Ill be honest and say that I have been away for some time due to lack of time IRL / interest, I dont even know what this war is over I just turned up for the party. You may be correct in that IRON may have fallen from whatever (if any) historical grace it once held within the CN community, I dont know as Im not around enough to take note, maybe we are now in terminal decline as CNs larger alliances loose members to the ever increasing smaller niche alliances or we are just that crap people are leaving. I just dont know these days, I log in, collect taxes, drop nukes and log out. For my part though I will say that during the years that I was very active in the game there is one alliance that comes to mind as WAE and that is The Phoenix Federation (TPF) - not through the fault of its membership but due to the leadership that existed at the time and the tactics that were employed. TPF signed up to World Unity Treaty not long before it imploded, then signed up to The Unjust Path. In the run up to the UjP War TPF decided it didnt like its friends any more because theyre being idiots and negotiated a white peace with us even before it had made a DoW in support of its friends that it had already planned to leave high and dry. TPF entered the UjP war having already negotiated a white peace with IRON/NpO governments with some GGA leadership also in the loop, TPF entered the war only to save face having already negotiated and agreed a way out of the war before it had even fired its first nuke leaving its "friends" to the delightful order of the day - military devastation followed by crippling reparations (for the time these were big sums) and obscene terms in hindsight imposed by us the victors on its friends. Some fun facts of the day: Unjust Path Signatory Alliances - Terms Offered Golden Sabres : Surrenders - $185m to all alliances it fought (this was a small offshoot of FAN if I remember rightly, only small something like 40 odd members) \m/ : Become an "eternal tech farm" of Polaris, minimum military, no military improvements, and have a Polar Viceroy imposed. \m/ chose to disband (at least 100 members) Genmay : Disbands. Mushroom Kingdom : Surrenders - £600m reparations GOONS : Fought VietFAN style, pummeled/forced into peace mode for 9 months or so then disbanded. The Phoenix Federation : White Peace You were TPF's Minister of War from memory or very senior TPF military as I remember discussions with you during/post war. With all of the above in mind I find it puzzling that you think that you are in a position to be handing out WAE nominations. For all the idiotic things that I have witnessed or heard about in all these years (including within my own alliance), TPF's underhanded capitulation on multiple treaty partners and abandoning them in every sense of the word before a shot was even fired is at the forefront of my mind when people say WAE is X-ALLIANCE - no, I remember those days with TPF. Did you guys ever come clean to MK/GOONs and friends about this?

I am and have been for sometime AFK from CN; what a loveley time to come back. IRON and TOP at war with Polaris; having the chance to do some pilaging (hopefully) with you guys and seeing ex-IRON bleating sorry tales all over the forums about how irreplaceable they [s]are[/s] were. What ever next? Legion winning a war; not only winning but stopping at nothing less than total magnanimity. One can but dream.

A true shame but all things come to an end sooner or later. When i left IRON the first time round one of the biggest draws to join Valhalla was that it was such a gung'ho atmosphere coupled with the nutcases that called it home; CJ, Bob, tronix, Pansy, Kry, Toga (later kasha). I had a blast with you guys in the time that I was with you; all the best to Tronix now at the helm; may you pilage without remorse. CJ may you drink yourself silly on mead, youve earned it. I dont really like or simply just dont care about any of the alliances involved thus far so Ill just sit back and watch you destroy yourselves; maybe allowing myself a smile too. As for the Polaris explanation I have a long memory of Polar pulling deceitful stunts long before NpO-\m/ war; its hard to believe that an alliance historically so adept at depict and realpolitik tries to plead ignorance when it gets caught with its fingers in the pie whilst the same old names are running the show. Anyways, it has always been my belief that a nation sitter is forbidden to distribute aid/essentially liquidate a nations assets under the guise of "Im letting Ruler X sit my nation, Ill be back in 10 weeks", in the mean time the sitter plunders the nation they are sitting for the duration of the nation sit only for the original ruler never to return and the nation gets deleted due to account inactivity. Is my belief correct or am I barking up the wrong tree here?

NSO is rather unpredictable; and as Moldavi said he has an alliance full of inexperienced war mongers thats a loose cannon. Id guess NSO would join if they wanted to. I wouldnt have thought there would be anything in their MDP with Polaris that requires Polaris's express permission prior to NSO aiding the defense of Polaris. Edit* Trying to find the treaty; not having much luck. EDIT* Treaty is MDoAP via article III (NSO may provide voluntary assistance) and article IV (again voluntary assistance). NSO can have fun here.

The community has been pretty solid in its response thus far; of course spearheaded by Polaris. The tech raiding shenanigans is a throwback to the dark days where \m/ nations were able to nuclear blackmail unaligned nations. Even after 3 years some things never change I guess.

Its not an apology when you say sorry then in the next sentence say "these sort of comments are said all the time and always jokingly"; it makes the apology meaningless words if you immediately try to justify it with a lame reason. Either way someone is upset, around 25% of \m/ is in peacemode, good luck with that and etc.

Probably an idea if IRON members who dont know how to spell meatshield, are incapable of adding some form of spell check to their communications clerk or lack the foresight of doing so, cannot make their own propaganda (thats at least reasonable) or at the bare minimum can refrain from saying generally dumb things about ODN joining Super Complaints shouldnt post in this thread. If you want to baaaw do so elsewhere where you just make yourselves look dumb and not end up tarring the remaining 500 odd members with your brush.
