  1. Is that you saying past alliance behaviour lives with the current alliance forever? No redeeming? Interesting... seeing what flag you fly. Interesting. GK
  2. My best wishes go out to TPF, and I hope it is the satisfying excursion you seek. As for the talk of "perma war" - if you enter a war, declare war with the expectation that it does not go on forever you have made a mistake. Going in with the assumption that you will eventually Peace Out is just folly. So until the war ends it should be considered full-on war forever and can't see how it is even a discussion. GK
  3. This is a well thought out post, and I do not disagree there there is another side also full of reasoned decisions. But NPO never gave us a chance to speak to their treaty with Umbrella before they signed - if I recall correctly - NPO were already the spear tip in a Doomsphere Offensive war before TPF Gov were even commenting on the treaty announcement. I believe TPF would have split from NPO over the Umbrella treaty if the same respect was shown as TPF showed NPO by discussing MI6 treaty in advance. So I do not denounce the fact NPO cancelled on TPF for ignoring their ultimatum on MI6. I don't think anyone says they have no right, but for me, the complete lack of understanding on how there could even be hurt feelings in the manner NPO have done this... that wrankles. Yes, we were obviously going to be a target as a part of a MI6 pile on. NPO were clearly going to get their pound of flesh from MI6, but to pre-empt and take the lead against TPF when the fight was coming anyway? Gain a day of fighting against an alliance the leaders of NPO now use terms like "on the slide", "inactivity"... why even bother? And then to act as if its just scratching a boredom itch? It is just acting in a real arrogant, disrespectful manner. And in that I expected more. Not because we used to be friends, allies, not just because my whole entire CN life has been burning as a member of and then allied to NPO - but because it is just common decency to admit you are being a dick, when you do dick things. GK
  4. With Fort Wayne tipped to push for playoff places in week 2, Irlanda Celts pulled off a stunning coup by surviving and finally picking their shots in the shoot out to record their second in a row. Celt fans are really getting behind the underdog status with gusto, but how much longer can they be considered such if this form continues. GK
  5. What? You are not making sense. They have a Chaos theme, and command a power in the upper tier which allows them to do whatever they want in the Top 1% of the game. They have not changed the direction of the game, they are not promoting chaos throughout the game and they have not changed how wars function. GK
  6. Doomsphere promotes a theme of Chaos. They do not actually follow Chaos as a direction. They have equal or more treaties than other spheres, they fight in order with chaining treaties in the same way as before, they target specific alliances and play plitics in a processed way. So I think the whole premise of this discussion is misplaced. GK
  7. That may work out that way, and I am one of your allies who has not picked a side in this fight. I am merely pointing out that how NPO is acting is not up front and genuine. Yes, some of the individuals are saying this is war, this is just war, this is this and that. But the official line is and your personal sentiment is "allies have picked sides", but it is NPO that had picked their side even if no other allies had because Umbrella were courted or vice verse. I don't believe NPO are puppets or any such rhetoric being spouted, but you certainly are not acting to support your allies (except one right now), while saying you are. GK
  8. It is not a lot of work at all. It means every time NpO wish to flex this muscle you will be enacting the right of a whole coalition escalation over and over. I just don't see how it is sustainable for you or for your allies if you come out losing this war. GK
  9. Polar have put themselves on the path of self-enforced lower tier fighting. DBDC fund smaller nations, who are willing to fight and send Tech to DBDC while doing so. Costs them nothing all the while that Nation's alliance mate down declare on NpO fighters. Pummel, pummel, pummel. I don't see how this works out for Polar unless you come out of this war as victor. GK
  10. The babble in the OP... "And our allies have picked a side, so we will lend our support to it with the full weight of our military arsenal." This ally is an ally signed with after the "charge against the Polarsphere" had already begun. Blah. Anyway, like I said transparent and not exactly a good cover up story. NPO picked their side, were involved from the outset in setting the sides and then when they finally attack say "Oops, allies asked us... sorry, nothing personal." GK
  11. To be fair though, Aid as an act of war has always been something people have followed - and more so in isolated smaller engagements. You are right in saying tech deals in large scale engagements have had gentlemanly conduct, but you can hardly claim DBDC have shown any such conduct in other areas. I don't agree that Polar will be able to enforce this throughout but it is not so wild and fanciful as people wish to paint it. GK
  12. Could not agree more. This sentiment needs to be appended to the top of every page of this thread. NPO wanted to hit SNX to get stuck into the opposing soon-to-be-coalition, saying anything but that is just disingenuous and sad, really. "Just honouring our ally", bull. This was an ally you signed with within 48 hours of attacking, during a lull in escalation of a DS attempts to ignite a war, based on one rogue nation attacking.... It is so transparent that it is actually shocking that you spent so long on the OP to try and cover up the "We have been involved in organising this war with the Doomsphere for some time now and well, here it is.". Just play it straight and honest. GK
  13. Understood. And again, crux of my point. So why the Invicta pretense? Why the ballooned CB over what amounts to a rogue nation? Why oA? Why not just do what was wanted instead of acting inconsistently and in a manner which previously would have angered some now standing around defending their actions? You have a plan, you have a list of alliances paired up - why not just hit and be done with it. Why the charade of chaining with an attempt of justifying it? GK
