If you're speaking about this particular instance, that's all you must have taken is a glance because there is no way you've got the picture straight. A high ranking adviser and former high government member of your alliance aids a rogue/alliance(whichever, it really doesn't matter as both instances are an act of war) at war with another alliance when it was stated for all to see on the OWF and you don't expect to have repercussions stem from that action? Where in my post, or where in your post that I quoted was anything spoken about the incident at hand? How does my saying it only takes a glance now to compare the Entente to the former Hegemony? Where did either of our posts have anything to do with Corinan (outside of being within the thread)? Also - what does Corinan and what he does and doesn't deserve have to do with this thread? This is about Schatt/CoJ and GOONS .. Their transgressions which just happen to be comparable to Corinan.

Considering they are fairly prominent in this thread your post could just have easily been directed at them and VE. Then again, it is you. The entire point of the OP is juxtaposing the CoJ/GOONS incident with the GOONS/NSO incident. Considering that he sent the aid, I'm thinking that's what he has to do with this thread. And their "transgressions" are comparable to Corinan's in the same way Keystone is comparable to Guinness.

For that statement to be true, there'd have to be a broadly agreed consensus on "right". There isn't. It's much healthier that way.

Though, I think it is blatantly clear to everyone, that as an alliance, the new GOONS is no different in the old one. It is rather ironic how, after Karma dealt the final blow to the Hegemony, we end up in a situations like this.

It is nothing new that power corrupts, and that no good deed should go unpunished. It was in the spirit of fairness that followed Karma that even allowed spineless and cowardly browbeaters like GOONS to crawl out from under the jackboot where they were justly placed. It was with the intention, in the optimistic belief and trust that "things would be different".

Unfortunately, that has not proven to be the case. In repeated, and unbroken fashion, GOONS has demonstrated that it's core value is not resilience, or valor, but rather hypocrisy. Repeatedly, it has been demonstrated, and constantly reinforced.

The question remains though, aside from whining, and making GOONS look like the rightful idiots they are, what is anyone going to do about it. It must be understood, that as a fairly large alliance, GOONS plays the important role of possible meat shield in any future global conflict.

So for now, the answer appears to sit, complain, and do nothing. [/color]

[/quote]Old GOONS was a prize boxer with a glass jaw. They could knock out anyone, but when they ended up facing an equivalent opponent they folded fast.

We're different, you see. We're like cockroaches: numerous, irritating and impossible to kill. When the time comes--- and you're all correct, a reckoning will come for all of us in time--- you'll find we're a lot more resiliant than the old alliance.
