What I do with password protected channels is different. Go to mIRC Options -> Connect -> Perform -> type in /join #channel password
Yeah, I do it this way too.

Hell yeah I know what day it is!
It's the day when the internet gives Joseph Kony what's coming to him!

April Fools joke?Anyway, if not, sure wasn't expecting this for the next Survivor round, but its interesting.
Aw damn, you caught me.

Sexual favors: in or out?
I place zero restrictions on your method of recruitment.

I can send you stats, just tell me what dates you need.
EDIT: If you want to wait a week until I get my hands on them, that is.

Sorry Gopher, i view that thread as a totally unrelated issue. Think of it as one of the many doctrines we have floating around. Moldavi, Stewie, Tygaism... you know. That this doctrine/manifesto surfaced at this time seems to be a coincidence to me.
Roq is also trying very hard to make it about Roq and not about the issue.Right now, the T machine is trying very hard to make it about Roq and not about the issue. You consider it a mere coincidence that less than 12 hours after posting screenshots of the allegations against bros, Roq posts his political manifesto while he's the center of attention and everyone's watching what he's saying? You can't be serious.

This would be true, except you're in MK.

Could you colour peaced alliances differently depending on their side?
-
I assumed that's why they were pink.
Ah, that could be it. I saw them as pink yesterday and assumed he was identifying it as a pre-empt, but your explanation would work too.
-
I believe CSN et al. peaced out.
-
Even if they started off as different wars (and, as with the last two wars, most opinions on that will be determined by which side of the treaty web you're on), odds are that they'll eventually merge into a single war.
Good luck keeping track of two separate wars once they start to overlap.

Shadoz, I've missed you.

I initially thought about that, but I figure it'd be difficult to have people agree on what is an acceptable length of time in peace mode. They could counter-attack after a week or a month, and personally I believe a month is too long. But wars last forever these days, and some might feel a month is acceptable. However, I don't think anyone can believe an alliance is truly fighting a war if 60% or more of their alliance is in peace mode. That's the basis of my definition."The Hippy Shield Comes Up At 60%."If the "hippy shield", in your words, is only bad if it's used to "refuse to negotiate an end to the war", shouldn't your definition be based on a length of time, rather than just a nation percentage?Yeah, 60% isn't a bad number, but there should probably be some leeway for the start of the war. Like you said, if peace mode is a good strategic tool for avoiding an initial onslaught, having 100% in peace mode would be an amazing tactical move.
If this were still the case more than a week into the war, then yes, I'd agree with you. But seeing as peace mode lasts five days, I see anywhere between 5-7 days to be a fair freebie in terms of PM.
(That being said, there should probably be an NS-dependent term in that as well. If your top 50% is all in PM, while your bottom 50% are all in war mode, there's a problem there too).

Given that this might affect some alliances, would it be possible to adjust the dates so that each set has ten days, with overlapping competitions for tribes? I don't want to make it too hard or anything, but it seems to make sense.Heh, (almost) all of our slots are synced, and our tech day happens to fall during the dates for the 61st-72nd round. But if we advance, we'll probably end up importing pretty close to zero tech during the next round of the competition.I thought about making each round ten days, but decided against it for two reasons:
- It would make this entire thing way too long. Three months just isn't cool.
- I'm guessing that after a fairly short time period, it will become evident which alliances are going to move on. I feel that extending each round to ten days will only cause people to get bored, as they'll just be waiting to see how much certain alliances can run up their score, rather than seeing who will advance.
* - That being said, if it turns out that five days isn't enough time, I reserve the right to extend the length of the following rounds. If I do so, I'll give at least five days notice.

-
Straight tech or percentage of possible tech that could have been imported?
Tech change over the five days. Nation gains, nation losses, tech importing, tech exporting, etc.

Legion's getting their head kicked in?
Also, Invicta downgraded several days ago.

I'd say that the reason for longer wars is partly related to warchests, but partly related to nation size as well. Simply because everyone's nations are so large (and, like you stated, their capability to rebuild is so big), it takes so much longer to bring them down to a point where they don't pose a future threat to you.

Is this part of your "buy five, get one free" offer?

One post per minute during the ~16 hours someone will be awake during a day? Good luck with that.
