Quoted for truth. If Invicta doesn't defend SOS and I was allied to Invicta, I'd be questioning why I was still allied to Invicta.

I can not speak as to Invicta's intent, however some feel that optional is important as a treaty should have intent NOT to be used unless the cause is just. Not arguing whether or not this is just nor if that was Invicta's idea behind the optional. Wanted to point out though that not everyone views it necessary or even proper to support allies if said allies have done something not worthy of support. Thus why they sign treaties with optional clauses. The intent or lack thereof is dependent entirely upon the justifications of the situation.

Now I would also point out however that if we are trying to mind read Invicta, it doesnt seem very logical to claim they are being cowardly here. Past actions have shown them willingly jumping into a fire for an ally. Thus the onus is on a detractor to justify a claim of cowardice.

Actually, I was referring to the NG-SOS war, and that sort.

It seems that Invicta is much more skeptical of assisting SOS in a fight that some people believe is a belligerent attack against them. This is especially disturbing since how Invicta was ready to support them in their last conflict.
