I can't say my expectations are high for the group lead by Mr "I don't care about this world anymore," which is probably why DW and SW thought they could get away with a few raids scot free, but I'm pulling for you all.

I've told you in private, and both LD and DLS were aware, that some CCC members had voiced frustration with Kap being allowed to rejoin VEP as a buyer. I don't understand how this is remotely surprising given that he sanctioned several members of our alliance just a few months earlier, but every time you bring this up, you conveniently leave out that CCC was actually the last alliance to send him tech before he was removed, which reinforces what we've all told you: neither I nor anyone else in CCC ever asked for Kap to be removed from VEP, or requested that he not be sent tech. He was removed by FTW alone (because it's their program and they have the authority to do that) because of a misunderstanding given the general tension surrounding Kap, and was promptly reinstated when the confusion was cleared up. Should it have been handled differently? Yes, although I don't think that FTW did anything they weren't allowed to do. However, it is simply absurd to pretend that this somehow invalidates our peace agreement, and frankly I think everyone except you and LH seem to acknowledge that, so I don't know how much more I feel like rehashing this topic. Why are we even talking about this then? I didn't say anything about the peace agreement publicly for this exact reason: why bring up this up if you're going to be on the opposite side of the web anyway? Just go about your business and leave us alone, and we'll be more than happy to do the same. That's genuinely why I agreed to the peace deal in the first place.

I should probably clear something up that might have been lost somewhere in translation. I do not believe that Kapleo has broken any part of the peace agreement; in fact, he's ironically now the only person left in UFP/WS leadership who I've personally talked to that has been completely professional about this entire process, so I thank him for that. My comments earlier were simply to reinforce what WC and others have acknowledged, which is that our Jesus-approved peace agreement is still in effect despite UFP no longer existing. I fully expect it to be honored for the duration that was previously agreed to by all parties, and will do my best to ensure from my side that that happens.

The agreement did not die because UFP's gov at the time insisted that the ZI term be enforced on their nations specifically rather than all of UFP. The agreement is valid so long as their nations exist for the next 10 months, which for the sake of [ooc]this game[/ooc] I hope they do. You can copy and paste your ignorant post from NG's public server to try to weasel out of the arrangement all you like, but that doesn't make it true. FTW deciding to remove a member from their own tech trading program does not in any world amount to a punitive action on CCC's part, and the fact that you're only now trying to tie what happened in VEP to the Kap agreement only makes your intentions more transparent.

Oh so you're just straight up lying now? I honestly expected so much better from you. In summary: the terms were made public (as shown above); only yourself, Alex, and Nikki will be PZI'd if Kap breaks the peace agreement within a year of having signed the peace deal, not the whole alliance; "screwing up" is specifically defined as aggressive actions towards NG or CCC which is fairly specific; and Kap is allowed to be in gov and really had no other restrictions except that he cannot run for senate in a sphere that CCC or NG have a senator, which, given what started all of this, seems pretty fair if you ask me. Basically everything you said was a lie except that we see Kap as a boogey (bogey/boogie?) man, which, idk, sure. If you feel like the actual terms (that you agreed to after weeks of negotiation) aren't fair, then ok, but why completely lie about almost every single point of the very public deal we made? Why not just feign outrage at the real terms like a normal person? I don't understand.

NG just rogue-busted Kap after having gotten out of a war at the start of this year that Hitchcock engineered (ironically against Kap and Boog, but of course we don't talk about that anymore). FTW were UFP's only ally post-Boog for a long time and stood by them when few would, and outside of Londo being an idiot, they have been pretty respectful to their former ally, I think. Both have a pretty obvious interest in either or both parties of this merger. Hope that clears it up a bit for you.

In some small way, I blame Grub for starting a chain reaction that led to this. Congrats and stuff though. You both really needed this treaty so I'm glad to see it signed.

I don't think much has really changed about CN or any of its politics since you started that alliance. You're a seller and everyone wants one of those right now, so you can pretty much just pick whichever alliance you liked when you got active earlier in the year, and you'll probably be accepted. Not really sure what this proves, unless UFP is considering signing a treaty with them in the next few months too? Anyway, while I may not personally see the value in this treaty, I can respect the ability to have a short memory in CN. It's something that far too few leaders in CN have these days, and sadly it seems that I can fall into that trap sometimes too. Congrats on mending relations with old friends, at the least I'll take provocative!

Everyone complains about everything. Some people were complaining about the very fair and harmless non-war between DS and Kashmir for not expanding enough lol. We're all old and want things to happen, but not in a way that isn't ideal to our specific causes, so we do what all old people do: we complain. Not sure why anyone cares about the complaining, much less why so many people - especially those in leadership of bigger alliances - seemingly do things based on what other people might or might not complain about.

Everyone is decrying the fact that it feels like you can't attack anyone without half the alliances in the game coming back at you in "defense" due to them having 20-odd treaties. It's actually a bit ironic that in your quest to fight back against the practice of raiding, you've proven why the treaty web has all but killed it on its own by getting steamrolled over such a small aggressive war you've waged. So, yes, unfortunately you probably should've just treatied every unaligned nation that you intend to protect. This world has never rewarded moralism, and it certainly isn't going to start now.

This sounds nice but is not necessarily true. Pacifism does not have to be absolutist; as long as someone generally believes that human (or, I guess in CN terms, nation) conflict should be resolved peacefully rather than with aggression, then it's fair to label them a pacifist. Of course, doing nothing because you've long since stopped caring about this world is not pacifism, but is arguably wasteful enough to be worthy of the label as a sort of slur anyway.
