Gopherbashi
If there is a large scale war, make into a survivor based on who will lose most (like WAE island a while back). Oh please, GPA needs to work for their victories. Update cometh.

The charge is led by Ragnarok with three-quarters of a point, which ironically doesn't move them anywhere in the overall standings. So many people gained that even the New Sith Order managed to end its tumultuous five-day losing streak. There's enough large losers that they get to be mentioned individually. The New Polar Order has the only significant fall within the sanctioned alliances, dropping an eighth of a point. The Legion loses four nations for a similar loss, while The Grämlins fall twice as far thanks to the departure of one nation. The Federation of Armed Nations has its first legitimate loss in 90 days (not including their post-Survivor hangover), having last lost score on September 28th. Also, I don't know what exploded at Invicta, but it took out half a point and knocked them down three places in the standings. The Mostly Harmless Alliance is almost in first, Sparta is almost in third, the World Task Force almost has their sanction back, and a whole pile of stuff happened in Tier Three that I'm not even going to try and interpret. A couple of quick notes: You'll notice that Ragnarok and Athens have little blue dots (•) beside them. This is to signify their allegiance in the current war, and will be added to any other alliances who side with them. Similarly, any alliances siding with The Phoenix Federation will be donated by an orange dot (•) in the Sanction Race. I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the Sanction Race is not intended to be a platform to argue your own political beliefs. Discussion and observations about statistics and trends is fine, but there's a fine line, and I'd hate for this thread to get locked on the eve of its second anniversary. There's more than enough other threads out there for you to tear out each other's throats. (And by all means, if it seems like I'm being untowardly biased, feel free to shoot me a PM or hunt me down on IRC. Even the best of us can't be perfect all the time.) Survivor will continue until the end of the first round, which is four days from now. At that time, we'll take a look at the how the war is progressing and determine whether to cancel, postpone, or continue with the remainder of the competition. ---------- Related Links: Stats By Unspeakable Evil Tournament Edition Sanction Race How To Update the Amazing Sanction Race Sanction Race Update Creator spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pFd...rmXWQ&hl=en [/update] Edited December 28, 2009 by Gopherbashi

Gopherbashi
Survivor: Christmas Madness - First Round December 27 - Day 1 of 5 The following are the matchups for the first round of Survivor: Christmas Madness. Alliances were ranked according to their total score gain over the seven days of qualifying, with any ties being given to the alliance with the lower score. The full bracket for this tournament is located here. The main competition will have a March Madness-style setup, with two alliances competing head-to-head in a best-of-five series to advance to the next round. Whichever of the two alliances gains the most score on each day will win that day. Any tie shall be treated as a tie. Whoever has more wins after five days shall win that round. Should the two alliances have the same number of victories after five days, the alliance with the greatest cumulative score gained over that five-day period shall advance. (Also, apologies to a few of the alliances out there - I got my program to pick out all capital letters when making acronyms, so I had to slightly alter a few of your names. I figured alliances such as RNR would rather have the N capitalized than not show up at all). --------------- 1 United Purple Nations (23.91) v. 32 Viridian Entente (30.17) --- VE leads series 1 - 0 Viridian Entente (+0.02), United Purple Nations (-0.05) 17 Vanguard (11.28) v. 16 Kronos (5.59) --- Vanguard leads series 1 - 0 Vanguard (+0.07), Kronos (+0.04) 9 Athens (21.42) v. 24 NATO (14.88) --- Athens leads series 1 - 0 Athens (+0.27), NATO (+0.01) 25 The Foreign Division (12.24) v. 8 Silence (10.91) --- Silence leads series 1 - 0 Silence (+0.04), The Foreign Division (-0.32) 5 Poison Clan (12.00) v. 28 Nusantara Elite Warriors (15.55) --- PC leads series 1 - 0 Poison Clan (+0.37), Nusantara Elite Warriors (+0.20) 21 RNR (16.14) v. 12 Valhalla (10.13) --- Valhalla leads series 1 - 0 Valhalla (+0.15), RNR (+0.04) 13 the Grand Lodge Of Freemasons (13.16) v. 20 Dark Fist (5.85) --- GLOF leads series 1 - 0 the Grand Lodge Of Freemasons (+0.03), Dark Fist (+0.01) 29 The Brigade (6.16) v. 4 Mostly Harmless Alliance (55.29) --- MHA leads series 1 - 0 Mostly Harmless Alliance (+0.39), The Brigade (+0.01) 3 The Dark Templar (8.94) v. 30 Global Democratic Alliance (10.14) --- GDA leads series 1 - 0 Global Democratic Alliance (+0.03), The Dark Templar (-0.46) 19 Federation of Armed Nations (16.91) v. 14 Christian Coalition of Countries (8.05) --- CCC leads series 1 - 0 Christian Coalition of Countries (-0.01), Federation of Armed Nations (-0.02) 11 Nueva Vida (16.84) v. 22 Invicta (15.95) --- NV leads series 1 - 0 Nueva Vida (+0.04), Invicta (-0.47) 27 United Sovereign Nations (6.38) v. 6 Random Insanity Alliance (20.40) --- RIA leads series 1 - 0 Random Insanity Alliance (+0.25), United Sovereign Nations (+0.01) 7 The Order Of Light (30.98) v. 26 Orange Defense Network (38.85) --- TOOL leads series 1 - 0 The Order Of Light (+0.30), Orange Defense Network (+0.07) 23 FOK (31.64) v. 10 Green Protection Agency (35.49) --- GPA leads series 1 - 0 Green Protection Agency (+0.06), FOK (-0.04) 15 Mushroom Kingdom (31.08) v. 18 Sparta (53.02) --- Sparta leads series 1 - 0 Sparta (+0.38), Mushroom Kingdom (+0.35) 31 North Atlantic Defense Coalition (16.41) v. 2 Imperial Assault Alliance (11.51) --- IAA leads series 1 - 0 Imperial Assault Alliance (+0.11), North Atlantic Defense Coalition (+0.05)
