  1. Duh, Trigun. This announcement is incredibly exciting for me. I have the pride of having friends in each of these alliances, and I am more than pleased to see the somewhat...spotty...relations between NoR and TPF. This moment is marked with the first step forward between NoR and TPF, and I hope it's the first of many.
  2. Magna Europa and Nordreich are alliances with similar destinies. We are in ever sense of the word, brothers. It is with great pride that I sign this decree for Magna Europa's merger into Nordreich. Indeed, together we will accomplish great things. Heil Europa! Heil Nordland!
  3. All Prussian forces in the area have been recalled into the Prussian Valkurheim Exclave. Welcome Chimaira.
  4. The Prussian troops jumped up from their defenses and walked toward the Croats. "Welcome friends! Welcome to Prussia and your newly formed lands!"
  5. The first lines of armor breached the border regions and began adding to the preexisting defenses of important towns and cities. The border region was in order and prepared to identify and report on all hostile targets. The first scout unit had reported seeing Croatian APCs nearing the border region. The troops dug in and prepared...today would help define their lives and their nation...
  6. Generalfeldmarschall Gunther was prepared. Already, Europe was degrading into it's old militaristic and waring ways. Immediately, he dispatched 50,000 troops, 100 tanks and artillery pieces, and ordered the Luftwaffe to scramble to the area where Croat movements were detected. In response to the impending invasion, a press blackout was ordered on all areas involved. Gunther called the Croatian embassy in Berlin to see exactly what the Croats had to say for themselves. "If they want a war, they'll get it."
  7. "We vote yes to all motions on the floor."
  8. He took the wine cooler and eyed it's label. "Not Feminine....no...I used to drink these as a child..." He said it in a sarcastic, yet humorous tone. "Forgive my expedience, but my advisers always forget that my staff-jet is super-sonic, and never calculate the correct times for flight...." He took a sip of the sweet liquid and put it down on the sandy ground. No more for him. "I am here today...to plead to you for this island, and it's three sisters...you see...this land was forged in German blood. In the late 1800s, the Americans, British and Germans fought a long proxy war for control...in 1900, we all agreed to separate the islands. Germans to the west, and Americans to the east. He pointed to the east at the former American Samoa. These islands are in my veins you see..." He handed the picture to Sarah. "That's my great grandfather...he was one of the first germans to settle here once the war ended. You see, unlike the other super-powers, Germanic colonies weren't formed to economically exploit the natives. No, they were formed to develop the area and bring the Germanic way of life to it's people. We worked to keep hem self-sufficient and proud. Sarah...please allow me to do this again for these proud people. Allow me to realize the dreams of my elders and to satisfy the spilled blood of my ancestors and those who were brave enough to fight along with them."
  9. Tanzband bowed to the man and handed him a small bag filled with golden coins. Smiling, he sat down on the beach. "Make sure you buy yourself something really nice with that." The man was utterly stunned, he had inherited around $20,000 in bouillon just by driving down a thin road for a few minutes. Tanzband laid back on the sand in his traditional white uniform and glared at how blue the sky was and how the waves rustled against the shore. He fished through his pocket for a small sepia toned picture, lifting it to his face to shade his eyes. The picture was old and smelled like mildew and had stain on it's front that was shaped like the bottom of a coffee cup. Tanzband stared at the picture of the man carrying a Prussian Needle Gun shaking the hands of two natives that were heavily adorned in paints and leafs. Tanzband thought to himself about times past...days when Prussians lived around the world and were ruled by other Prussians. An empire some would say...but it was far from the truth, Prussia sought to help the world, and nothing else. Under his breath he spoke..."Great Grandfather...your dream will be realized...I assure you..." Laying back down, he closed his eyes and listened to the cool breeze and the ocean, careful not to wake Sarah up.
  10. "The world is different now..." Tanzband addressed the graduating class at the Königsberg Military Academy. It is something that he always liked doing...watching boys turn into men, and men turn into officers. "The world is different now...Europe is free from oppression, Asia is free from the economic stranglehold it has held periodically for the past decades, democratic thought and ideals have begun to rise across the planet, and for once the world is at peace." The crowd cheered. "Now is a time for opportunity...a time to spread the ideals of love and peace to the world. Now is a time to look back on our pasts and realize that all nations make mistakes, and that all nations make great leaps forward in the development of the world. It is of course, it is the nation that contributes more to the world than it takes that is remembered throughout history as great and noble. So I compel to you, future leaders of the Prussian Heer and Luftwaffe, future leaders of industry and future leaders of the world. Look at this time of peace and opportunity as your time. Heed the guidance of those who came before you, mimic their successes and do not repeat their mistakes. Yes...today is a great day in the history of man...but together we can make tomorrow even better." He bowed to the crowd and shook the hands of each of the deans before he parted off stage right. Expectantly, the crowd went wild. As he crept backstage he thought to himself, "Indeed...today is wonderful...but tomorrow..." He smiled at his security detail and his pilot who were waiting for him at the security access point. "Well gents, I suppose we're off then?" The pilot sprung up..."Yes sir...yes." They walked quickly as a group to the air training field that lay right infront of the converted hanger/auditorium and boarded Tanzband's trademark Concorde. The jet's engines purred and whistled as it taxied the runway headed eastbound. Wherever the aircraft was headed...it was away from Prussia.
  11. "Radio report from Danzig Air Command" Generalfeldmarschall Gunther nodded to his aide. "Push the transfer to my desk." "Jawohl" the aide soon rushed out of the room to tell the communications officer the command. Generalfeldmarschall Gunther sat and put on the communications headphones, he knew what Air Command had to say wasn't necessarily open-office clearance. "Patching you through now..." Gunther nodded, waiting impatiently for the patch to finally drop. He was rewarded with the familiar 'open-line' static signifying the opening of communications. "Generalfeldmarschall Gunther, this is Oberst Friedman from the 34th Luftwaffe Division. Approximately fifteen minutes ago, we received transmissions coming from the Sverige. Apparently a domestic terror group attempted to assassinate their sovereign." Gunther was shocked. "Status?" Friedman continued with his script. "Unknown sir. Approximately five minutes ago we identified a Gulfstream aircraft traveling with barrings 422.231 W toward Königsberg, tailstatus SE-AGR. This aircraft is in violation of a Sverige order to ground all craft. We have significant reason to believe that the terrorists responsible for the assassination attempt earlier today. What are your orders?" Gunther was not amused, a fairly new nation and already being preyed upon by terrorist scum. "Scramble a compliment of fast-fliers, box in the plane and force landing in Königsberg. If they do not comply, lead them to Warsaw-Martensheim or Berlin. Clear the runways at the civilian airfields and place GROM boarding teams across the nation on full alert. We're going to bag these scum." PRU-201 Fighters scrambled toward the Ostsee to intercept the terrorist aircraft
  12. OOC: Lol vinlandish IC: A Prussian diplomat will be sent, if the meeting comprises promise, a high ranking member of the government will replace them immediately.
  13. Nope, they're one of the few to resist it. Pound is still the strongest currency in the world.
  14. Well, Prussia's currency is backed by an insane amount of gold from the Nordlandic period so errr.... >_>
  15. Albert sighed and pressed his fingers on his nose, right between his eyes. He nodded to Welkin and sighed again. Soon, mechanized infantry units crossed over in the Belarus flying the Prussian banner along with The Hanseatic Commonwealth's. They drove through the cities, waving and smiling at townsfolk as they passed through. Occasionally a young child would receive a candy bar and a salute from an officer. Helicopters filled with officers and senior advisers to Tanzband landed in Valkurheim and rose the Prussian flag over the city. They smiled and shook hands with the Hanseatic soldiers and dignitaries leaving the city. The following was released to the public:
  16. OOC: Yeah, I'll never RP him again...I really couldn't care what happened to Zamoyski
  17. OOC: Nordland wasn't even a country when that happened...hell half of existing Nordland fought the nations that nuked RA...
  18. Tanzband sat at the defense table, he wore a simple black suit and a red tie. With his hands crossed on his lap, he listened as his defense began procedures. His attorney, Alfred Memelhem--the legal master behind Prussia's independence from Nordland and the current liberation of the various European ethnic groups across Europe--stood and addressed the jury. "Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury...Albert Tanzband is no criminal. Indeed, if it were not for the actions that Tanzband took during the Mariehamm Campaign, and during the duration of Nordland's rule. Was it not this gentleman who ordered the destruction of the nuclear and chemical weapons aimed toward the Hansa homeland? Was it not this gentleman who worked with TEC and Coalition forces for the weeks and days prior to the declaration of war against The Greater Nordlandic Reich? Aside from his current actions, it is obvious that Herr Tanzband is separate from the despots his nation associated with. When Prussia joined Nordland, he was temporarily put into exile by Herr Bruno Zamoyski, only to return himself to his beloved to reform the Prussian system and their relation with the world and Nordland. Tanzband was always open to speak with nations cut from any cloth and of any system. Contrary of popular belief, Herr Tanzband--a man who built great respect within the aristocracy and citizenry of his nation--was not affiliated with the functions of Nordland Proper, no, he was essentially a governor of the Prussian länder, a man who fought for his citizens, and not the nation proper. He was a man you could consider a moderate in the world scheme, and a radical liberal compared the other leaders of his nation. He allowed democracy to flow in his länder, the only länder in Nordland to do so. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, I present to you a man who did not take lives...but rather saved millions. If it were not for the noble and brave actions that Herr Tanzband took, the war would have never ended, nuclear hell would be spread around the world, and the people of Europe would not be free. Thank You." He sat and smiled at Tanzband, waiting for the rebuttal.
  19. Zamoyski stood, he needed no lawyer for what he was about to say. "My reputation precedes me...I rather detest the charges of crushing societies and murdering cultures. No...what I did with Herr Martens was not destroy cultures...no...we created a new culture! A great culture! Europe will never be the same after Nordland had ruled...men will strive for our greatness." He took a sip of water and laughed. "You know...when Herr Martens and I met on multiple occasions for the formation of Nordland, we sought not destroy, but create. However, with Herr Martens missing, I must take the brunt of the burden that the world sees Nordland as holding." He sat down and put his hands forward. "You gonna put the cuffs of me now, or just line me up for the firing squad right here?" He shed a small tear, thinking of his wife and new born child, it was all over.
  20. OOC: He'll be pleading guilty...it's the last two that probably need a thread.

  22. Freistaat Preußen Flag of the Freestate Borussia, Prūsija, Prusy, Prusko, Poroszország, Preußen Foreword: A History of the Prussian Nation: Excerpt from the book "Preußen" written by Feliks von Danzig Prussia first originatined out of the Duchy of Prussia and the Margraviate of Brandenburg in 1525. As a significant German-speaking state comprised of a majority Lutheran practicing populace within the existing Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, it strove for independence and reform. The House Hohenzollern was on the forefront of this reform, striving to unify their lands in south-east Germany, with their now ruled lands in Prussia. Significant strives forward were made during the 30 years war, when although many nations marched through Hohenzollern lands, their armies were crushed by a strong military tradition and dedicated--yet small--base of warriors. Prussia in Approximately 1600 With the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth floundering after the war, and under attack from the Swedish and other European Powers during The Swedish Deluge, the Polish leadership felt that Prussian leadership as an independent state would turn the tide of the war. In 1657, the Treaty of Wehlau was signed, establishing Prussia as it's own free nation. However, by the time Frederick William I and King Władysław IV Vasa signed and established border regions, the war was over. Frederick William became known as the "Great Elector" for his introduction of absolutism into Brandenburg-Prussia. Above all, he emphasized the importance of a powerful military to protect the state's disconnected territories. On 18 January 1701, Frederick William's son, Elector Frederick III, upgraded Prussia from a duchy to a kingdom and crowned himself King Frederick I. The tradition of Hohenzollern monarchs and elected leaders continues to this day. During the reign of King Frederick William II (1786–1797), Prussia annexed additional Polish territory through further Partitions of Poland. His successor, Frederick William III (1797–1840), announced the union of the Prussian Lutheran and Reformed churches into one church, establishing the state religion of Prussia as Prussian Unionism. Frederick William III, The Great Unifier of Prussian lands and cultures Prussia took a leading part in the French Revolutionary Wars, but remained quiet for more than a decade due to the Peace of Basel of 1795, only to go once more to war with France in 1806 as negotiations with that country over the allocation of the spheres of influence in Germany failed. Prussia suffered a devastating defeat against Napoleon Bonaparte's troops in the Battle of Jena-Auerstedt, leading Frederick William III and his family to flee temporarily to Memel. Under the Treaties of Tilsit in 1807, the state lost about half of its area, including the areas gained from the second and third Partitions of Poland, which now fell to the Duchy of Warsaw. Beyond that, the king was obliged to make an alliance with France and join the Continental System. These actions ushered in one of the darkest moments in Prussian history. In response to this defeat, reformers such as Stein and Hardenberg set about modernising the Prussian state. Among their reforms were the liberation of peasants from serfdom, the emancipation of Jews and making full citizens of them (at the time, non-Lutherans were considered second rate-citizens) , and the institution of self-administration in municipalities. The school system was rearranged, and in 1818 free trade was introduced. The process of army reform ended in 1813 with the introduction of compulsory military service. After the defeat of Napoleon in Russia, Prussia left its forced alliance with France and took part in the Sixth Coalition during the "Wars of Liberation" (Befreiungskriege) against the French occupation. Prussian troops under Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher contributed crucially in the Battle of Waterloo of 1815 to the final victory over Napoleon. Prussia's reward in 1815 at the Congress of Vienna was the recovery of her lost territories, as well as the whole of the Rhineland, Westphalia, and other small connective territories. Prussia emerged from the Napoleonic Wars as the dominant power in Germany, overshadowing her long-time rival Austria, which had given up the imperial crown in 1806. In 1815 Prussia became part of the German Confederation as it's leading member. Bright days were ahead for Prussia. Overtime, struggles between democratic liberals and the ruling aristocrats heeded the rewards of compromise, allowing for the establishment of a Prussian constitution which established a parliamentary system divided between the Prussian Landtag and The House of Lords (Herrenhaus). This move was seen as incredibly progressive across Europe and the world, with mounting pressures on governments around the world and revolutions aplenty. In 1862 King William I appointed Otto von Bismarck as Prime Minister of Prussia. Bismarck was determined to defeat both the liberals and conservatives and increase Prussian supremacy and influence among the German states. The following wars--collectively known as Wars of unification--would finally form a unified Germany, after thousands of years of small city states and municipalities ruling the land. Schleswig Wars--a war against Denmark--in which the The Austro-Prussian forces defeated the Danes with significant force and tactical advantage. The result of the war set up a dual administration between the Prussians and the Austrians of Schleswig and Holstein. Realizing that a two-state rule was only a short-term solution, Bismarck prepared for war with the Austrians. In 1866, Prussian-led Germany provoked Austria politically and diplomatically over the administration of Schleswig and Holstein. The war the broke out soon after became what was as close to an all German civil war as possible. The Austrians--mustering the help of the Bavarians, Saxons, and other southern and central German states, and the Prussians with their grand coalition which included Italy, Bremen, Hamburg and Lübeck. The Deutscher Krieg had begun. The Belligerents of the Deutscher Krieg. Guide: Red Areas: Austria and Allies Blue Areas: Prussia and Allies Green Areas: Neutral States Yellow Areas: Schleswig and Holstein (disputed areas) The war waged successfully for the Prussians, due to superior tactics, numbers and more advanced technology. However, a fear that was shared by both the Austrians and the Prussians began to loom over the war. Foreign intervention by the French or the Russians was imminent. In order to forestall intervention by France or Russia, Bismarck pushed King William I to make peace with the Austrians rapidly, rather than continue the war in hopes of further gains. The Austrians accepted mediation from France's Napoleon III. The Peace of Prague on August 23, 1866 resulted in the dissolution of the German Confederation, Prussian annexation of many of Austria’s former allies, and the permanent exclusion of Austria from German affairs. This left Prussia free to form the North German Confederation the next year, incorporating all the German states north of the Main River. Prussia chose not to seek Austrian territory for itself, and this made it possible for Prussia and Austria to ally in the future, since Austria was threatened more by Italian and Pan-Slavic irredentism than by Prussia. After the war, most of Germany was unified under the flag of the Prussian Hohenzollern Family and under the rule of the great leader Bismarck. However, foreign meddling continued around Europe, when the French took subject with a Hohenzollern leader in a Spanish state. The weak leadership of Napoleon III excepted the German states to war over the matter, and foolishly declared war on Prussia. However, nearly every German state honored their treaties to Prussia and rose against the pathetic French advance. France was utterly crushed in the war, concluding with the Treaty of Frankfurt, allowing Prussia to annex Alsace-Lorraine from the French. As a result of the war, Bavaria, Baden and Württemberg joined with the North German Confederacy, allowing for a true German Empire to be established, and Prussia was at it's helm. Historic and "True" Prussian Holdings within the German Empire The years preceding the Great War were excellent for the Prussian and the German people. Economically, Scientifically and Militarily the state boomed, making it one of the world's most progressive nations. Forging an alliance with the Austrian-Hungarians and other nations across the center of Europe, diplomatically Prussia was unstoppable. Until the meddling of foreign nations in Austrian affairs. The world was plunged in it's first world war. Germany, led by Prussian innovators and generals won significant early victories in the war against the French, Italians and British. However, the treason of some and the economic downturn that occurred as a result of the war was too much for Germany and her allies, signing the treaty of Versailles, plunging Germany--and Prussia with it--into by far the darkest hours of her history. With the economic and honorific damage done by the war, the terrors of National Socialism began to creep throughout Germany. Adolf Hitler, an Austrian, used the large Prussian brain bank to establish a bastardized system of rule that continues to be a scar on the Prussian and German People. Prussian Generals led the armies of Germany to war again, but this time, not for their nation, but for an ideology of hate. Many Prussian generals resisted Hitler's policies of hate, even going as far as planning and executing the July 20th plot. However, overextended in war, the nation of Germany was once again defeated by the Western European Powers. The allies divided Germany into sections, and essentially damned Prussia to nonexistence. However, it was to be short lived. Approximately 100 years after the terrors of Nazism were purged from Germany, a doctor named Kaiser Martens, disgusted at the newly formed Liberal Dictatorships, Stalinist and National Socialist German states that had formed. Using his connection to the German people, he mustered all of his strength and ability to attempt to realize Bismarck's dream. Now called "The Silver Revolution", Martens eliminated the Communists, Dictators and Nazis from Europe for it's last time. Establishing the new Deutschland, Germany ruled in peace for many years. However, with chaos striking Germany, Kaiser Martens' exile from the continent and the newly established Polish rule of most of the old Prussian lands, Prussia was reborn. The nation was not reborn in the traditional sense, but in the halls of Legislation and Aristocracy, Prussia was back in full force. The Hohenzollern family returned from exile to retake their place as rightful rulers of the Germanic states. Soon, merging with the previous regime of "Prussian Domain" (sans Martens), the nations became known as "Greater Nordland". Once again, the super-German state did not last long, collapsing after a long war of imperialism against the Slavorussian nation, backed by the majority of the world's developed nations. However, from the ashes of Greater Nordland, the true Prussian state was reestablished with it's capital in Königsberg, the historic home of the Prussian people. Led by Albert Tanzband, a young politician and patriarch of the House Hohenzollern, the state thrived in neutrality until the Greater European War, where it attempted to crush the oppressive German regime to it's west. The war ended in a nuclear stalemate between the nations. However, excitement once again struck Prussia, Europe, and the World. Kaiser Martens had once again returned to Europe, and strove to reunify the German peoples of Europe. Prussia, with many of it's citizens still loyal to Deutschland roared to join with other European nations to establish "The Greater Nordlandic Reich". Albert Tanzband, then Kaiser of Prussia objected to the move, and resigned his post as Kaiser of Prussia temporarily and went into exile in Rebel Army, only to return later and be elected governor of the Nordlandic länder of Prussia. Prussia's flag in the Nordlandic period However, Tanzband had one last trick of his sleeve. On the eve of war with the Republic of Mariehamm, Tanzband held a secret meeting with the coalition against Nordland. Ruling that he wished for Prussia to be free from the bonds of Nordland, and to establish a democracy in it's midst. With the launch of nuclear weapons by an unstable German state, their interception by Prussian missile defense systems, and the invasion of Germany proper by Prussian forces, the war was over and The Freistaat Preußen was born. Tanzband pushed for the liberation of other nations in Europe, including old adversaries in Lübeck and Bavaria. Europe before the Prussian led liberation of ethnic and national groups across the continent. Displays Prussia's current land holdings. White lands were Prussian Protectorates Currently Prussia is one of the largest and most economically, diplomatically, and militarily powerful nation in Europe and the world and a founding member of the Central European Union. The nation enjoys ties with nations around the world, an incredibly affluent population and a strong tradition of Prussian history. Everyday, the Prussian people step forward to establish the goals of the future and to realize the dreams of the Prussian forefathers. Prussia has returned to her former greatness.
