Pro-tip = Join the IRC channels of alliances you'd like to look at more closely so you can have a chat with the natives. You can find IRC channel names in this thread. The Roman Empire is a relatively new alliance, a little over 100 days old. We were originally based in Tournament Edition, but our core members came over to Standard to found an alliance. We have a lot of experienced members, and can help new members grow, both as a nation and as a player. We'd love to have you with us. Several of the above posters have recommended that you come on IRC to talk to a prospective alliance; I agree, it's a good idea, regardless of who you choose. Members vote on alliance matters ranging from government elections to treaties with other alliances. We're also good about helping new players get settled and situated in the game.
