1. Could the signatories could have been a bit more creative and chosen a period deviating from the standard 3 nycthemeron in the cancellation period? But in any case, congratulations on the treaty.
2. All your antics will be missed. May Allarchon bring you all peace.
3. May Allarchon have mercy on your souls because Mushqaeda will not.
4. You guys should rename to "Matt Damon Alliance". IT'S NOT TOO LATE!
5. SHOULDA KEPT THE SANCTION ON HoT, MK. ~BaD mOVe~
6. He said you're outnumbered 3 to 1, not that the odds are 3 to 1.
7. Hahahahahaha the whiny tattle-tale kid complains about how no body likes him, then reveals the contents of the pretty girl's diary. Wow, can't you at least pretend that you give a rat's ass about what people think about you before circuitously asking for acknowledgement? Not helping your case at all, dude.
8. Not as much as a bug/issue as much as a complaint/query: Justy's Bar was deleted. Was this done by accident or on purpose? Was it just too large? I feel that it's an important part of the Cybernations community infrastructure and its absence makes the Water Cooler feel oddly empty. Thanks for the mods' times.
9. Why isn't there any body in the chair? Is he talking to the chair? Why is he talking to the chair? There's a guy in the chair? Who's in the chair? Is it NPO in the chair? WHY DOESN'T HE JUST SAY IT'S NPO IN THE CHAIR? STOP. THIS. IS. PAINFUL.
10.
Not to mention jealous. Have fun.
I TOLD YOU ABOUT THE WAR, I WARNED YOU DAWG. YOU COULD HAVE STOPPED THIS. YOU COULD HAVE CHANGED IT.
11.
Well at least they put someone decent in Education
d'hohohoho. Congrats, us!
12.
failing that they should be loudly abused in IRC.
I am habituated to this and as such would even expect it even if I were not accused. Therefore, I accept your charges, Mr. Tidy Bowl Man and shall plead guilty. I am how ever, still opposed to the punishment of being erased from the playing board as I do not believe such an infraction warrants such punishment. In addition to that, I would also like to bring charges against Mr. TBM for insulting me indirectly, thus causing harm to my honour. I propose that the harm to my and my nation's honour shall be redeemed if TBM is made to write a haiku that describes the natural wonders of Scotland favourably as punishment.
13. The Scotia Oil navy sat in the middle of the North Sea, barely manned. Its fate waiting for decision. Meanwhile onboard one of the English carriers -the men weren't sure which- hope soon gave way to despair. "Don't you think that they'll just end up occupying Scotland? Maybe we won't get off as easy as we thought." "Don't be ridiculous, Officer." "You can't tell me what to think any more Captain." "SHUT UP JUST BECAUSE WE'RE CAPTURED DOESN'T-" "$%&@" "DAMN IT." The sailors were mostly well behaved, but any guard could tell that they blamed each other just as much as they blamed the enemy. Fights often broke out over provisions and the nerves of all the captured were strained from seeing their comrades die and sink to the sea. They did not want that to happen to them. What else could they hope for? OOC: I have seen your post about the rig but I plan to go in to a bit more detail than just responding to your demands, so I'll refrain for today. Sorry.
14. Again the First Fleet faced a barrage of missiles. This time though the strategy chaged. The surviving ships decided the fleet was to accept their fate and hope for the best in a surrender. By moving towards the wreckages of ships, active vessels managed to rescue some survivors from the last barrage. Engines were turned off and missiles hit the hulls of ships that stood lazily in the water. Missiles were launched in defence but this time the crew had an inkling in regards to which dots on their radars were fake and which ones were threats. Another Corvette was unlucky enough to be completely annihilated, killing most on board. Further targetted by missiles, the Frigate and Destroyer on fire valiantly decided to take the hits and instead use their remaining defence missiles to screen for their comrades before scrambling on to life boats. Both would sink after a single missile was fired horizontally in the air towards the English fleet, not targetting any thing in particular. The white flag of surrender had been raised on all surviving ships and the Scotians waited for their fate. It was now hoped that they would be treated as combatants for the Republic of Scotia but there were never any guarantees when you fought for a company in place of a nation. Far away, a single missile flew towards Sutherland. "Damn, they surrendered, didn't they? We can hold out as long as we can here. Let's hope that all they want is money..." McGregor fumbled with the radio while listening. Suddenly, he thought of an idea. "Hey... Boss... What if, we went a pidgeon?" "Don't be ridiculous McGregor." "I'm serious. There's a scientist who maintains the greenhouse here who has a carrier pidgeon. He used to use it to communicate with his wife in Edinburgh while in Aberdeen. What if we went a message to Sinclair or at least asked for one back from him?" Sutherland opened his eyes wide. There was harm in trying. Who would notice a little bird any way? Perhaps it would take a few days, but they were in no rush. Soon enough, the pidgeon was off. To where, who knows. Hopefully it would come back, though. OOC: You've only mentioned marines heading towards my islands, never them actually landing. I'll respond to your ground movements tomorrow, perhaps after you clarify that little point. Actually no it already is tomorrow, alright then just, later on in the day.
15. I'm sorry for that but I didn't appreciate you talking as if we were best friends while calling me stupid behind my back. :/ I understand the situation better now and I promise to not take what you've said to me and turn it against you, but I wouldn't be surprised if others have already done the same to me. Perhaps it is too late now but I'd ask for your forgiveness. Okay so I get to RP damages. I've already insinuated that my network's out of order. Hm, great. Maybe Sinclair can think of some thing. Walkie-talkies are a great idea, though. Thanks for the tips guys.
16. Woah. So I am to rewrite another post and have no means of getting my military communications back after having them knocked out by what amounts to a single dice roll. Great. This war was over once Zoot won that spy roll. Guess I'll just surrender? Oh wait no that's literally impossible to RP since pretty much any thing that can allow me to communicate within my nation quickly is out of order and the border is guarded by giant robot soldiers (okay it's not canon, but still). Zoot, I'm quite willing to end this war and give you what you want, what ever it is, after learning this new information. If only we could figure out a way to do it. Not even being ironic here. I have to disagree with the GM's logic. I'm not sure if this has ever happened before but I'll present my view. Actually, before deciding on what I would use my rolls on, this came up in my mind. If Zoot's rolls were to fail, could he roll again for the same things? In fact, he kind of has. Using two rolls on the same action and only dedicating the second roll to some thing else in the event that the first one fails, as well as using two rolls to do essentially two of the same thing, one being a more specific subset of the other. If Zoot can simply re-try the same actions over and over, wouldn't that mean that his chances of success get closer and closer to 1 the more he rolls? So he wants to disable my networks, just keep rolling and rolling for that until he gets a hit, then move on to the next action. This means that I legitimately no chance to undo the damage and restore fighting capacity if I simply rely on the fact that his rolls will fail. Surely the GMs wouldn't let some quirk like this dictate the outcome of wars, so I reasoned that as long as a spy roll could be deemed sufficiently offensive, even if the action was counter-intelligence, that it would be acceptable. I get that you don't want to keep doing rolls for people who simply want to counter each other's actions, as that would be kind of boring for both the GMs and reducing war to basically luck, but can I get a good explanation in-game-esque explanation of why I can't attempt to clean out viruses from an infected system? I'm honestly curious. The logic truly escapes me, here. Once they're in, they're in for ever? I'm also quite sour in regards to the fact that I've been called dim-witted. I'm so very sorry that I can't be as active and experienced as the rest of this wonderful cast of RPers and I will try better in the future to pay attention and respond. But I honestly don't know if starting a war over resources that honestly have no bearing on in-game power and could have been negotiated for is the best idea OOC. The whole thing reeks of opportunism, to me. Also I think I will have to betray a bit of TBM's trust and go ahead and say that he has mentioned to me over IRC that he's been meaning to quit CNRP. I am not dim-witted, dude. Just a bit absent-minded and I'm actually sorry for it. I will be editing my most recent reply to Zoot's naval actions now.
