Why are you to disband? You state how great it is to be in the alliance, and what a close cadre you have, you then proceed to reel off a long list of positive testimonials and reveal that you have good allies and protection. Sounds like a good basis for an alliance to me. At no point do you say why your disbanding, so why bother?

Just the way the game works, and most games like CN work. Frankly if there is an 'elite' willing to put the time and effort in and i'm not, they deserve to have the fun, and i don't. Of course yeah it would be nice to know more, but i'm not willing to put that sort of commitment in.

That's a bloody good point, but one of the unique things about CN is a large player base, large alliances and only about say 2% of the players actually having any influence. The rest of us choose an alliance based on RL friends / the colour scheme / becuase they asked first and just go along with what they say. Once your in and that, leaving seems pretty bad. Plus as we all know once you lost a few hundread infra losing the rest ain't so scary.

The big question for me is whether NpO knew that TOP/Iron were due to join (effectively on their side) and then negotiated peace in this knowledge without warning TOP/Iron beforehand.

Although simply a member of the 'peanut gallery'. That seems the more likely scenario to me too.

To be frank I don't give anyone the credit of being able to successfully implement such a complicated and risky plan. The thought that the loss of millions of NS and thousands of infrastructure was simply part of a complex gamble simply does not wash with me. Plus the situation is still not clear. Later may bring yet more surprises.

Whilst i very much respect your point and 111 members is no mean feat, i have just always thought that with a limited pool of nations from which to recruit from (i.e. those who share your philosophy) socialist and communist alliances would be better off united as a larger alliance. Of course the statist and libertarian difference might of proved insumountable, bit at least traditional leninist / maoist nations would be better off under one banner. They can debate between them all they want, but they would better off facing the world as comrades.

When my nations was born 1337 days ago (aw yeah), we joined a communist themed micro alliance. Ever since it imploded I have lamented the lack of unity and a good sized left alliance welcoming a broad spectrum of socialist and communist nations. I still think that's a shame. Yet another entirely separate alliance will not do your cause any good. You need to unit or you will die (again).

That's probably true but even raising it to 5mil might open up new opportunities for trade and gameplay. I think it's a shame that the cap has been 3mil for so long now.
