1. Hey Lynneth, you can wipe me, I'm done.
2. "Since the Collapse of Tion, Murmansk has been under the control of Norwegians. Regardless of how this vote turns out, I know that the effects of the Norwegian era on these people has had an effect on them, and they have changed as a people because of it. We wish the people of Murmansk well in their choosing of a new ruling nation, and hope that the Slavorussians realize that the Murmansk they get, should they win, may not be the Murmansk that they expect. Either result will be hailed by the Plymouthian government as a glorious show of democracy, and powerful sign of self determination for then people of both Slavorussia and Norway. EDIT: It's me !@#$%*es
3. "We are intrigued to see a nation founded on a banner of peace, despite our world's often dangerous, rouge, and far too often brash states. We truly wish to see this experiment succeed for Côte d'Ivoire and its people, truly then would we see a world where unprovoked violence becomes a rarity rather than a norm, a world dedicated not to national posturing but to its people. We are pleased to extend recognition to Côte d'Ivoire, and we hope to see your nation and its founding ideals flourish."
4. "Since the days of Sverige, there has never been a truly independent Swedish state, until today. In Plymouth, we are pleased to live in a world where the self determination of the Swedish people is supported by its neighboring, and formerly controlling regimes. We hope that Svearike will prosper despite the often tremulous European diplomatic waters, and we gladly extend diplomatic recognition to your nation. Long Live Svearike."
5. "We are deeply saddened to see our once great northern neighbor fall. We sincerely hope that the people of Disparu find a new home, a new nation to live in, however we highly doubt it shall be one as noble as the one that came before. Flags in Plymouth will fly at half-mast in morning for this fallen state." OOC: Goodbye Pikachurin, and good luck with life away from CNRP.

7. “So…” the former Norwegian King began, “that was fun.” “The part where the nugget took over the parliament,” The now deposed Prime Minister Ben Hermansson said, blowing a cloud of smoke from his mouth, “or the part when Jens started taking it back?” “I was talking about the time when we took over the country when the government collapsed, and the period of time when we ruled a new, peaceful Norway.” “And Sweden,” The equally deposed Swedish Minister Lena Dahlberg added. “Wait, I have question,” Komeil said, leaning over from his seat in the mahogany clad bar in the nearly deserted city of Southport, “I thought Jens Stoltenberg dead. Die in fire, during revolution, yes?” Heimdall paused, “Yes… I believe he did…” “Different guy, same name,” Baggs said, putting down his martini, “They’re cousins, this one is a lot more socialist. Big coincidence, eh?” “But that doesn’t—“ “Look, that’s not the problem here,” Lena cut in, “We’re pariahs now. Dayus, Ben and I are on the outs, we’d still be under house arrest if you all hadn’t cut in,” She continued, gesturing toward Baggs and Komeil. “We can’t stay here! Mattis and his dogs are already hunting us down, and I’d be willing to bet he just kills us as some sort of BS victory for his cause before the new government steps in.” “Ah, how I wish I had held onto this country,” Baggs reminisced, “When I owned the land and the seas, led the people, had giant piles of money… Those were the days…” “I miss free bottomless fish bucket at Admiral Aardvark’s Food Emporium…” Komeil said, frowning. “It doesn’t count as free if you stole it at gunpoint Komeil.” “But was so much fish!” Heimdall stood, and walked across the room, his footfall making a hollow tap on the wooden floors, “We need to leave.” “The sooner the better,” Hermansson added. “Agreed,” Baggs began, “ADI still has life in it. We can move headquarters out of the country, into a new one. We can bale out as many employees as necessary; we still have enough money to deal with all the immigration fees under the sun.” “And salmon. I think I miss salmon most of all…” Komeil whimpered, verging on tears, “And Herring. Herring very good too. I love herring.” “So, we run away,” Lena maintained, “But where do we go. We’ll be bringing a lot of baggage; escapees, ‘criminals,’ artifacts—“ “An entire bloody multinational corporation,” Ben muttered. “I’ve still got connections outside Norway,” Baggs divulged, “Sure, a lot of them want to see me dead, but I still reckon that I can get some help. Hell, one of my old friends from college is working in the Plymouthian Government. We could blackmail him into letting us in.” “Why on earth would we want to go there?” Heimdall scoffed, “That nationalist tripe hole probably won’t let us in if we can’t talk in that retarded Baaaaast’n Draaaaaaall.” Baggs glared at his former employee, and more recently former king, “Let me ask you something Dayus: When was ADI the most lucrative?” “The first years after taking over Svalbard…” “And how long did it take to make nearly that much money after the Republic took power?” “After the Civil war…” “When Norway became a fundamentally new nation. Young nations are good for business, and if we can take advantage of that, we may be able to get a new, solid foothold in a new country.” “Like mighty barnacle!” Komeil spat, jumping up from the bar, “We will make foot hold, and stay!” “I’ve heard worse ideas,” Hermansson said, looking up from the remaining nub of his cigarette. “And then wave mighty penis to impregnate nearby barnacle!” “You’re stretching the simile a bit,” Baggs muttered. “Smiley?” “I’ll call up the jet. Costa is already preparing our assets for transit.” “Alright then,” Heimdall said with the slightest tinge of resentment, “To a new life in Plymouth.” “To Plymouth,” The room replied, more as an affirmation of a necessary measure than an excited cheer for the new world. OOC: Bailing out a pile of characters from Norway
8. Other: In Game equals In Character, only when you have a proper nation, unless it is agreed upon by the involved parties, or if the non-national entity has the support of a nation.
9. This Topic is OOC So, I need numbers to fill in for my Parliamentary seats, but I'm lazy, and prefer having an actual vote to just writing numbers, so here it is. This works like my previous votes, where there are brackets for the percentage of the population each group of parties holds. Progressives win a majority right off the bat, so this is more for exact seat numbers than who wins. this is OOC in that these votes already happened in the timeline of my country (As shone by how I already have the winner) and in that governments will not be able to comment (As they wouldn't anyway as these would have gone on before my country technically declared existence). Below is a rough rundown of the parties ideals, and what they stand for. Federalist Party: States Rights "A government that only exists where states meet", Nationalism, Protectionism, Against government interference in peoples' lives (Minimal social welfare programs, but they do support labour regulations that help people)(Limited government roll in economy, in general) Progressive Party (With and Without Lemon): New Nationalism, Populism, "Protection of the people is protection of the nation" Somewhat protectionist (Trust busting, ensuring that companies serve the people, rather than executives), Pro social services Christian Conservative Party: Invested in the spread and maintenance of Christian ideals in Plymouth, Government should culture virtue, not interfere with the market or workplace, "A government without God is a Government doomed to hell" Green Party Noocratic Party Royalist Party (Doesn't get an explanation, I'll make something up if they get any seats) Sons of Tahoe Party: (A very racist party with Neo-Nazi-esque beliefs. Widely disliked in Plymouth, even by those who formerly lived in Tahoe and still support the now defunct government) Thanks for the help (And the chance to make me RP some things I might not love doing)!
10. Christian Coalition Calls for New Religious Focus by Government Hotly contesting recent plans by President Campbell to make Plymouth an entirely secular nation, the Plymouth Christians Coalition has called for a new, more religion oriented focus of the government. The Coalition, a fringe group with a membership of nearly 2000 individuals, staged a large protest in the capitol, with an estimated 300 members in active attendance. Among the issues raised by the PCC are a ban on abortion, a ban on homosexual marriage, and the implementation of Christian values in public schools. Raymond Smith, current head of the Coalition has stated in interviews that "The pilgrims that first landed on Plymouth were protestants, good, god-fearing people. We have founded our nation on the principles laid down when those first Christian steps were lain on our soil, but we refuse to recognize that the guiding force behind their actions was the love of God. To hold these settlers in high regard, but not embrace their values is as if we were to simple disregard our history entirely." PCC Protesters March through New Haven The government has remained absolute that the nation will stand by its principle that the doings of the government shall neither impede, nor support any religion, established or otherwise. "Plymouth is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion," Said President Campbell in a press release this Friday, "We are a nation founded on principles, and yes, some of those principles do overlay with those of Christianity. It is common knowledge that I am a Christian, and my beliefs, my morals, do often effect my decisions as president, however I would never use my position as a means to spread my faith, as such would be the penultimate disgrace to my faith. Christianity is a religion founded on tolerance, we were born of the Jewish faith, and expanded, changed under Jesus, who told us to do unto others as we would have done onto us. I would no sooner force my faith onto another person as I would beat or berate them. My faith is my own, and the faith of our citizens is their own. The government has no right to step into the fundamental right to freedom of religion, and so long as I remain president of this fine nation, I will not sit idly by if it begins to turn into a theocracy. A theocracy turns religion into a tool of oppression, and the Christian Coalition would want nothing more than to allow it to become so. I will not, and I believe I speak for the whole of the Parliament in this case, support any bill that will force a faith onto a people who do not wish it. A nation founded in the pursuit of freedom cannot make such a claim if it forces thoughts upon its people." Though relatively small in number, the PCC has brought new attention to the battle around the place of religion in Plymouth's government, an issue that has been present since our Declaration of Independence, and an issue that will likely remain pertinent far into the future.
11.
We are willing to work with Plymouth but we see no reason why their claim, shown above in yellow, should go east for the length of our entire coast effectively trying to box us in, and in which several islands which belong to Maine lie.
"We would be happy to discuss alterations to our Economic Exclusive zone, however we will not agree to follow your established waters. It is highly hypocritical, in our opinion, for you to voice disapproval of our waters coming within hundreds of miles of your shore, while your waters allow only an eight mile strait between our national waters and your EEZ." As I said, Plymouth is perfectly willing to discuss alterations, but we will not be pushed around by then likes of Maine."
12. "Plymouth welcomes this new nation to the world, however, until we can ensure that this new nation is more stable than their leader's name may suggest, we will not extend diplomatic recognition of the state."

15. Declaration of the Unification of the Plymouth Federation On this day, the Twenty Fourth of December, 20XX, I, Vincent Campbell, the duly elected first president of the Federation do proudly decree the formation of our great nation. Long ago, when the modern hardships of intercontinental political strife were in their infancy, a group of pilgrims, people escaping oppression under the British crown, landed on Plymouth Rock. Though we have since allowed the faith that founded this settlement to wane in relevance, the idea of freeing ourselves from the harshness of the outside world has remained strong. Now, as the world around us seems to grow ever more connected, ever more inclined to form alliances with other nations, nations that force them to abandon their ideals in favor of a cruel, twisted amalgamation that preaches the falsehood that ‘what is best for the government is best for the people.’ A falsehood if I have ever seen one! We of Plymouth are not willing to abandon our people to strengthen our government; we are a nation by our people, and for our people. We are a nation founded on brotherhood, and on sisterhood! Our ideals are our own, never to be abandoned in order to garner flimsy slips of paper that loosely bind another nation to our protection. A nation that abandons the will of its people for the thought of safety is one that has no right to serve the people that prop it up. I stand before you a man who has grown from nothingness. I was born a farm boy in Tahoe, poor as the dirt I tilled to help my family eat. My hands have seen the end of a hoe, and by god, my hands have seen the butt of a rifle. I fought overseas in Pacific Star, as did my brothers, Ray and Sam. I was the only one to walk out, the only one to walk back to my parents who had seen more hardships than I had. They had their farm taken to build a prison. The farm we had worked for generations was stolen by the government, a government that was so worried about the outside world that it took to robbing its people. In these times, we need a government that will fight for its people, not fight the world! We need a country that will take the will of its people as the prime issue, not a petty injunction to be pushed to the wayside until it is convenient. We need a nation built for its people! We need Plymouth! Today we unify. We draw together our people in order to create a new state, a new Federation. We start on the ground, but we shall rise up; we shall rise as a paragon of stability, a nation to serve its people, not serve the world around it. We are one of but a few lights in the darkness of the world. We stand together as one united people. The united people of the Plymouth Federation! I, Vincent Campbell, do solemnly swear that I will dedicate all my strength and the best of my abilities for the spiritual and material welfare of the Plymouthian people, to abide by the Constitution and laws of the country, to defend the Federation, the fundamental rights and freedoms of my fellow citizens, Plymouth's sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity. So help me God! The States That have Signed to Join the Federation As the speech drew to a close, the president walked into his newly build office in New Haven, Connecticut, allowing another government official to take any questions. OOC: Rerollin' . Need a change of pace from Norway.
