king of cochin
The Kingdom of Cochin acknowledges this above transfer of sovereignty to Chinese Empire under Lhasa Doctrine. If you deem necessary Chinese Empire can claim exemption from Lhasa Doctrine at any time. With this transfer of land, Kingdom of Cochin ceases its presence in South East Asia and the Second Marine Division now returns to their home base at Port Blair. Captain Enema
"Might it be the one thousand or so years of Chinese rule of Vietnam ended in 938? Or it could be the Chinese supported puppet government of the Mac Dynasty? It could also be the fact that Vietnamese does not equal Chinese and the Vietnamese have routinely had to fight for their independence from a variety of foreign invaders over centuries? Surely a nation that hails from the Indian subcontinent can appreciate the irony of propping up a Chinese over class on the backs of what could be an oppressed Vietnamese underclass by a nation that once upon a time was held in thrall by the British Raj, oh the hilarity." iamthey
OOC: Particular regions in RP may have different ethnic and cultural make ups than their RL counter parts. While some continuity is nice, RPers have historically been able to fiat the ethnic and cultural make up of their nation to whatever they desire. Simply because the territory is Vietnamese in RL doesn't necessarily mean anything in terms of what it is in RP. If he says its mostly Chinese then its mostly Chinese. That being said give him a break. >_> Edited March 29, 2010 by iamthey
