  1. I don't like to engage in terms for a friendly war, mainly because it's just a headache to deal with if someone from either side breaks them. Despite that, when presented with terms, we will almost always agree, and do our part to get the word out to our guys to follow them. Eurasia was great in that they didn't assume that we wouldn't do those ops, but rather stated very clearly what they'd prefer to take off the table, and without waiting for our answer, led by example, and took it on faith that we'd do the same. As Bundy stated, most of our members were sitting on long backcollects, so they could've wreaked havoc on those possible collections by way of econ ops and blockades, but they chose not to do that. And not only that, they went out of their way to uphold their terms, each member dedicated to keeping their word. I'm also 99% sure I got the best rolling I've gotten...ever. Thank you Eurasia. You have my respect. It certainly was a pleasure. o/
  2. You boys have enough threads where you bicker. This one is for sarcasm, gifs, humor and a touch of good 'ole yo mama jokes. Here, I'll start. This one never gets old: RIP my infra
  3. I forgot to mention that we accept your terms for a friendly war. I put up an announcement telling my folks to steer clear of those ops and blockades as well.
  4. NLoN is one of the oldest AA's still running in TE. They actually might be ran by the longest constant serving gov members in TE. They have tons of experience. They don't apply it. And considering the quoted statements from their members below, I would say it's in NDO's and RE's best interests to hit them hard now, so they don't have to worry about them taking pot shots at them later.
  5. This situation happens to me just about every round I've been in War Doves. Their guy raids a member of WD, we counter to protect our member, and then NLoN gov counters our counter. And in the rounds that NLoN is bigger than WD, they are particularly nasty throwing around the same threats that they'll declare all out war if we don't let them raid our members. They basically have this attitude that if an AA is smaller than them, they can basically do whatever they want and expect to get away with it. At least you got a warning email. Usually I'm just met with war declarations, and ignored by their gov when I message them.
  6. I really don't want to get involved, since all of this is none of my business, and the last thing I want is to appear as if I want to run either of your alliances. But since this is now the 4th thread about the same war that still isn't peaced out yet, would both AA's be open to having me (or some other non-biased 3rd party) mediate peace talks? I know all the leadership involved, I haven't taken sides, and it seems both sides do want to see an end to this conflict. Either way, just thought I'd offer. Cash me on Discord or PM me, howbow dah?
  7. I eagerly await the WD DoE, as well as the newest chapter in Kurdanak's collection failures on tax day. This gif is pure awesome
  8. I was hoping someone would pick up on my sarcasm I know you're being sarcastic, but I honestly would like to know the answer to this one. Some people have done some really shady !@#$ in TE, and I haven't seen someone sandbag someone like what's been going on with RR. From what I hear, he's not the only one who's been targeted like this. TE's numbers are low enough without these attempts to run folks out of the game.
  9. It's definitely not instant, however, the bonuses can appear within a couple minutes. It all depends on how you pay, and how quickly the payment clears. According to the terms and conditions, a bonus can be applied up to 24 hours after the payment clears. You'll get a message in your inbox when the bonuses have been applied.
  10. Ask and ye shall receive! Thanks for the kind words and warm welcome guys. It means a lot.
  11. I've experienced this issue several times. Unfortunately, at this point, his only option is to decom his faulty SDI and buy a new one. Oh, me too! Praise Norma RoadRash! Sorry, I've been rewatching OITNB in preparation for the upcoming season. :v Ankle biters unite!
  12. The mechanics changed, eviljak. You can still be defeat alerted after a nuke. I asked the same question last war.
  13. This argument will never end. I stand by that incite gov prop is a strategic op because of the reasons you mentioned. If you're not nuclear, and your opponents are, it's an even more important op to run if you manage to overwhelm their ground forces and anarchy them to stop their offensive. Destroy money? If your cash reserves are so low that one of these ops makes the difference between turtling and not, then why shouldn't your opponents use it? Should we not nuke people who don't have warchests either simply because they'll have a hard time rebuilding? Of course not. Same goes for irs and religion. Blockades and naval attacks are the only ways to gain naval XP, and even if you don't have a superior navy in place, you can buy the navy improvements prewar and raid them off later, or find opponents also lacking in navy to pass your blockades off. Or you know, just sell down your land if you don't want to be hit with blockades. I don't see the big deal here. My point is, all these ops serve a strategic purpose (that's why they're in there in the first place), and taking some off the table is hypocritical, and sets us all up for this endless argument. Even if you set terms of what spyops to do or not do, there's almost always a breakdown in communications - somebody doesn't see a message, an announcement goes unread, and before you know it, we're back at it again arguing over this. Who needs that kind of stress in their life??
  14. Well, when this was suggested, it was meant as a one round thing, not meant to replace alliances indefinitely. I could see petitioning admin to do a shorter round to accommodate it, and perhaps alter the round prizes. Just me personally, whenever I think of TE, I instantly yearn to play with people I've played with for years like Kurdanak and Belisarius. However, there are a few people who I somehow always ended up on the opposing side of in TE, but have much respect for like DevilDog and Warhammer. If I were a captain, of course I'd choose people I knew and enjoyed playing with, but I'd also choose people I could depend on to give me a proper challenge. I would think the captain only willing to choose their friends would find themselves at a disadvantage than those who would base their picks on skill, availability and dedication to coordination. As for spying, you're probably correct. I had forgotten that spying had become so common in TE. Sabotaging your own team so that another could win wasn't something that I considered might happen.
  15. I forget who had the idea, and I'm too lazy to look it up, but someone had the idea of a fantasy TE league. Essentially at least 4 captains and we do like you said, a school yard pick. Maybe have the teams be of 12 members each, enough for 2 trade circles. Maybe do drafts mid-round to kind of keep things interesting. What I liked about the idea, was being able to war alongside and against new people. Could be a fun experience, and might entice some of the retired TE players (like me) to reactivate.
  16. I agree. Interceptor Missile System (IMS) - $50,000,000 - Thwarts Cruise Missile Attacks, 50% of the time (removes 1 attackers CM strike chance for that day when successful). Requires 5,000 technology and a Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI). I've always read this as it removes a CM attack slot when a cruise missile is successful, similar to how SDI's work, but it refers to the wonder.
  17. Lots of good people in SUN. Shoutout to all my old TE buddies! They're playing our song, Fen!
  18. And so the Obsidian Entente dies again. Baltus must be disappoint. Good luck Sparta. You were always cool people to hang out with.
