1.
I never offered peace, YOU did. Lies on the forums are frowned upon.
This was you, in the OP:
Same day I send him peace, guess what he does the next day?
And the second post:
To: cambenito From: MasterChief Date: 12/10/2011 3:16:32 AM Subject: Peace Offer Message: A peace offer has been submitted by MasterChief for the following reason: Cessation of Hostilities As soon as both nations accept peace the war will end. If either nation attacks one another this peace offer will be automatically canceled.
That kinda looks like you offering peace. Y'know, lies on the forum are frowned upon.
 2. As we're on the final day of it: good fight, Locke, though I hope that those final four nukes go crashing into my SDI tonight so that I don't have to spend an extra day twiddling my thumbs in anarchy.
 3. Edit: renamed the train per the demands of my overlords.
 4. Meh, not a big deal on our end. It was intended as a fairly light-hearted joke, but apparently it went ~*ToO fAr*~.
 5.
And here I thought BN was a classy alliance. My bad.
Classy? Sometimes. Juvenile? Probable. This is probably the harshest thing that you can expect from us by way of terms, and we're using it because it was suggested to us and we found it amusing.
 6.
So is GoD a new thing? Implying they are badly organized, or what?
Schad[BN] heh, why do you spell GoD with a lower-case o, anyway? Jack_Shepard I dont even know Jack_Shepard I'm going to pretend I meant it
 7.
So what percentage of the alliances on the all alliances display are in this new cluster freak? I'm too sick to do the math, literally. Freaking colds.
I count 82 alliances in the war, 130 in the alliances display.
 8. It seems that part of the problem is that this world has not had a defining narrative since Karma; that was the climax, everything since has been epilogue. It's not political stagnation (we've seen a fair amount of change over the past few months in that regard) or the disappearance of the poetic few (there are plenty of intelligent people remaining, on all sides of the spectrum, who can twist a phrase)...there's just a pervasive feeling that everything has been done before, the greatest story has been told, and the events simply don't generate the same passion as they once did. That could be fatal, or it might not be. It's something that cannot be easily replicated, though; a few parties taking upon themselves the trappings of evil overlord or white knight isn't going to get people engaged if it doesn't seem organic, and most of the attempts at either these days feel a bit forced.
 9.
I hope when you are on the losing end of the next major war someone remembers this, and force your alliance to fight when out numbered, bet you wouldn't last a week.
Yes, it's a totally cruel and unusual war tactic to offer someone the choice between surrender and fighting on.
 10.
It may not have been approved by your gov but that does not change the fact that he did it. He clearly tells the OP that he was following orders which was a lie. I am not sure what he was trying to do here but it was shady.
You have got to be kidding me. He said that he was following orders by attacking him. This is not a lie...indeed, BN's leadership had given him MasterChief as a target, and thus cambenito was doing exactly what he should have done. The mistake -- and it was only that -- was in telling him to send a peace offer to cease attacks rather than asking him for a formal surrender which would be followed by a peace offer, as is standard procedure in an alliance war. That was corrected, and now they keep fighting until/unless MasterChief wants to formally surrender and become a prisoner of war. It's the height of absurdity to see any greater meaning or plot in this.
 11.
He lied so I would not attack him back. This is the type of warfare these alliances are coming to? Lies and deceit though you are already at 4:1 odds really?
One, he didn't lie; he was corrected on procedure. Two, it's hardly 4:1 odds by anything save alliance count...even setting aside the fact that Valhalla and Asgaard are both engaged with pretty significantly-sized alliances, Val/Asg/BN/NEAT/SC began this front with less than three times your NS. Granted, that ratio is expanding as time goes by. Third, no one cares. If you want to surrender, PM me in-game and it can be arranged.
 12.
How dare we insult the scared CSN!
I'm hoping that 'scared' was a Freudian slip, because it makes this all the better.
 13. This thread is somewhat shorter than the other declarations. Sympathy hail!
 14. Around 300 walk in. None walk out. Think I've seen this movie before.
 15.
RIA expects you to be intelligent enough to know that non-destructible military improvements wont be taken away.
Is this your first exposure to the word 'all', or are you merely back-peddling slowly through the morass that is the past page of posts?
 16.
Leave it to Dark Templar to not know the difference between military wonders and military improvements.
Leave it to you not to understand that one of the necessary preconditions for that particular military wonder is maintaining certain military improvements.
 17.
You would have to clear it with Basketball Ninjas.
Dunno if we can claim it without having residents. One guy will hit bill-lock pretty shortly, but he has rejected our advances.
 18. Fine. I get my nuke back, plus a framed, admin-autographed picture of this momentous event. And a pony.
 19. As someone who moderated/posted walls o' text on the current affairs section of a forum for two awful years: nothing good ever comes from arguing politics on the Internet. Well, the snark can be worthwhile, but the exchange-of-ideas thing not so much.
 20.
I think you missed the "and" there cj. I see no indication of a tie between BN and SF.
Nor are there any direct ties between PF and Deinos, for that matter.
 21.
I was impressed when our very rare and well sought after war slots were given to such fine alliances as Asgaard and BN (props to you guys on the solid nations and war preperations). But what is this? since when are we giving away these once of a lifetime war slots to these folk. There were only 285 specially produced slots that went up for sale, along with another 285 given to the membership to pass out as they please. Compare that to the thousands of nations saving up for sooooo long to get their hands on it.
You're aware of how we ended up with those much-coveted slots, I'm guessing? If you're disappointed that this offer hasn't been extended to the general public, speak to the appropriate parties and we can get it rectified.
 22.
You were saying?
I'm heartened by your perception of our military might, but in general a fairly important prerequisite when "pulling a FAN" is an opponent who refuses you peace. Otherwise, the action can more accurately be described as "hiding in peace mode, screaming about persecution for no apparent reason while a bemused world looks on". So unless you have some expectation that little ol' us are planning something like that, it doesn't make much sense as a course of action. Don't get me wrong; we desire to beat GOD to a bloody pulp, and will endeavor to do exactly that. That is kinda the point of war, and I won't deny that we're going to enjoy the hell out of it. However, we have no plans to hold them at war eternally because, and this is a fairly important element, we are not complete !@#$bags like Xiphosis.
