1. I got this cool key chain and a promise from Hoo that I don't have to take the trash out ever. EDIT: grammar is our friend
2. Oops my bad, flipped some numbers...still, there are good reasons for wanting more tech. I'd suggest that 3,000 or so is probably enough. Actually, I don't think there is any incentive to have any more than that aside from better spying and war fighting odds.
3. Technology: 600.17 <---- WAY too low...I suggest doing some tech deals, since at your NS, tech raiding targets are going to be rare birds. You should have at least 1,000 though more would be better. Infrastructure: 6,180.00 <---- impressive...it won't come up for a while, but watch that 8,000 k infra jump Improvements: Banks: 5, Barracks: 5, Churches: 5, Clinics: 5, Factories: 5, Foreign Ministries: 1, Harbors: 1, Hospitals: 1, Intelligence Agencies: 5, Labor Camps: 5, Missile Defense: 5, Police Headquarters: 5, Satellites: 5, Schools: 5, Stadiums: 5, Universities: 2, Can't really do anything else here. Regarding barracks, they pay for themselves and save you money by increasing your troop efficiency thus allowing you to live with fewer of them. They also help you out in war time. National Wonders: No national wonders. <--- yipes Let me guess...whenever anyone needs money, you are the first one there throw $3 million at the problem. While charity is nice, I'd be tying it to tech deals whenever I could and making sure you save back at least a million a day, preferably a bit more than that. The Wonders will then be available to you. Think of this way...assuming you plan to be around CN a long time and your alliance as well, by building revenue generating Wonders, you'll be able to crank out even more aid some day, faster. Number of Soldiers: 20,000 (37,950) Defending Soldiers: 20,000 (37,950) Deployed Soldiers: 0 (0) Seems about right. Number of Tanks: 610 Defending Tanks: 610 Deployed Tanks: 0 WRONG. That token tank force is a drain on your budget and in case you are attacked will do nothing but be a speed bump. Dump them. Aircraft: 10 WRONG. Conversely, the time to buy aircraft is peace time, not when the bad guys are filling your skies with planes. Yes it costs money to keep 'em sitting around...but it is well worth it when you consider how much damage bombers can do in a couple of runs. This is also one of the many reasons why you need more tech. At your current level you can't buy Level 9 aircraft, which are your strength level you should already have...your enemies certainly will. Number of Cruise Missiles: 10 Number of Nuclear Weapons: 0 I'd pile on a few more CMs...but that's me. Number of Spies: 100 TMI...but I'll keep this in mind if I decide to send spies your way. Actually keeping at least a modest stable of spies around is just common sense, ask Polaris after the whole "where'd my nuke go?" fiasco. Population Per Mile: 62.23 Population Per Mile. A bit high...also less land means you are a better espionage target. I'd buy some (with whatever loose pocket change you have laying around) every day. That's my advise, worth what you paid for it.
4. Not surprising that NADC gained actually, since at some point they had to start turning things around war recovery-wise. Actually their score is artificially low because of the peace terms they live under and it will be interesting to see what their "real" score is once they get out from under terms. Having not peeked in on the scores for a while, I did find it surprising that FOK is getting so close to a sanction level score. I look forward to seeing what these numbers look like in a few weeks.
5. You just sorta wanna speak French to her when you see her...well do *something* French anyway....
6. Out of curiosity and because I'm too lazy to look it up, when will sanction be determined again?
7. Brownscoats Legal Disclaimer 1. None of the hot chicks that appear in the "12 Days Of Browncoats Christmas" are actually in Browncoats. Trust me, we wish they were...boy do we wish they were. 2. We may have boosted portions of the preamble of our charter from a TV show. Or not. We're not admitting to anything especially since we're not mentioned in the Mitchell Report...ok, we were worried, but it's not like we're getting paid 10 million year to swing a wooden stick and miss a cow hide covered ball 2/3 of the time. If you feel we've stolen your copyrighted work for our preamble, forget suing us. Your attorneys will collect nothing except hours that are billable to you. 3. When you join the Browncoats, you agree that you are not an arsehat, a !@#$%, or a chickenshiat. If you are these things, join another alliance or join Red Team. 4. We have no problem taking on people who have a bad reputation, in a Joan Jett bad arse chick sort of way, not in a Paris Hilton "wait, the truck hasn't shown up yet with my personal baggage sort of way." 5. Joining Browncoats will not regrow lost hair, increase the size of any body part, make you to become a tiger(ess) in the bedroom, allow you to make $35,000 a month working strictly part time, nor will it allow you to prepare gourmet meals in minutes. Actually nothing will do those things, except maybe the bit about regrowing hair, but Browncoats is cheaper and won't make you contemplate buying a Corvette to make up for the fact that certain body parts are inadequate. You will however make friends and enjoy your time on Planet Bob a lot more. 6. Browncoats provides signing bonuses and other compensation for becoming a member. It is presumption of Browncoats that when you accept these things that you aren't eying the door as you stick your hand out. See #3. 7. When the Charter indicates that "Raiding technology is prohibited 'less you run it by the Defense Minister first" you should be aware that the Defense Minister, a former member of \m/ has raided more nations than you could possibly imagine, therefore when he puts up the red light--which almost never happens--don't be stupid. See #3. 8. This recruitment offer is void where prohibited. We're pretty sure that there isn't a place on Planet Bob where it is actually prohibited, but you know lawyers.
8. My nation is 288 days old and I have received something like 6-7 events. In fact I've received 2 in the last month. 10% chance is just that, a 10% chance. Your "odds" don't improve of getting an event even if it has been a long time since you received your last one (or if you never have). Think of it this way... If you have a perfectly balanced coin, the odds it will come up heads or tails is always 50%--that you flipped heads three times in a row means nothing. So it is entirely possible that you could never have an event, just as it is possible to never have the flu (odds of getting it, 1 in 10).
9. You are probably wondering about the double post. So am I.
10. Not so fast... Part of the reason in RL that the Russians are so bitter over the prospect of the Americans achieving even a limited missile defense shield is because it makes the threat of nuclear weapons much less credible. Yes, they could still overwhelm American defenses with sheer numbers of missiles and warheads, but a limited strike (like one the North Koreans or Iranians will soon be able to muster) would be basically impossible. A more complete missile defense shield would ensure that even larger strikes would not be able to get through, or would only get through by the application of ever larger numbers of missiles and warheads. Since there is a significant expense associated with maintaining a large nuclear arsenal (and let's face it, Russia is broke), you can understand why Mr. Putin is annoyed...of course being an American, I say let him scratch his mad spot. In CN terms, all this means that the game becomes more realistic. A missile defense shield will not be available to very many nations (I don't have $75 m in my back pocket for one) but the wealthiest nations will certainly want to invest in it for "anti-nuke rogue protection" (and I believe that is a major selling point of the US system currently being deployed....).
11. If it is meant to be something like the Marshall Plan, then you would need to have the infrastructure (runways, highways, etc.) in order to handle all the aid traffic coming in and the ability to distribute it properly. So in a way I guess, both needing to have FAC makes sense. Still, as written it is welfare for rich people, save to the very, very rare occasions when you have a powerful nation that gets severely beaten down in war and now is looking to recover more rapidly.
12. To be honest I don't see many nations if any that are not in the top 5% being able to just plop $100 m on the counter so they can start buying nukes. Indeed the $100 m would be better spent on things that will assure of getting into the top 5% instead. Catch meet 22. Overall the new Wonders are like a Neiman Marcus catalog...cool stuff for rich people. Maybe some day I'll be one of them. EDIT: As for the requirements also having to be met after the wonder is bought to buy more nukes, so long as you have Uranium as a resource and meet the other basic MP requirements you should be ok.
13. I, ChairmanHal of the Haleenstar Republic, hereby formally surrender to the forces of The Legion.
