  1. Do you literally think our opponents haven't had terrible warchests?

Yeah, that's exactly what I said. There are lots of people on both sides that have terrible warchests, it just so happens that I have funny logs about two guys in MK, and this blog is about MK.

We could go through and pick out a multitude of nations against us with no warchest. The difference is (apart from us having a higher percentage of adequate warchests) that we actually have the aid to fund these wars. And the capacity to rebuild.

The GGA Defense, excellent. I was relaying some humorous examples; I did not say that everyone in MK has a horrible warchest, or that MK are terrible in general, or that if TOP will send you money forever instead of buying tech that you can't fight forever. But seriously, what point do you (apparently now) and GOONS mean to make with this aid thing? It's not remarkable, any alliance can fight as long as money is being dumped all over them, it doesn't make you special. TPF was asking GOONS to dump aid on them in the Unjust War, all it meant was that they were unprepared and GOONS told them to take a hike. Chillllllllllllll

  2. There have been some funny examples of MK WCs:

    [01:02] <Mia> Hmmmm...

[01:03] <Mia> MK govt with only $18,000 left XD

    [01:03] <Mia> *member

    [01:03] <Mia> Yes

[01:03] <Schattenmann> yeah they've [MK] been making fun of him whole war

    [01:03] <Qaianna> Ouch.

    And...

    [01:03] <SyndicatedINC[Avalon_MoFA]> Chickenzilla has $2.91

    [01:03] <SyndicatedINC[Avalon_MoFA]> total

[01:03] <Mia> I am not sure how much he attacked me with..

[01:03] <bakamitai> lol that's less than a cup of coffee

Good people, I ask you: what good is infrastructure if you can't enjoy a cup of coffee?!

  3. My point wasn't that I was closing off communications. My point was that you owe several people an apology, and when you realize that, come find me.

IF you think that I owe you an apology for anything you can come get it from me in hell on the coldest day.

Why is it that people I'm friends with always wind up hating each other?

I think know you both well enough to say definitively that this is one of those times where textual communication on the internet exposes its flaws. These blogs blur the line a great deal, I have no idea why people use them. In any case this sounds to me like a total miscommunication of intent. Breathe in, step back, breathe out, make amends and move on.

On a personal note I had the lovely Lea Salonga and Ruthie Henshall belting out "I Still Believe" as I read this. Appreciate the humour!

I don't hate anyone. Maybe I misread and overreacted to "go to hell Schattenmann and you can burn" I guess I expect better from people I've spent so much time with. Looks like Zog's repetition of it let me know I miscalculated.

  4. Words in someone's mouth - It's one thing to paraphrase someone's words to get at their true meaning, but it's entirely another thing to add any sort of emotion or "flavour text" to it.

This one kills me. It happens to pretty much every post I write.

Anyway, I think this blog is good, but it would be super if it wasn't coming from a high-profile member of an alliance whose idea of how to solve problems is to make people grovel before them for their entertainment.

Be sure to remove this blog post if people start making valid rebuttals, Ktarts.

Were you being ironic on purpose, or did you just not read the blog?

  5. Come find me when you decide to grow up.

Cheyenne, I read this, then I opened my logs. I spoke to you 7 times in 2009. I spoke to you 6 times in 2010, and went in #gondor twice. I've spoken to you twice in 2011.

What I'm saying here is, I think you know I'm not looking for you, so please don't presume to dangle contact with you on a stick like it's something I'm dying to have. Not because I dislike you (I don't dislike you) but simply because we went separate ways--we run in different circles, we've got different ideas about things. And you know what, I never told you to go to hell because I disagree with you. Rather, when we did have a disagreement last week, I said something snarky (and dumb), and instead of losing your mind, you queried me and told me why I was wrong (like a person in control of his emotions).

I did not ask for any sympathy in this blog. It's right up top, you can all read it for yourselves (again). I removed a blog and rather than have people thinking I got rid of it to hide the replies, I explained what happened. If you think Zog is entitled to his emotional response, but not me, go for it. Have a field day with that, it doesn't make any difference to me because we already know that what people consider acceptable is largely based on who their friends are and what flag they fly. Anyone that argues that I'm trying to create some emo lovefest to my benefit doesn't know me; I've never played a sympathetic character.

Because I have apparently incited rage in the hearts of some people, I went on to explain why I'm where I am for all of them. I didn't say anything about the other 10 people in this blog, Cheyenne/New Frontier, that's all you. I signed that document in defense of Polaris at the height of their unpopularity because I felt it to be true, and regardless of the way I feel about NPO's past, I am where I am today beside NPO despite their past and unpopularity because my name is still on that document and that document is still a revelation to CN, and it is still the guiding philosophy behind my actions. And if people are mad enough to tell me to go to hell and burn over what I'm doing, I think they should know why I'm doing it.

  6. being non-political, i have NO way of distinguishing in-game between random rogue attacks and alliance-wide actions. with hundreds of alliances out there, i'm not going to sift thru every in-game war declaration and 'imagine' an alliance declaration of war on a given date.

hence, only an official announcement in the alliance announcements forum can be charted. the direction and colour of the arrow indicate the alliance doing the announcing and the date of the announcement. this issue had already been debated and hashed out between the various war-charters over a month ago (when FAN jumped in on NPO). the fact that you bring it up this week, long after that discussion, appeared to be trollish behaviour.

if you actually had honest intentions, then i apologize for my snarky response. however, it's my chart, and barring an actual error, thus it stands.

You are participating in politics; therefore, you and your war web are politicized, but if you're going to play non-partisan Government Accountability Office, then do it well. The definitive resource understands and notes that CoJ did not declare war on MK: http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/Doom_House-NPO_War#Other_Related Furthermore, your claim that you have no way of distinguishing between the two is nothing more than laziness on your part, there is an entire thread full of MK and Umbrella gov stating that there attacks on alliances that declared war on GOONS were not rogues and that they initiated hostilities against those alliance, including CoJ: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=98200

"Your chart" contains errors and they should be corrected if you want to be some archon of knowledge.

  7. Had this playing while i drove into town... Schatt should talk more, has a voice made for radio.

Being a guest is kind of intimidating, you don't want to like come off as stealign the show or something, and with 4 men there's a certain amount of talking over each other and trying to get a word in edgewise when it's a general show like this, whereas like last show Random is a guest specifically to come talk about Polaris and answer lots of questions directed to him. It's a lot of fun either way. I was leeching wifi from like 1/4 mile away when I was in Vox so while Sponge and Doitzel got to hang out on CN Radio I didn't have the resources to support a Skype call, so I'm really grateful to CN Talkshow for having me on when they need a short-notice guy. And I hope amongst my hammy jabs I manage to say something interesting, but it's definitely a lot different than hopping on the OWF where you plan out what you're going to say and can go edit it if you're wrong or say the wrong thing.

I definitely think if you've got soemthing to say, send the guys a note and make your case, and get on the show if they think it's worth it. I'd love to hear fom someone in RoK next week, it woudl be cool to hear from UPN. The Cortath show was excellent, the show the week before that was great even if I hit the ceiling over it :P The whole show is a really good setup, Airme is a great moderator with a lot of insight into a lot of personalities, Stormsend is a really good voice for MK and his sense of humor is probably the best in CN, and Hawk's down-to-earth and good-humored representation of NPO and more conservative CN is really excellent, and I Think anyone that goes on is going to get a fair shake and the dynamic creates a good platform to get the most out of guests.
