who would lead Palestine? Who has a reputable background in these affairs? Who enjoys the trust of the people of the middle east? Eventually, someone of authority must have picked up on the refreshing scent old Babylonian royalty and a call was made.. A ringtone broke the silence of the morning as the large mustached man groaned as he turned in bed. "What ... Yes ... Of course im still alive who is this? ... Wha- Allow me to discuss it with ..." Pulling the cellphone away from his face, "haway! (honey).." The House of Balomesh, once the famed royal line that ruled the various incarnations of Babylon had, despite their escape from the public spotlights, become a prominent family with deep ties to Middle East petroleum and evidently very well connected. Within 24 hours of receiving the request, Soddom Balomesh would be hailed as the Caliph of Palestine as he would later brand himself. "Ladies and Gentlement; the Caliph of West Bank and Gaza." "Allahu akbar! Allahu akbar!" OOC: With Centurius's permission, West Bank and Gaza strip is now "Palestine"

6. *Nod* Well feel free to pick a city of your choice from the area; I'd start with a city as you can't claim more than that at your size. I'll update you on the history of the ME since you left soon.

7. A part -any part- of Babylon would be more than enough for me. I have been good also and I'm glad to see you're still holding things down in the mid. east

8. Hello old friend! I've been alright, and yourself? If you wish it, you are more than welcome to take part of Babylon again, or if you want something new, there's a bit of open space in Africa.

9. Old friend, I've returned with a new chance at RP. how have you been? ;) I wanted to ask if you would grant me a very small bit of land, really anywhere, where I may anchor down & build a stable RP from the grounds up- what say you to my request?

10. I'd give you permission if my nation was Catholic. But I'm curious to see how it works out.
11. Emperor Balomesh The title of "King" once given to all the rulers of Babylon has been replaced, today officially with the title of "Emperor". Emperor Balomesh backed a vote to switch the title following a wave of reforms that have slowly consolidated power towards himself and Babylonian military. The public has widely accepted these changes as the Empire is, according to leading local and national newspapers "in love with King Balomesh." A similal approval has been given to the Babylonian armed forces which have received much attention by the Emperor and in turn by the public. Both are now being given more power as both have seemed to pull their political weight into a close merge. And a new bill has made Emperor Balomesh commander in chief of the B.A.F. (Babylonian Armed Forces). And finally, Emperor Balomesh has reenstated the Babylonian Republican Guard, or special forces for the Babylonian Empire.
12. Massive Archeological Operations In every corner of Babylon, archeological teams have been dispatched to seek evidence of past civilizations, their beliefs, and information of the exact reach of their knowledge. King Balomesh always believed we had more to learn of the past then we could have ever imagined and this belief is shared by his grandson who is at the fore-front of the mass archeological operations throughout the empire. Already, new finds are being reported from day to day, to hour to hour. Everything from ancient pots and pans to the unearthing of a lost city has been reported. But, there are rumors of discoveries that may shake the foundation of the national religion and civilization itself. A small archeological team working near the center of the empire unearthed several stone texts of ancient Babylonian and Sumerian language. The texts reportedly depict beings from space landing on earth, and tell stories of a dream-like state that humans where a part of. This information was released by a man claiming to be part of the archeological team in the area. What is proven is that a large military presence was seen to go into the area and has since remained to oversee further excavations. We formally ask our beloved King that these findings, whatever they may be, be released as soon as they have been translated.
13. Babylonian Center for Research and Development The BCRD has been completed and is already begining work on several secret and public projects. This massive department will cover military and civil research and development programs and is believed to meet the goals, again of the late King Balomesh who strived to establish the worlds largest and greatest research center witht he help of the M.E.C. The collapse of the old Kingdom temporarily ended Babylon's efforts but the creation of this facility and the restoration of Babylon is said to be the first major step towards acheiving this. The facility is located in southern Babylon (Kuwait).
14. SCUD Missile Program Complete The Babylonian military announced today the completion of the SCUD Missile Program. The Program was given much attention during the old Kingdom and was the center of the national pride that was deep in the military. "It has been the goal of this regime to restore the Babylonian SCUD Missile Program. That goal has been met today just as the world has decends into a unknown post-war time. Advancements in our military are taking place quicker and taking leaps that are larger than any time in our past. " Length - 12.29 m Width - 0.88 m Launch Weight - 6,500 kg Range - 700 km Payload - 985 kg CEP - 50 m
15. Nope, not me. I own Iraq and Kuwait.
