Commentary

Members of most sanctioned alliances had reason to rejoice today, as half of the alliances showed score boosts of at least a tenth of a point. There were a couple of exceptions, of course: The Order of the Paradox lost three more members and stole the Biggest Loser title for the second time running with a significant fifth of a point loss; and The Phoenix Federation, who lost nearly as much. Another alliance with reason to sulk today is Mostly Harmless Alliance, as their respectable gain was outshone by their immediate competitors, especially Sparta and the New Pacific Order. Grinning most brightly today, though, are The Grämlins, who passed two sanctioned alliances today and won the Biggest Gainer prize.

Under the Sanction Line, however, the view changed, as many alliances posted relatively negative results today. The Grand Global Alliance lost just as much as the New Polar Order gained today; less than two points separate them. Among the other losers are The Order of Light, whose curse has evidently gone suicidal, Echelon, who lost the most of the non-sanctioned alliances, and United Purple Nations, who have lost nearly a tenth of a point for the second day running. Not every alliance experienced a loss today, though; the Global Democratic Alliance and Invicta both regained the positions they lost yesterday (in the case of Invicta, partially regained). In the four-way race around fourteen points, every alliance gained, and RnR and the Mushroom Kingdom drafted each other to gain ever so slightly on LoSS. The North Atlantic Defense Coalition also made a number of passes today.

For the interested observer, here's a couple tidbits of interesting and not-so-interesting information:

1) Apparently the Independent Republic of Orange Nations has had more nations flying their AA than the New Pacific Order for a couple days now.

2) If the Grand Global Alliance were to regain their sanction right now (and it seems they will shortly, which is why I've replaced the Frozen Add Line values with the values if the Grand Global Alliance were sanctioned), {73} Umbrella would be 0.14 from entering the Sanction Race.

And finally, for the shoutouts! To Nueva Vida: rejoice, for you're still in this! And to Shamshir: don't count your members before they've joined.

Net Gains By Colour

Aqua (+0.61)

Black (+0.31)

Red (+0.26)

Blue (+0.22)

Orange (+0.15)

Maroon (-0.03)

Purple (-0.04)

Green (-0.26)

White (-0.29)

Commentary

Even with the losses of some of its member alliances, Orange still demonstrates a reasonable gain; Blue follows the same pattern. Aqua alliances were also up and down, but a pair of stellar gains ensure victory in the color race today. Both Green and White had bad days today, as all their alliances in the race suffered losses. Finally, props to the New Pacific Order Red for third place today.

In all fairness they did have that major war with ITA to rebuild from.

Also sup RnR :ehm:

Good point. The Polars have been pretty good at avoiding any wars this year, but the GGA's devastated ranks, when they finish paying reps, should grow a lot faster considering how many wonders/improvements they have. I just hope that GGA's terms don't expire before Polar passes them, or else we'll never catch them.
