  1. He was not in a mood for joking. "Despite the actions of radicals, I am still quite the popular leader", he said hushed so that no one passing may hear him. "We will have to figure out something...a way to conceal myself from the public eye..." He thought for a few seconds and spoke again. "Ah ha! Order your goons to dress themselves as the pro-democracy terrorists and attempt to put me under arrest. Of course, I will not go easily, felling many by my blade. However, in the end, I will be captured, and I will then make an announcement--seemingly at my own will--allowing for a full referendum to be called....yes...that will both assure my safety, and allow the fairest of discussions to take place, at least how much democracy can allow."
  2. Tanzband slowly drove his car down the busy Frankfurter street, finding an appropriate parking spot infront of a Japanese restaurant (something very common in Prussia during the Hansa Age). He wore a simple brown suit and a hat that covered his eyes. In actuality, he felt awkward without his blade and not in regalia, but this was what had to be done. Walking toward the parkbench, he sat and began to read a news magazine. A few moments later... "Heinrich...Guten abend, Wie geht es Ihnen?"
  3. Tanzband was speechless... "You....you did this?" He touched the bandage on his arm where a small chunk of shrapnel had hit. It was sore, but not as sore as his damaged ego. Thinking to himself, he contemplated the possibilities of the situation. "We will meet somewhere in Berlin...somewhere near the Deutsche Bahn entrance on Frankfurter street...of course, use a moniker and wear a disguise, we have much to discuss."
  4. He put the blade at a full defensive maneuver over his torso. "So that's it? You come to my homestead, demanding change, yet when a blade it put before you, you compromise?" He smiled. "Herr Martens...you have changed..." Tanzband turned his back and walked toward the halls of his castle, back toward the garage where his vehicle wait.
  5. Tanzband sat in utter shocked silence in his favorite library. "So this is how it goes? You'll silence those who detract against your regime? You'll just erase the entire family that has ruled Prussia since the 1200s? Your reputation precedes you Herr Martens, I would have thought you smarter than this...." Tanzband stood and took a step back from the table, slowly reaching toward his waist. "All for Prussia" he said has he pulled the blade from it's scabbard that had been passed down throughout history in his family. Taking another step back his presented the weapon to Martens, pointing it across the table. "Now...let us decide who the real Warrior is...the real Einherjar..."
  6. "No...never...I cannot stand by and allow this to happen." He pressed the panic button once again, just to humor himself. "Heh...it seems you've covered all the bases...no? So what is this? A coup? An internal overtaking?" He leaned back, thinking to himself, "I would have never thought it would end this way."
  7. Tanzband began to physically shake. "This isn't about power...this isn't about anything like that..." He slumped back down into the chair, holding back tears. "I will not act as the regent of anyone...Prussia deserves no less...and a referendum can never be fair in the current political situation..." He layed his head down on the table. "Don't speak of Sarah that way...she is a wonderful person...one of the greatest. That is the difference between the Europe of today and that of Yesterday...petty things such as religion or affiliation do not matter..." Quietly speaking, he said words that would later become famous in Prussian lore. "I will not stand down, you may arrest me, torture me, or kill me....but I will never standdown for the people of Prussia."
  8. OOC: Closed thread is closed. It's possible to avoid a blockade in a small boat, etc. No more.
  9. "Alarik Martens...." It was a name that he hadn't even thought of since the fall of Nordland. "I see what this is about..." He stood and pressed the panic button on his belt for a guard to escort Martens and his men from the castle, however no sound was made. A Prussian guard in his dress-blues walked by the room and only sighed. "I am sorry Herr Tanzband" he said in a muted voice. Tanzband was shocked. He was betrayed by his own men in his own home, the origin of his noble blood. He turned quickly toward Martens, his eyes wide open. He lifted his arms in the air and yelled at the ominous figure sitting at the table. "YOU, YOU DID THIS TO ME...TO MY COUNTRY!"
  10. "With all due respect, Europe is different now...people are not occupied with what languages they speak or where their lineage rests...the Nordlandic days were great for the European people and for the world...however they are over. It is simply not possible that we go back to the way of the ancients." He leaned back in his chair. "Your language is quite obvious Herr Martens...let us cease the sully and transparent conversation now, and speak up."
  11. Tanzband stood before the man that he both revered and feared his entire life. "Herr Martens...we all thought you were dead..." Tanzband sat in the nearest chair and ran his fingers through his hair. "So...how did you get here? Where did these old Nordlandic vehicles come from...?" He was utterly stunned, however somehow not surprised that Martens had found him there. Tanzband placed his hands flat on the table and looked up at Martens' piercing red eyes. "I know what this is about..."
  12. Albert Tanzband wished he could return to his home in Königsberg more, however the entire Summer had to be spent in Berlin overseeing the nation's reforms both domestically and internationally. However, he had decided that this weekend would be the best to escape to his ancient castle's slopes and brick. A light rain drizzled over the long and narrow pathway to the front gates of the castle as Tanzband drove himself to the security checkpoint. A man stood in the traditional all black Prussian honor guard uniform and waved him into the paddock and signaled him to stop. Pulling his car over and rolling down the window, Tanzband spoke impatiently. "Hello...how are you today? New on the guard? What seems to be the problem?"
  13. "Communism? A scourge upon humanity, you know? I just don't understand how one could live in a system filled with predestination and forced ability." He twirled a split of sauerkraut on his fork. "Well, it seems clear to me, you need to infiltrate or compromise the circle of advisers, from there, you can act."
  14. A man stood up from the bar and stumbled toward the door, a single tear streaming down his cheek.
  15. OOC: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF WHY SARAH? WHY?!
  16. Representatives in Berlin are calling for a temporary, yet guarded ceasefire in order to meet with officials from the opposite side of the lines.
  17. Prussia is to immediately send a diplomat to Moscow to discuss a neutral stance toward eachother in a time of possible Prussian v. Russian war. Our pact has been of the utmost priority of Prussian foreign policy.
  18. Albert Tanzband stood in Berlin, at the steps of the Reichstag and addressed a group of legislators, soldiers, press and citizens that stood for blocks. He spoke strongly and with ability, something not heard from the often soft-spoken and coolheaded leader of Prussia. "The position of Prussia in Europe and the World will not be determined by its liberalism but by its power. Prussia and the Eurasian Union must concentrate its strength and hold it for the favorable moment, which has already come and gone several times. Since the treaties of Vienna and the Central European Union, our frontiers have been ill-designed for a healthy body politic. Not through speeches and majority decisions will the great questions of the day be decided - that was the great mistake of the Central European Union and Greater Nordland - but by Iron and Blood. I must protest that I would never seek foreign conflicts just to go over domestic difficulties; that would be frivolous. I am speaking of conflicts that we could not avoid, even though we do not seek them. It is conflicts such as the situation in Europe of late with the wretched actions made by those who lead the Holy Roman Empire and the former Bavaria. So clobbeth the Bavarian so that they despair; they have my deepest sympathy for their situation, but, if we want to exist, we have no choice but to wipe them out; the wolf cannot help it that he was created by God the way he is, but one shoots him yet, if one can. When discussing resolutions for the current situation and those previous with the Bavarians, we were met by only snide remark and false promises of freedom of states that did not appear. Although they wish the world to see them as gentlemen, they were indeed held in the heart of pirates. With a gentleman I am always a gentleman and a half, and when I have to do with a pirate, I try to be a pirate and a half. The soothsayers of The Holy Roman Empire will have you say that their empire will be a benefit to the world. No, they only speak to preserve their lies and hate upon the people of Prussia, the people of Europe and the people of the world. A conquering army on the border will not be stopped by eloquence and lies. Tonight we make a stand! Tonight we ride for victory in Europe! " *Mobilizations * Prussian stealth bombers flew high over the skies of the industrial centers of Bavaria, bombing strategic points of industry and bridges, with a priority on bombing airfields and their runways. Additionally, Tactical jägerbomber groups have begun scanning the border regions for infantry movements made by the HRE forces and have begun engaging their targets on the ground. Armeegruppe Gunther began to move in a swept V pattern across the border, noting to spread out to avoid aerial or artillery bombardment. Additionally, 10,000 Gebirgsjäger troops have been Para-dropped in the south of Bavaria as scouts and to clear the way for a mass assault coming from regular infantry units. Prussia was indeed ready, Fall Bayern had begun.
  19. *Secret* Armeegruppe Gunther, the pride of the Prussian Landwehr, consisting of 250,000 troops, 3000 Armored Vehicles, 10 squadrons of Close Air Support Aircraft and Helicopters and a plethora of lightly armored cars and support vehicles have been moved 40 kilometers south of Erfurt, Thuringia Länder. The troops have been placed on full alert for mobilization. The Luftwaffe in Warsaw has prepared to begin stealth bombing campaigns and missile attacks to strategically important areas. The first goal of the bombing campaign was to not harm civilians and to only weaken the attacking power of the southern forces. The Preußen Homeguard Armee (675,000) are to be dispersed in major city centers across Prussia. The Kriegsmarine Baltic Taskforce (6 carrier fleets) is on high alert and prepared to repel any attacks coming from the north or far east. The Prussian Samoa Garrison (30,000 marines and 1 carrier fleet) will remain at normal status.
  20. OOC: WAY TO FORGET ME SARAH /me cries
  21. "Now now...do not speak to soon..." He tapped his fingers upon the table and thought intensely. "There might be a way for you to seize power in Annihilation...let's think this out. Can you give me a survey of the political situation on the island?"
  22. "Why are we discussing Nordland when this bloc has no relation to, and no convictions of the Nordlandic regime? You people speak as if you were paranoid schizophrenics stabbing the knife of prejudice and racism into the darkness that had once fallen over Europe."
  23. Another op-ed in a Warsaw paper explained world sentiment: "Excuses. It is all the world has for their utter racism against the German people. German culture and the German people contributed very little to the values and convictions that Nordland held. No, it was Proto-Scandinavian cultures that truly pervaded around the world. I believe if the applied racism the world holds for nations and peoples not even involved in Nordlandic idealism, we should be condemning the peoples of Sweden, Norway and Finland, as it was also their historical ideologies from thousands of years ago that pervaded Nordland. It is sickening that such excuses are considered to be fact by some nations. Indeed, they are the ones who will be at fault in the end."
  24. The Commonwealth holds no German areas, no. They are most certainly under Prussian domain.
