Given the large number of alliances arrayed against them and the sheer numbers of nations involved potentially they must be demigods. Meh. Have fun with the crusade I guess. I wasn't impressed two days ago and I'm still underwhelmed.

Whether or not the news is a few days older than some people would like, the fact is that Schatt seems to have access to an extensive network of individuals who are all too happy to hand over screen shots of forums and IRC chats from at least modestly sensitive areas of NPO's world. I don't think that even Schatt however believes that his presentations alone will topple NPO or cause dysfunction within the Continuum. If these institutions fail, it will be because of things going on inside them in places not even Schatt's "spies" can see. Valhalla stands by the Continuum and NPO. Reports on the demise of either are greatly exaggerated.

I just don't see stomping ants to be all that productive, frankly. While Pacifica is clearly free to do as it wishes with a valid CB in their shirt pocket, and GGA, as a solid treaty partner of NPO, has more than enough cause to join in...with all due respect, I'm not particularly impressed at this stage with either one of them. OOC: Hanging out around the spawners for kills is kinda beneath NPO and GGA, isn't it?

Looking at the Jarheads nations...something smells funny. No, not the smell of burning nations either. Assuming there was no mass killing of trades by a White Team senator, does anyone else find it odd that these guys set up nations but don't even trade amongst themselves?

Ragnarok considers ARES to be a valued and trusted ally. From the time that they were launched as one of our protectorates, we saw that they had great promise. Currently the ARES government is undergoing some leadership changes. The new government has our 100% backing and we look forward to working with them into the future. During this time we ask that the rest of ARES allies remain steadfast and patient with them as they make necessary changes. As for any potential adversaries, as always, when you mess with ARES, you mess with Rok. Bad news regarding your infra follows.

The "moon game" stagnated because the admin stopped developing it. It pretty clearly had a broken aid and combat system and rather than take the time to properly fix these things, he started on a completely unrelated project (the "medieval game") and only made minor tweaks instead. Beyond that, the highest level colonies had no real development challenges once they reached a certain level. The game boiled down to collecting, collecting, collecting...and there was no new goals to reach for between wars. You see evidence that it was the game, not the politics, in the "reset" edition of the "moon game". The number of players it is attracting simply aren't anything remotely like the original. Kevin has pretty skillfully avoided that trap up until now. He's shown that he's not afraid to fix things and give players something new to strive for...perhaps why the game is now increasing in the number of nations again (over 29k at last count) and not continuing to slide. As for the current political situation in CN, I'd say it's pretty much evolving as I thought it might 2 year ago.

On the record and IC: Ragnarok does not condone spying on an ally's forums for the purpose of cherry picking bits to make said alliance look bad...or for any other purpose. Off the record and OOC: Nitpicking the OP isn't working...it's a well written piece and presents facts that are easily verifiable. Don't hate the playa, hate the game.

I make it out to be akin to a crowd gathering, hoping to see someone jump off the top of a large building. They don't want gray matter and blood splattered on them when the guy lands head first, but that doesn't stop them from chanting, "jump!" anyway. And deprive the crowd of a good swan dive? Oh that's right, you are being logical here. They just want blood, they aren't particular who's blood as long as it isn't their own.

Using the standard that "it will end when people stop bringing it up", then it should have ended in December. But, no...NPO likes its trophy mounted on the wall in the den, it has no reason to release GATO, ever.
