1.
For those that think CN forum polls would have been sufficient, please recognize that only 3 poll questions can be made per topic, which would result in 17 topics for these awards...
Yeah, that's usually how the awards have been done the last two years at least. Really the best recourse for you now is to declare your method has failed, let someone else do the awards, and post in moderation asking that this thread be closed so other people don't get confused when we do the legit awards.
 2.
WOT
Proof that your method has failed, epically
 3. Meh, it really needs to have more categories - ironically the only thing Smurf got right before his ingenious voting method I'm pretty sure the process is going to be restarted soon enough
 4.
I thought the format was decent enough, I don't think Smurf would rig the voting as it wouldn't be any benefit to do so. One thing I've noticed about this community is that everybody has a reason why your idea sucks, but no good ideas of their own.
No Good idea of their own? Either you can't read the posts ITT or you are purposely kidding yourself, the absolute best idea is to use the friggin poll feature on the forums - one vote per account. Its not rocket science folks
 5.
Dude, I've never done the awards before. I saw this thread and said '$%&@ it, I'll do them.' Noone else wanted to. The only reason I did it off-site was so I didn't have to make 100 topics for it or whatever like it was in previous years.
Why would you jump head into CN awards if you weren't ready to put the work in? Part of the reason that older players like the CN polls is because of voting dynamics and the thread that accompanies each award, as was previously stated. I think in hindsight you will realize that you weren't prepared well enough to do these awards and didn't think it through.
 6. Tips for redoing: 1. Wait 1 week - use this time to reflect on how NOT to do awards 2. Nominate people, people with the most nominations go on to voting 3. Set up threads using polls for voting ~72 hours; put the polls in each separate thread 4. Present awards, try to be entertaining whilst doing so If you can't be this simple, you fail
 7.
Why does MK feel as though I'm not including you guys? You were nominated for 90% of the categories... and you're winning ~50% of those currently. It's not a conspiracy, honestly. The only deleted votes so far are the 24 from someone who voted non grata for the first 3 options and left everything else blank. The IP was the same on all of those votes.
Just my opinion, you're being completely moronic about this whole damn process. You're telling people who they can and can't vote for, and for what reason? Plus what is wrong with using the poll feature on these forums, its much more transparent. It's sad how people get so controlling of these awards that they've turned these fun yearly award threads into a trainwreck
 8. Good war, Good terms All the best to all involved alliances in the future o/
 9. Well according to the NPL forums and CN wiki, Vulpes Inculta is still listed as the economic chair. Literally a shame when his "economic logic" runs counter to even the public guides posted on the CN forums. So to ask NPL again, why is he still in charge of Economics?
 10.
Before Karma, NPO had something like 90 score, with IRON at 80-something. NPO had something like 900 members though Seems crazy to think about now.
I think legion takes the cake for the biggest alliance in terms of sheer nations ~1500, however that was back when there were 40,000ish nations. doubt we will see much more huge mass alliances in the realm of 900 much less 1500 for the foreseeable future and prob not ever.
 11. well done. Obligatory XFD at warchests and super sekrit IRC channels
 12.
What about the Catholics?! The Orthodox? your right though, Protestants make better soldiers.
Protestant Boys
 13. why not make it: "everyone picks a date, winner gets 50 tech 3 mil from everyone who picked the wrong date" You'd get much more participation
 14. and Legion's attempt to remain worthwhile is, as they say in Denver: IN-COM-PLETE!!!
 15.
This implies that you think they did this without outside forces pressuring them to do so for one reason or another. I wouldn't be so sure.
The only thing we can be sure about is that they will make whatever decision is the wrong one. They're Legion, and they suck
 16.
Perhaps we will meet again.
You have no idea
 17.
SUN is a hiccup, they are negligible and unimportant.
topic over.
 18. So.... How about that [s]local sports team[/s] (CN Podcast)?
 19. Legion's gotta feel losing that 102K NS nation
