  1. Well, they did also declare on War Doves, so I'd call it an updeclare.
  2. If you're interested, I think it was Danger Mouse who received the message. And if you want blood, that's certainly your choice to make. Either course of action is fine, and regardless, I will speak to TJ about him sabotaging trade circles. My advice to you is to have all your members block him from private messaging in-game to prevent future headaches.
  3. You guys need to get a room. @Steve: I didn't receive the message from an IREC member, but a leader in WD did. As I understand it, it was along the lines of TJack75 being a rogue nation and we responded that WD were not going to revoke membership. I could retrieve the message for you, but I'm already far too involved in this than I want to be. Also, you say that you didn't authorize the attack on TJ, but a member of your gov is who ran the attack. Government sanctioned is all anyone needs to start a war around here. As I said, I'm willing to take the high road and let sleeping dogs lie. @TJ: You need a snickers, bud.
  4. I might have agreed with you, if it weren't for the fact that your alliance government seems to be the ones that cannot move on. Not only did your government attempt to have TJ kicked from War Doves, but TJ was also spied after he was accepted onto our AA. Now, I'm willing to let that go in hopes that we can all go our separate ways peacefully. You want him gone. WD are more than happy to have him back as a member. Seems like the situation works out great. So if you can keep your people from any future attacks on TJ, then we can move on peacefully.
  5. Lol TJack75 just needs to come on home to War Doves. EDIT: Oh hey! He did! We'll be his rebound any day. In the words of Sir Mix A Lot: "So they toss it, and leave it And I pull up quick to retrieve it"
  6. @BG http://imgur.com/fPtgjnD I've never done this from my phone before, so hopefully that works. :3
  7. I'm not a War Doves representative, but I do want to say this. You declare on us, with a huge nuke advantage, meaning we're going to lose the ability to counter in less than 24 hours in a lot of cases, and don't have the stockpiles to deal any real damage. Most of our nations are about a nuke's damage above the 2k purchase req or below it. So even if we bought MP's, most would be nuclear for 2 days at best. To me that's a waste of $10,000,000. Then you offer no econ spy ops? Nukes are generally more devastating than econ spy ops. Whether you like them or not, econ spy ops serve a strategical purpose. When we are likely to be losing on other fronts you didn't really do us any favors by taking first strike econ ops off the table. It was one of limited ways we could fight back. I specifically mentioned the nuke advantage earlier in this thread to see if you planned on using them, or forgot to mention that you wouldn't be using them in the OP. No official statement was made, so we're then faced with whether or not we feel it's necessary for the defense of our nations to start spying your nukes. That's pretty much a no brainer for anyone who's willing to look at things from our perspective. In fact, spying nukes and defcon should take priority over spying something as dumb as irs. An irs spy op is a complete waste of spy op at this stage. So please don't attempt to make us look like the bad guys for attempting to defend ourselves. Had you told us you didn't plan to nuke us, we would've likely accepted your no econ ops terms, and not spied your nukes. But for all I know, the leaders of D1/WD may still be interested in a no econ spy op war, and that was not sanctioned by gov. My opnions are my own and all I can do is speculate. About the comment about if War Doves were in the same situation as you, we'd unleash our arsenal: When I was leading War Doves, I never reneged on terms for a friendly war unless the other side did first. While I don't share other people's views on econ ops, every time I was approached with a request to take anything off the table, I always agreed and did whatever I could to communicate specific terms to my members. I let my members know that if they didn't comply with those terms, I would allow the opposing alliance to take their reps from their hide. If we had a huge nuke advantage as you have now, we'd either only nuke nuclear capable nations, or refrain from using them completely. If you're saying that War Doves has truly become so dishonorable in my absense that they are unwilling to do the things I just mentioned, then I shouldn't have come back at all. Would you be willing to give me examples of those instances so I can find out what's been going on? I'd also like to point out, before people accuse me of "crying" or complaining about this war, I'd like to say that I really don't care. The round resets in a month, and I realize I can't take my meaningless pixels with me. In fact, I really don't even have the time to make this post, as I have so much going on right now. So good luck to everyone (TDO, I don't think you really need it :P), and have a great weekend. Hopefully I get a chance to come out and play as well, though I doubt it. :/ o/
  8. I just have to say thanks for not posting a lot of drama and airing out your dirty layndry in public. I respect wanting a goodbye thread, and if you have to do that here, then at least you're keeping it classy. Good luck Roz
  9. 36 nukes against 0. I'm not sure they need luck. ;v
  10. There are a few different scenarios in which you would be buying/selling donations: You want cash - As an underdeveloped, tech selling nation, buying a donation for somebody and receiving a large sum of CN money in return is beneficial. You want tech - Once you switch over to tech buyer, buying a donation for somebody is a great way to receive large amounts of tech quickly. You want the infra/land/XP bonuses - For well developed nations, who are looking for a cheaper alternative to buying infrastructure by paying in-game tech/cash in return for a donation bonus. The more infra you have, the more expensive it is to purchase. If I paid you $36 million in-game money in exchange for a donation deal, I would gain: $10,000,000 Money, 600 Infrastructure, 600 Land Miles, 60 Technology, Wonder purchased date reset, Resource changed date reset, +20 To All XP Levels. As a well developed nation, $10 million is a drop in the bucket, so that doesn't matter. Land is nice, but not exactly worth paying the cash/tech for. 60 tech should be a drop in the bucket at this point. Wonder and resource reset is also not exactly worth paying the cash/tech either. The XP reward is fantastic, as is the infra. Let's look at the infra: I paid you $36 million for a $30 donation. At my current infra level, 600 infra would cost me $294,948,316.51 and I only paid you $36,000,000 for it. So really, all the rest of the bonuses are just sweeteners to the deal, besides XP. So really, you can buy/sell donations at any size to suit your needs. As a sub-5k infra nation you'd receive cash, and as a medium to super-tier nation you can decide between receiving tech payments, or buying a donation for yourself for the infra boost.
  11. If you were already considering donating to support the game, then donation deals are the way to go. Rather than selling tech as income, you could potentially fill your aid slots with cash every 10 days, and you would grow much quicker. Then, once you reached a desirable infra level, switch to taking in tech payments and continue to skyrocket your growth that way. However, keep in mind how easily pixels are destroyed in war. Infrastructure that took a year to build can be destroyed in a week. If sometime down the road you don't want to be disappointed that the bonuses you paid for have been destroyed, then perhaps invest your cash elsewhere. At your size, the only reason to donate for the bonuses for your nation would be to acquire wonders faster, as that's the biggest disadvantage you'll be at for several months, if not longer.
  12. Good to see you guys not only downdeclaring an alliance for an easy fight, but also nuking them when they have no nukes to reciprocate. Stay classy. o/
  13. Considering I haven't read half the crapfest in this thread, I'd say RE is welcome to hijack all of our threads from now on. o/ RE
  14. You know, the last time you and I started and finished a round together, in the same alliance, was 25. This guy did approach me about a MDoAP with War Doves. I politely declined, informing him that treaties were not recognized in TE, and that since his AA had a low member count, offered to put him on our Do Not Raid list. However, this translated to him as we had a NAP, which is untrue. But since I do have relations with him, I'd be willing to help advise him this round if he's willing to accept my advice this time around. That also goes for WFF. EDIT: format again. Stupid phone.
  15. You'd yield better stats if you took from the war stats rather than the nation statistics. While the nation stats are great, they aren't usually accurate since nations will rebuild tech/infra/land during the war, creating a false sense of what is actually being destroyed. The war stats only calculate infra/tech/land that is actually destroyed. I just took the stats for this war, and without RE and NM's wars I came up with the following: Total Damage: 87,996 NS WD/D1 Damage Dealt: 62,177 Avengers/WFF/NM Damage Dealt: 25,819 WD/D1 have dealt ~71% of the NS damages You can see my spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FlJ98IvRShVOnOnEethkVqJR8MHIeW3CL5E_GLTL-y4/edit?usp=sharing Anyway, good luck! Haha! I only realized this when I was doing the stats for Ahmad. Should we send a front to counter NLoN as well? :P If it is not condoned by Avengers, then I will cease any further economic attacks. And I've been doing most of my responses on my phone as well. I feel your pain.
  16. I'm not government. I didn't conspire anything against you. I got my target list 5 minutes before update if you couldn't tell by my abysmal blitz. I didn't even know we were attacking that night. You can keep addressing me like I still represent WD, but I don't. I'm just a member who came back for one last round with zero responsibilities. So there's no need to threaten me with what you're going to do to me next round. I won't be here. See below I'm not upset that the above happened. But if we agreed to a friendly war and your guys are going to hit me with them, then you'd have to expect that I'd retalliate. Stevie even responded to that post alluding to the fact that WD allegedly spied Avengers so the op I received was in retaliation. That was the only response I got from anybody in Avenger's camp. I assumed from the lack of response besides Stevie's that these ops were back on the table. Somebody from Avenger's should've contacted me saying the attack wasn't sanctioned if that were the case. Edit: format was off
  17. First off, I can agree with your first point. I would make the same assumption in your shoes, and nothing would convince me otherwise. But, being on the other side of things, I honestly know WD didn't have any part in that. Like I said, I don't expect you to believe me because I wouldn't believe me. And I can honestly say Stevie, that I don't care about TE anymore. The stress far outweighs any enjoyment I ever derived from this game. I've done it all. I've won flags, I created an elite fighting force. I met awesome people who I'm proud to call friends. I like to think I even earned some of the community's respect. But it's just not worth it for me anymore. I'm done. When I got talked into coming back, my conditions were that it would only be one round. I was overwhelmed with welcome back messages from across the globe and was shocked to see so many people actually happy to see me play again and I thought I might be able to not let it consume me. But then I got messages complaining about you and the Avengers. Stevie, I'll be honest, I don't want any part of that anymore. I don't care if you win 100 flags or whatever it is you do that pisses people off. I wish you and yours well. No, not you. I want to WFF to honor their treaties and fill my warslots. :3
  18. YES! PLEASE DO THAT! http://tournament.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=1000064
  19. Not everyone is breaking every game rule, just like not everyone is breaking any rules at all. But these things run rampant every round to the point where people just aren't reporting anymore. It's a losing battle. As for friend's making nations for the purposes of temp trading, I've done this myself, but I'll also say that I think it's just one step above multi's. Every time I look at how many nations are in TE, the first thing I ask myself is how many of those are trade mules. I will say that I'm glad to see someone optimistic about TE's future, because I'm not. :/
  20. A few things: First, I didn't read this thread in it's entirety, but it seems in my 2 round hiatus the term "dirty spy ops" keeps being thrown around. What I'll never understand is the following: Acceptable: Multi nations - Every round multi nations are used for trade mules. People make extra nations on their phones or use other means to create multis for a variety of uses, mostly temp trading. Donation Selling - Anyone who wins a donation knows that you cannot use TE donation winnings in TE. Admin deems it an unfair advantage that you would use your previous donation winnings, for the current round, therefore increasing your chances of winning more donation bonuses. A way around that? Sell your donation bonuses to SE nations, the payment being those nations pay for your donations in TE. War Slot filling - This is pretty self explanatory and happens every round. Casualty Farming - Also self explanatory. Ban Evasion - Self explanatory. Collusion (Spoils of War) - Whether it's attempting to increase your startup funds, or assistance to get out of bill lock, nations attack for the sole purpose of sending losing ground attacks to nations to funnel them cash as well as lower their defenses for the purposes of allowing nations to loot cash from them. Spying - No, I don't mean in-game spying. I mean people either planting their multi or friend in a foreign alliance for the purposes of sabotaging that alliance. Forum Attacks - War Doves' forums were DDoS attacked just this past weekend. Unacceptable: Economic in-game spy operations - IRS, government and religion propaganda. Is destroy money considered dirty too? The point I'm trying to make is that I think our moral compass is completely off. How is it that strategic, game rules compliant spy operations are considered immoral to the community at large, yet so many actual game rules are not only broken so often, that if you're not breaking these rules as well, you have no chance at staying competitive. EDIT: Changed "morale" to "moral". Dat grammar.
  21. Or buy a flag from someone who has won TE. I'm not sure what the going rates are, but winners often will upload your flag for a price.
  22. I identified with this so much that I had to pull my laptop back out even though I was done for the night. (And when I mean done for the night I mean, away from a pc but still browse using my phone. lol) Anyway, what can I add besides the fact that I did the most growing up while playing this game. Both in-game play, and the friends I've made have gotten me through the hardest times of my life. I too met my boyfriend in CN. We've been together going on 7 years, and are now engaged to be married. My CN friends helped me pick out a ring (and yes, the One Ring was suggested ). I've watched my friends get married, have babies, their kids get married (not the same friends lol). I've shared in their excitement to graduate high school or college, or retire. I've been there for support during troubling times. I have many phone numbers of friends, and have to say, it's funny to see a text signed "-Lauren (Samwise)". I truly do hope that after CN is completely gone, I work to keep in touch with these people that mean so much to me. Keeping in touch with hubby will be the least difficult though. Haha But I have wished my CN money was real money, and it has made me truly appreciate the importance of emergency funds. I too read acronyms how they'd be in CN. The church here in town is called "Central Christian Church" so every time I go, I think of the CCC, which fits. lol I found my old CN notebook complete with a print out of my baby nation. I actually remember geeking out and telling my mom about me finally becoming nuclear. I used to actually put post-it notes on the edge of my monitor with reminders such as improvement swapping or tech deals. And I agree that we should be able to add CN things to our resume! CN truly has become such an integral part of my life, that I know I wouldn't be the same person without it. It's the first thing I do when I wake up, and the last thing I do before I go to bed. Dang Smartphones >.>
  23. I'm not GPA, I just know that they don't deny folks without cause. As for enviro, as Ahrimann said, it's bad for everybody right now because Global Radiation Levels (GRL) are high. Anarchy is also negatively affecting your environment. Switching to democracy will improve your enviro. Your gov positions seem to be set correctly on the enviro hit questions, so you're good there. You can read more about it here, but tbh, enviro shouldn't be high on your priority list. You're in an alliance, and they say they're protected, but I question the validity of that statement. You may end up getting raided again. Plus, they don't have any tech buyers. You'd be better off finding a more established alliance. Your priorities should be: Secure Alliance Trade Circle Finding Tech Buyers - You can tech deal with folks not in your alliance, but intra alliance tech deals are always more secure, as well as the most profitable for the alliance as a whole Developing your infra - You should have someone walk you through how to purchase infra when you get to that stage and have funds to spend from your tech deals When it comes to trade circles and tech deals, even terrible alliances can provide this service. So if you find yourself in an alliance that can't get you into a trade circle or find you tech deal partners, it's a good indicator that you should move on quickly.
