  1. If Pax Corvus had been more involved within the treaty web this event perhaps would not have happened although considering the recent raid on Polar that can be disputed. I am not grandstanding, hollering or whatever it is you think I am doing. The simple fact of the matter is if you declare yourself neutral and create no binding defence treaties with any other alliances then an alliance possessing the culture found within DBDC is inevitably going to raid you.Every other alliance knows this and has either implemented or is still seeking to implement a plan of action or diplomatic policy which will remedy this. If being neutral provides no defence against being raided then surely the members of these neutral alliances must question the whole point of being neutral in the first place because the primary reason for most people to even be within an alliance is for protection and security.
  2. A declaration of neutrality is no defence so why be neutral at all?
  3. Hopefully this will show the neutrals the error of their ways and encourage them to become more involved with the diplomatic landscape.
  4. I get the feeling that call is never going to happen.
  5. Cracked, darklink from sparta got me hooked on it years ago.
  6. This is terrible, certain alliances have been using multis as tech farms for months if not years. This change will only increase this abuse of ingame mechanics.
  7. Are you attempting to somehow use a scientific method to somehow prove something is correct in a political simulator where diplomacy is usually solely based around a few members in gov liking a few members of gov from another alliance? Please, by all means, carry on.
  8. Issue with this is that most of the established AAs have established governments that rarely see much change in their composition. This is what is directly leading to all the micros and protectorates with ambitious members being unable to progress in a larger alliance and therefore attempting to establish their own alliances. Even though I am in a democratic alliance it is my opinion that the model used by NPO where there can be (or used to be anyway) multiple IOs and department heads per department to be the superior government system as it rewards members with talent by promoting them to a position they deserve. This differs from most other alliances where promotions are a result of a higher position becoming vacant or the wining of an election. I think that pre karma NPO had something like 5 or more FAIOs at one time although someone will probably correct me on that. The issue is that a substantial amount of larger AAs have a relatively unchanging leadership leading to a stagnant FA situation leading to ambitious members attempting to form their own AAs which just become conflicts by proxy (cold war style) for the larger AAs and therefore only leading to further stagnation of the entire web. Heck, for the last few years we have had nearly the same war over and over again with the same people fighting the same people with discussions led by the same people. Over and over. No wonder the game is dying.
  9. Been here since 06 and I was a previous member. So umm yeah.
  10. People stay in this game for a sense of community. Protectorates and micros with a few active players created solely because someone couldn't get a gov position and instead made an alliance to satisfy their own ego rarely offer a sense of community therefore members become inactive and die.
  11. The current state of the game is a direct result of the plague of micros, protectorates and inactive AAs stagnating the whole treaty web. Get rid of them.
  12. I would support the return of this former NPO. If they decided to eradicate this plague of lulz diplomacy and plagues of micros and protectorates stagnating the entire treaty web and this realm in general I would support that too. I was on an EZI list once upon a time and in hindsight after losing a good dozen nations to them I can truthfully say it was the most fun I ever had going from conflict to conflict taking them on every chance I could. I could have done what a few others did and bent the knee or disbanded but where would be the fun in that? Like Tony said So yeah, bring back the old NPO please.
  13. Nobody is making topics which even come close to PC's retirement topic from GGA
  14. I don't think anyone will deny in both TOP and NpO after the treaty was signed that there were large elements within the memberships of both alliances that were slightly hesitant about each other. However these issues became things of the past in a short time and I guess we have NG to thank for it. Thank you NG :)
  15. Congratulations. Always a good thing to see old grudges becoming the basis of beneficial friendships.
  16. Pretty much this. Far as my memory goes starfox was one if not the principal founders of Vox. As far as I remember Tywin only started fighting NPO after it became cool which was months or even years after Starfox was attacked on a constant basis and other players like myself went from AA to AA helping them whenever NPO attacked them which started occurring quite regularly post GWIII.
