FC Hitchhikernazionale managed to score a goal a man down to move on. It will be an interesting matchup, as both Tigris and FC Hitchhiker look to rebound from generally otherwise poor performances.

CABOOSE CITY - The excitement of O'Samurai's win has spilled out into the streets as supporters celebrate! It was a thrilling game that saw the blades fall behind 1-0 early but battled and battled and won on goals by Victius and AirMe.

We caught up with player/manager AirMe and he had these remarks "We got lucky in this one. FC Paradoxia was well prepared for this match and came to play. We were still asleep when the game started and they were able to snag a quick goal and it looked dire. But with a little luck, some gritty play and bad defensive play by Paradoxia we were able to come back and snag the lead. Empirica had a nice shot and it bounced right to Victius before the goalie could come back across for our first goal. And for our second, HisK had a nice run and I was able to get a foot out ahead of the defender to tip it in to the net. There is one more hurdle in our way before our grudge match with Hitchhiker. We have not forgotten their remarks but we cannot overlook OMFG. We need to be prepared."

Next game is on the 29th. It has been an exciting cup thus far with O'samurai United playing in some of the most exciting games so far and we expect the best is yet to come.

Damn, that was a good match, FOK adding the pressure for most of the match - we just got thru thnx to USMC's winsome goalkeeping and the one goal (which I'm surprised it counted) by Sam 5 mins before the 90 minute marks. Great match indeed FOK

edit: with MK Dons scoring a goal in overtime vs Nemesis, MK vs Tetris this Wednesday and my outlook - it may get violent for both teams >_>

From what I could tell, it seemed as if the ball came off the post and ricocheted off the goalie before hitting the second post, rather than going from post to post and than bouncing out. Still, absolute luck for us on that.

Shockingly dirty tactics there from AirMe and O'Samuri. OMFG may have lost this round but we expect nothing less than the final for next year. Just an all around well done job from the lads with nothing at all to be ashamed of.

CABOOSE CITY - After today's win against OMFG Player/Manager AirMe had these words to say " We won today, it wasn't pretty but we accomplished what we wanted to accomplish, even if we did get a few yellow cards. Our next match against STA will be a tough one. They have much improved their squad since the last time we faced them. One thing is for certain, we are guaranteed 2 more games and we will make the most them. As for claims that we are a boring side, we haven't lost in a long time so clearly we have to be doing something right. Those may be some ironic last words, but if we keep playing shut down defense as we have against 2 of the highest scoring teams in the tournament and make the most of the scoring opportunity that have been presented to us there is no doubt in my mind we can win this championship."

Today's match was a chippy one indeed with 3 yellow cards being handed out. At times it seemed Nitemare, Empirica and MDHammer were playing ice hockey but they got the job done. And it was fabulous the way nitemare set up Hisk's amazing header which then AirMe knocked into the net. This is the farthest O'Samurai United has ever advanced and they now have a 1 in 4 chance of bringing the cup home!
