fireguy15207
Congrats Fark! I'm surprised you could hold elections with how busy you've been backpedaling.
The Free Dictionary defines backpedaling as, "To retreat or withdraw from a position or attitude." Can you please share this supposed instance in which we've backpedaled in the month of November (keeping in mind to not lie to me, I was on Council during November)? kriekfreak
Yeah I don't think it's backpedaling either. Just contemplating about entering, for several weeks and then deciding to join when the war is over. Close right?

chewy milk
I think I can address that. I was in gov in october and I made it a point to bicycle into work backwards. Theres this hot dog stand vendor outside that I've been trying to impress and I didnt really have any other ideas. Normally I'd just go talk to her, maybe buy a hotdog. But she's different. I dont know what it is but I just freeze up. Anyway I was hoping she'd seeme pedaling backwards and she'd strike up a conversation. I did that all month without any response. In hindsight, if i saw someone doing that once or twice i'd be like hey thats pretty cool, but if that same guy did it every day on his commute to and from work i'd probably just say oh thats just bob, doin his morning thing. I should have changed my game up. Course, i didn't realize that at the time. I was smitten. You dont think things through in those situations. Anyway I eventually my time in gov ran up, but the damage, as I can now see, was done. Everyone assumes its just fark, doin our thing. So sorry guys. Oh and as it turns out that hot dog vendor's family was killed in a horrible backwards pedaling bicycle accident so thats why she didnt really respond to my courtship techniques. It was tragic. Contemplating means we didn't take a definite position; and then deciding to enter when the war is over, well, that just speaks for itself. We cannot enter a war that no longer is ongoing. Regardless, I don't remember that decision being made. Edited December 1, 2011 by fireguy15207

Looks like Fark's government members belong to the AMI, which has a chapter on Planet Bob. May your fabulous coifs serve you well in your term. You took so long deciding whether or not to protect your allies that when you actually decided not to come to our (your allies) aid, the war was as good as over. Hence your 2 day involvement in it. Now we have talked it out with parts of the former and the new gov, so it has been cleared up but you did pretty much screwed over multiple allies in that. Jaromayo
Meh, more than half our jokes are terrible, but Fark isn't completely based on 5 year old internet memes. Most of the jokes we make are of our own creation. They're organic, juvenile, mostly stupid, and rarely funny except in the "you should have been there" way. That's our culture, and it's pretty super.
