  3. Holy cow, 8 years? That's quite a feat many alliances don't have! Congratulations, IRON!
  4. Is the government position, God, still available? If so, where do I sign up?
  5. I'm also okay with this too. I'm pleased to see those two fine alliances banding together.
  6. Cynic, message me via forum privately and we'll discuss about what kind of a flag are you looking for. :)
  7. I hate being a tech buyer; that's basically the only reason why I am a tech seller for all eternity.
  8. We are pleased that Rey the Great has chosen to continue his career as a Doom Squad member. He is a consummate professional whose love and respect for the game provide a tremendous example for all players. Rey the Great has been a very productive player throughout his career and we look forward to his future contributions to our team and community.
  9. 12k tech for the last three years? On an average of 4k tech a year? Good god, if you're importing tech furiously at that rate then you must be getting ripped off by your own tech sellers. Had you maximize your tech importation, you would've been importing 21,600 tech in the first two years and 21,600 tech in the third year (due to increased aid slot capacity). Reduce those numbers by 50% if you were doing tech deals at a rate of 3 million and 50 tech or 6 million and 100 tech rate and you'd have more tech than what you have for the last three years.
  10. Watch out guys, he's the next Ray Lewis.
  11. Good Hime Themis, 'Exploiting' is such a terrible verb because it's not always a positive connotation and it can be a negative connotation too. Technically, words that invoke strong connotations diminish the ability to make a neutral point of view, as I believe you were attempting to make. Anyway, the word, exploit, is often used in a negative way and can be often misunderstood by both parties. I would say Doombird Doomcave is harnessing on the use of raiding to expand, instead of saying Doombird Doomcave is exploiting on the use of raiding to expand. See the differences between those two, in terms of tone? Respectfully, Lord Hershey OOC: I'm not an English major so please let me know if I'm completely wrong on this one. I have been striving to learn all aspects of English since it's not my first language, for your information.
  12. He's got a point, perhaps purpose a "peace" penalty for nations that have not fought more than 10-15 days, depending on how long a round is. The longer you avoid from warring, the weaker your economic income becomes. After all, TE is meant to be a fighting round, not a round where people avoid from fighting.
  13. That would be a good idea since it would save everybody a substantial amount of time scurrying for answers. It's time to cut the middle man in this case.
  14. The idea behind removing all neutral alliances from top 250 is a solid idea since they are not participating in wars due to their political beliefs; however, I see some unfeasibility involved with that since there are potential loopholes involved, so I can't see that happening. Though, extending the war range will give more viable targets and by that extension, it will absolutely benefit everybody equally. Not just to DBDC. Extending may make things easier for DBDC in terms of raiding but it will make things easier for people to take down DBDC as well. Again, let's not talk game suggestions in this thread because the main point of this discussion is, as pointed out by the OP, is how do people feel about the way DBDC is operating and how DBDC is a successful alliance because of its operating. That's politics (yes, war is also one of political instruments in this game), not mechanics as some people claimed it to be. Is DBDC moralistic? That's debatable because the definition of moralism is very opinionated and not factual.
  15. There is nothing wrong with the game mechanics, it's that many people weren't willing to fight back and would rather peace out. And because of that, DBDC is basically a product for that very specific reason. To be frank, I'm surprised many people, at least in the high tier, have not tried this practice. :psyduck: And for Chairman Hal, I'm afraid that my nation is too small to meet DBDC's requirements for joining DBDC but hey, at least I met only one of four or five requirements for becoming a member of DBDC. Again, while I find CubaQuerida's NS to be amazing, it's still not impossible to pull such a feat like that. OOC, of course, that would be one helluva of a war between Cuba and Hime if that were to happen.
  16. TBRaiders is correct. Bed Intruder, it's not impossible for people to become number one. CubaQuerida earnestly secured his number 1 position where as many, many people once thought the number 1 would always been Hime Themis's and that it would be impossible to pass Themis in ranking. CubaQuerida shattered that thought by proving to the world that the number 1 is possible for anybody. In case if you don't know, CubaQuerida is only 1,801 days old while the rest of top 10 are ranging somewhere in between 1,600 days and 2,700 days. You just gotta carve the path for yourself and earn it.
  17. Why are you advertising yourself, smurthwaite? What are pros and cons of yourself?
  18. No worries, I'm a benevolent dictator, Max Power.
  19. If you didn't take a cup of coffee this morning, you're doomed for the rest of your day.
