Will look for others at a later time. Will be interesting to see how this list changes, yourself, Stewie, ALFER and a few other NGers will surely be on the rise, with more to enter the list as well, although ALFER will have to work hard to overtake Nashhorn or DFA82. On the other side of the conflict there are few people with high casualties (and none in the top 50 so far as I can tell), however TTK's King Irwin is currently rank 118, having gained more than 1.2 million casualties in less than 1 round of war, with still a decent amount of infra and certainly enough cash to stay at a relatively high level for some time he may become the first member of my alliance to reach the top 50 in modern times.

I'm rather upset that the 1v1 callout thread got far more attention than the actual DoW, doesn't that sort of disprove the old idiom; "actions speak louder than words"?

Thank you for posting a DoW. (The worst part of this comment is that it is actually serious thank you, and not complete sarcasm.)

Interested on getting opinions on what this war should be called. Personally not of the fan of the current "official" name; "Maroon Dominance War", which I find both less interesting than other names, and see as something no one on my side of the conflict would actually use. What I see as the merits of each option: Holy S*** War; names for the alliances hit in the initial DoW (GOD and CRAP) really like it, but unfortunately has to be censored in some contexts, which makes it worse to work with. One Big Angry Family War; like this one as well, based on the recently cancelled "One Big Happy Family Accords", has the abbreviation that (IMO) works best: OBAF War. If you like it but would prefer another word to "angry" with something else. Maroon Dominance War; already mentioned why I am not a fan, also the logical abbreviation is; "MD War", which sounds like it is referring to treaties, which would be misleading. Maroonity War; sounds cooler than the above option, but not many other merits IMO Chestnut-M3D War; descriptive and to the point, biggest issue is if people say CA(Chestnut Accords)-M3D War, many will think of Confederatio Aesir. Happy to add other options if people like them.

Yes they can: Before he posted that there were 14 comments (myself, Mandystalin and IIRC someone else had posted), after there were 12 (so 3 were deleted). To be clear we aren't actually serious about that part of the DoW, just happened Steve did that the day before we were going to declare so we decided to make a joke of it. But yeah, we did have an NAP for 3 years, and a wish you guys didn't have to throw it away, but it's not as if people aren't pleased to be fighting again. Thanks for being more civil than most of your alliance mates about the whole thing. Thanks to friends and allies for the well wishes.

I have largely avoided responding thus far, both due to busyness and lack of real things to say, however to clear up one or two points: Essentially this. If an alliance under attack feels its treaty partners aren't honouring their obligations then it is on them, not the peanut gallery, to do something about it. Though as a matter of fact I have communicated quite a bit with CRAP, everything is fine between us. Interestingly such appeals to "doing the right thing" and "morality" don't happen in other cases, for example no one really said anything when TTK, Legion and SUN sat out of the "For Steve" War, likewise the people now complaining about inaction did not do so when ODN did not defend STA, FTW did not defend NEW, NSO did not defend Kashmir (or at least I can't really remember them). However there were complaints from certain people when DK did not defend Kashmir, which makes me think that the reality isn't that people are upset by alliance not honouring treaties, but that they're annoyed when the intended target of the war does not enter. This is a completely reasonable statement, except for the fact that we have used mass PM, when an alliance on your side of the conflict has PM'd a much larger proportion than we have or intend to. No one in TTK is under any delusion that this war won't reach us, and yes we know the world is dying, which is honestly why this was put out as anything but a joke announcement; if most people don't really care anymore (I know you certainly don't) why not do something stupid like a 1v1? Engrish?
