The Confederation's Achievements

Newbie

Newbie (1/14)

  1. He was not in a mood for joking. "Despite the actions of radicals, I am still quite the popular leader", he said hushed so that no one passing may hear him. "We will have to figure out something...a way to conceal myself from the public eye..." He thought for a few seconds and spoke again. "Ah ha! Order your goons to dress themselves as the pro-democracy terrorists and attempt to put me under arrest. Of course, I will not go easily, felling many by my blade. However, in the end, I will be captured, and I will then make an announcement--seemingly at my own will--allowing for a full referendum to be called....yes...that will both assure my safety, and allow the fairest of discussions to take place, at least how much democracy can allow."
  2. Tanzband slowly drove his car down the busy Frankfurter street, finding an appropriate parking spot infront of a Japanese restaurant (something very common in Prussia during the Hansa Age). He wore a simple brown suit and a hat that covered his eyes. In actuality, he felt awkward without his blade and not in regalia, but this was what had to be done. Walking toward the parkbench, he sat and began to read a news magazine. A few moments later... "Heinrich...Guten abend, Wie geht es Ihnen?"
  3. Tanzband was speechless... "You....you did this?" He touched the bandage on his arm where a small chunk of shrapnel had hit. It was sore, but not as sore as his damaged ego. Thinking to himself, he contemplated the possibilities of the situation. "We will meet somewhere in Berlin...somewhere near the Deutsche Bahn entrance on Frankfurter street...of course, use a moniker and wear a disguise, we have much to discuss."
  4. He put the blade at a full defensive maneuver over his torso. "So that's it? You come to my homestead, demanding change, yet when a blade it put before you, you compromise?" He smiled. "Herr Martens...you have changed..." Tanzband turned his back and walked toward the halls of his castle, back toward the garage where his vehicle wait.
  5. Tanzband sat in utter shocked silence in his favorite library. "So this is how it goes? You'll silence those who detract against your regime? You'll just erase the entire family that has ruled Prussia since the 1200s? Your reputation precedes you Herr Martens, I would have thought you smarter than this...." Tanzband stood and took a step back from the table, slowly reaching toward his waist. "All for Prussia" he said has he pulled the blade from it's scabbard that had been passed down throughout history in his family. Taking another step back his presented the weapon to Martens, pointing it across the table. "Now...let us decide who the real Warrior is...the real Einherjar..."
  6. "No...never...I cannot stand by and allow this to happen." He pressed the panic button once again, just to humor himself. "Heh...it seems you've covered all the bases...no? So what is this? A coup? An internal overtaking?" He leaned back, thinking to himself, "I would have never thought it would end this way."
  7. Tanzband began to physically shake. "This isn't about power...this isn't about anything like that..." He slumped back down into the chair, holding back tears. "I will not act as the regent of anyone...Prussia deserves no less...and a referendum can never be fair in the current political situation..." He layed his head down on the table. "Don't speak of Sarah that way...she is a wonderful person...one of the greatest. That is the difference between the Europe of today and that of Yesterday...petty things such as religion or affiliation do not matter..." Quietly speaking, he said words that would later become famous in Prussian lore. "I will not stand down, you may arrest me, torture me, or kill me....but I will never standdown for the people of Prussia."
  8. OOC: Closed thread is closed. It's possible to avoid a blockade in a small boat, etc. No more.
  9. "Alarik Martens...." It was a name that he hadn't even thought of since the fall of Nordland. "I see what this is about..." He stood and pressed the panic button on his belt for a guard to escort Martens and his men from the castle, however no sound was made. A Prussian guard in his dress-blues walked by the room and only sighed. "I am sorry Herr Tanzband" he said in a muted voice. Tanzband was shocked. He was betrayed by his own men in his own home, the origin of his noble blood. He turned quickly toward Martens, his eyes wide open. He lifted his arms in the air and yelled at the ominous figure sitting at the table. "YOU, YOU DID THIS TO ME...TO MY COUNTRY!"
  10. "With all due respect, Europe is different now...people are not occupied with what languages they speak or where their lineage rests...the Nordlandic days were great for the European people and for the world...however they are over. It is simply not possible that we go back to the way of the ancients." He leaned back in his chair. "Your language is quite obvious Herr Martens...let us cease the sully and transparent conversation now, and speak up."
  11. Tanzband stood before the man that he both revered and feared his entire life. "Herr Martens...we all thought you were dead..." Tanzband sat in the nearest chair and ran his fingers through his hair. "So...how did you get here? Where did these old Nordlandic vehicles come from...?" He was utterly stunned, however somehow not surprised that Martens had found him there. Tanzband placed his hands flat on the table and looked up at Martens' piercing red eyes. "I know what this is about..."
  12. Albert Tanzband wished he could return to his home in Königsberg more, however the entire Summer had to be spent in Berlin overseeing the nation's reforms both domestically and internationally. However, he had decided that this weekend would be the best to escape to his ancient castle's slopes and brick. A light rain drizzled over the long and narrow pathway to the front gates of the castle as Tanzband drove himself to the security checkpoint. A man stood in the traditional all black Prussian honor guard uniform and waved him into the paddock and signaled him to stop. Pulling his car over and rolling down the window, Tanzband spoke impatiently. "Hello...how are you today? New on the guard? What seems to be the problem?"
  13. "Communism? A scourge upon humanity, you know? I just don't understand how one could live in a system filled with predestination and forced ability." He twirled a split of sauerkraut on his fork. "Well, it seems clear to me, you need to infiltrate or compromise the circle of advisers, from there, you can act."
  14. A man stood up from the bar and stumbled toward the door, a single tear streaming down his cheek.
  15. OOC: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF WHY SARAH? WHY?!
