1.
They tried to tell me that I should keep only 6 or 7 in peace time so my bills weren't so high and I could be a "pro nation builder" like Umbrella.
Please tell me you didn't fall for it
2.
That would depend on your goal I guess. If your goal is to maintain the strength you have, then it's not. If your goal is to rebuild, continue to grow, and continue to be relevant, then yes, the PM strategy is counter productive. If you have strength but can't use it, do you really have strength?
Ok...so they're a bunch of pansies...and? Does that give anyone a right to keep them down forever just because they don't want to get their ass beat any harder than it already is? You talk about making the world a better place, but this "let us destroy you or its eternal war" crap is exactly what you fought against in the first place. Sparta didn't go dicks first into AZTEC just so you could get a window to pull this !@#$, we did it to give our allies a window to win against NpO (which they got). If your front was the same as ours - if hitting Pacifica truly was about keeping them off of PB so that VE could take out NpO, as you all told us it was, then you would have let Pacifica go by now. NPO was neutralized. The was was won. It's time for this to end.
3.
Then they've decided they no longer want to play.
That's quite counter productive is it not?
4. D34th's first language isn't English? I didn't even notice... What, if I may ask, is your first language?
5. Back when we had 700 nations and 1800 nukes...lulz.
6.
Aren't you forgetting someone... oh yes IRON
I swear it was different this morning.
7. I just noticed that MHA, Fark, and Sparta are the top 3 non neutral alliances. I dig it.
8.
Umbrella actually tried to convince me on #7, something I found quite humorous.
Actually keeping 24 nukes instead of 25 is a valid tip. When you go to war just buy the 25th before you nuke. It saves minimal amount of bills, sure...but something is better than nothing. That also applies when you get spied/SDI'd down to 5 nukes and have a silo. Just buy up to your 6th warhead and nuke. Then again you will likely be facing 3-6 people in any realistic war so you'll have to do this once a day per target (preferably just switching from target to target every day once you are running that low to preserve nukes) to prevent them from re-declaring so you can cycle out and re-arm yourself. If you have a WRC re-armament should only take like 7-10 days to get back to 24 so that's practically an entire-ish war cycle anyway Oh look, I'm rambling. Annnnnyyywayyyyy....not keeping your maximum amount of nukes at all times is a good thing. Just sayin.
9. This both saddens and excites me at the same time. On one hand we've lost a great ally, on another we've gained many new brothers today. Welcome, Spartans.
10.
And yet the only reason you are so bloated because you run from anything that might pose a threat to you. You even almost surrendered in this war. Cowards AND traitors. Truly, an amazing alliance.
I concur with my colleague's assessment as to the necessity that someone gives this man a hug. Oh HoT, how we love you and your shenanigans.
11. Four years ago, two men by the names of Bush_84 and Micro Miner sought out new opportunities and founded the Bush Mining corporation. However, shortly after its inception, many neighbors took offense to the very existence of our bush mining community. Apparently, to these people mining bush was something that should not have been displayed in public, let alone have an entire society revolving around it. Soon mining bush became more and more taboo, as many prominent warlords of the day, such as Bilrow of Picostanislavia hated the very idea of Bush. Bush disgusted Bilrow, as a result he threatened the destruction of the bush miners unless they dropped their bush mining ways and embraced the pink. Although the change was uncomfortable at first, these ex bush miners became fond of the pink and soon mastered it. The pink was at mercy to these men (and on occasion women, they didn't judge). More and more citizens of this tribe of warriors just kept popping out of no where. The population explosion was immense. In fact, these bush miners eventually became known as pink poppers! However, such proliferation of the pink in these lands was dangerous, and the sharing of the already limited supply of pink caused much concern for the Pink Popping society, as pink koodies was a major epidemic back in the day. However, travelers from the distant land of Troy offered a solution in the form of protective shields. Using these shields, these men and women were able to mine all the pink they wanted without worry. They liked these shields so much that they began to manufacture their own. In fact, they even used a similar label, replacing the customary Trojan insignia with that of a Spartan. It did not take long before these men and women became known as Spartans, as their mastery of the pink was as effortless and intimidating as their ancient inspiration's skills in battle. It did not take long for these Spartans, now empowered by both their protection from and dominance of the pink, to gain respect and fist bumps from foreigners throughout the land. This new found status in the world caused the young tribe of Sparta to make many crucial ego-fueled errors that almost cost it its very existence, such as the famed "hit and quit it" incident with the Darkfall clan. However, they persevered and survived, and eventually sought a new home in the distant black lands of Bob. Over the years these Spartans told others in the black lands of their past conquests over the pink and won over friendships with the likes of such inanimate objects as Umbrellas, Oranges, a bottle of "2nd Best Grease" brand cooking oil, and 42 bottles of Farkistani beer. It was a marvelous period of time for the Spartans, and they have since then erected statues in the likeness of all of these every day house hold products in gratitude and thankfulness for all the good times. Today, Sparta is on its first day of its fifth year of existence, and we could not be happier or prouder that this day is here. We wish to thank all of our friends for their support, and all of our *ahem* more negative commentators for giving us motivation to stay alive. Best wishes to all, - Sparta
12. I'm sorry to see one of the oldest blocs in the game lose another prominent member. Best of luck RoK.
13. I'm fascinated by everyone tip-toeing around Umbrella's treaties.
14. If Napoleon Dinosaur Cactuar does not win, consider our treaty canceled. Again.
15. It's been two years already? Dayum.
16. Why are we all arguing about validity of war. On two occasions in this war people have gone to war without citing any legal means what so ever (including some of the people complaining about said validity). If CD wants to go to war, let 'em. I think this war has made it clear that legality is blurry and always will be, and if somebody wants to fight for their friends then they will fight for their friends regardless what other people say about it. The arguing in this thread is pointless. Just shut up and go back to fighting.
17. I'm not sure what to make of this. Apparently CD doesn't either. [23:04:40] <+Dibbun[Sparta]> Are you guys at war? [23:04:46] <+Dibbun[Sparta]> I saw the DoW but no declarations [23:04:53] <@Luxornv[CD]> I don't know [23:05:11] <+Dibbun[Sparta]> How do you not know whether or not you're at war? [23:06:43] <@Luxornv[CD]> because the only command given to attack was issued by someone not in our alliance, so I'm not sure how to treat it
18. I still don't understand why the hell anyone but Polar is paying reps in this war. I'm quite disappointed.
19. Oh come on, who really didn't see the MK preempt coming. They are TOP's own little Ralph Maccio...except they like waxing off a lot more.
20.
After Sparta used NOIR to prevent NoR of help their allies it became a joke.
Six posts. Damn, I lost the pool. *looks around* Who had six posts?
21. I've had my ups and downs in terms of how I stood on you guys, but ya'll have always been a rock solid group no matter who your friends were. Happy birthday.
22.
LOL SPARTA the mighty war machine taking out a micro alliance. It takes balls to do that. Why dont you guys pick on someone your own size for once.
There's no kill like overkill.
23. To be honest, you're both pretty evil. I consider this war group therapy for all of you...with nukes.
