Now, I have this here paper that you could sign that says different...you sign first, maybe get up there on the stand and say so, perhaps this goes away for you.

    While this announcement is rather definitive, I cannot help but speculate about the potential consequences should you opt to run for leadership of the Misfits. After all, I talked the intern into making this graphic, and I'm at a loss to see how else it could be used.

    It was touch-and-go for a little bit; when 6pm rolled around, leaving the tech a mere six hours from being marginally late, I was beginning to get worried that we might be forced into creating a pointless OWF thread about it. Thankfully cooler heads prevailed, and the pointless OWF thread can be of a celebratory nature instead.

    The person who wins most infra will almost invariably win most soldiers, likely wins a spot in the top three, and probably wins most money spent (given that no one ever finishes a round with money in the bank, it might as well be 'most collected'). All four favour someone who builds well but stays as far away from war as is humanly possible, so I agree...not loving the structure at all.

    Yeah, I'm not married to that means of judging it, but I couldn't think of any other easily-coded (and relatively easy to track, for players) overall metric.

    I'd like to see an overall award for the player placing highest in a combination of the three factors: destruction, NS and casualties. Base it on their nation ranking in each category, with the lowest score winning...thus, someone finishing 2nd in destruction, 3rd in casualties and 12th in NS would have a score of 17 and finish above someone finishing 1st in NS, 10th in destruction and 10th in casualties, with a score of 21.

    Adding a name that most people probably don't remember/didn't know in the first place: h0rdes. Best flag-runner PS had (by far) back in the day, and the best runner-hunter for that matter.

    Mostly, it's a term invented by a particular windbag to describe anyone that he (generally incorrectly) conceives to be opposed to the people he writes in support of. Thus, the word largely serves as a handy means of determining whether you can skip the remainder of the post in which it is found.

    I agree, but unfortunately even a massive offsite group would be confronted with "congrats! Only two years of building and you'll be a force to be...well, considered at the least!", which makes it a little challenging to keep new people involved.

    Good people leave. Good people come in. These things are easier to judge when there are only two people in an alliance that are worth a damn and I can make snap judgments.
