Do you remember what the 17 of us did? We fought.TDSM8: More balls than Valhalla, IRON, GGA, TPF, and OG put together. Aye, TDSM8 regardless the occasional puns were our friends. We still consider their members friends although they now have disbanded. We didn't request their help, we even discouraged it. Yet they decided to make a short but meaningful stand at our side. Kudos. OP announcement is.. odd to say the least. I don't know what happened "behind the scenes" bbut i just woke up to something i did not expect to see in my wildest dreams. I am really, really disappointed with this turnout. Bailing MDPs in prospect of a coming war..... Dissapointment, big dissapointment, that is what i feel now. I mean come on its not like they are in any way hiding lets hit them now or once we have destroyed the Tyrants. Because NPO is gonna take their beatdown then be allowed to join in as they surely now deserve to be a part of the Karmic movement as it moves on. I did not take part in any of the great wars, in fact my nation was first created shortly after the UJW. I have met many kind-hearted people in this game, many who were very passionate about their work, and have been allowed the privilege of standing together with some of this game's finest. One thing I have been taught by said finest is the strength of companionship. When standing together, you stand strong. In light of this, I must say that the lot of you disgust this relatively young player. The previous war, the Coalition War, holds a testament that echos strongly at this point in time. Goose Posted April 22, 2009 Report Share Posted April 22, 2009 I'll not yet count these alliances out as cowards and unworthy of even holding a NAP with The Commonwealth, as these treaties should have been canceled long ago, and perhaps these alliances now are just seeing things in a new light. However, as with many wars, it takes a full 24 hours for declarations in defense of allies to occur for planning reasons. As, quite clearly, these cancellations have come after the war was started, and after the first round of counterattacks on NPO, they are clearly not canceled in terms of this conflict and what is required of the alliances canceling to maintain their honor and dignity in tact is nothing short of joining in defense of their ally they so proudly defended in the past. Your names have been noted, and should you fail to honor your word of friendship and support, your word will long be tarnished in the eyes of the world. As a former GGA leader, there isn't a chance in hell that I'd drop a longtime ally and friend in NPO at the first sign of trouble. I'd like to believe that a treaty that's existed for 2.5 years on Planet Bob like the one between NPO and GGA meant more than some piece of paper that's thrown out when the odds are against them. This treaty meant something to those of us former GGA leaders who understood the bond of friendship that these two alliances had, and if different leaders had been in place, I know this would never have happened. To Degenerate, Scotchwithrocks, Kungfuhamster, Sognatore, Ironchef: you need to get a clue about what it means to be a Grand Global Alliance member. You've clearly forgotten principles of honor, and destroyed the Grand Global Alliance worse more than this war ever could have.
