so, i am kinda feeling noobish, but, how do I enter in the latitude and longitude to get it at the right spot?
No idea why it never got put into the op;

1) Go to "View My Nation"
2) Click "View Moon Map" i.e. the moon icon beside your nations name
3) Grab your base and drag it anywhere on the map. An info bubble pops up with details about moving your Moon base/mine. If you're simply wanting to move your mine, then right click the hyperlink for "Relocate Moon Mine" and copy link location. If you want to change your resources as well, then right click that hyperlink and copy link location.
4) Paste what you've copied in a blank notepad. It should look like this: http://www.cybernations.net/national_wonders_map.asp?Nation_ID=127226&Location=Moon&Type=Mine&lon=-22.6593017578125&lat=56.26165975623276&VALUE=830D39AFE3 , only it'll be your nation ID, your coordinates and your unique VALUE number.
5) Next come check this thread for the coordinates. The picture is Latitude / Longitude, whereas in the url it's Longitude / Latitude. This is pretty important to remember. So the most recent coordinates are 70.00000002,7.00000000
6) You now want to insert these values into your url. So you take the Latitude value (in this case 70.00000002) and replace the Latitude value in your url (in my case 56.26165975), and do the same for Longitude replacing the old (-22.65930117) with the new (7.00000000). In my case this would give me the new url of: http://www.cybernations.net/national_wonders_map.asp?Nation_ID=127226&Location=Moon&Type=Mine&lon=7.0000000078125&lat=70.00000002623276&VALUE=830D39AFE3
7) Copy your new url, paste it into the address bar, hit return and it will move your mine/base to the exact coordinates.

Key things to note;

* You only need to change the first 8 decimal places in the coordinates, just leave the 9th-14th decimal values as they are.
* Remember the that the coordinates in the op picture are mirrored in the url.

I think that's it.

okay, i went full guinea pig this time around (too eager to do my 11-day collection, sadly) and boneheaded it. i even got a 55% on my 2d try and neglected to use that as a feed-in to my spreadsheet to get a better guess for my 3d attempt, which sadly ended up being useless.

70,7 (original) 50%
17.9, 113.6 50%
19.3, -81.6 50%
-37.16, -101.3 55%

if i had used my spreadsheet, my next try would have been -48,-10 as one possible to get the 55% result. as in previous months, please report results over 50% here and i'll plug those co-ords into the sheet and narrow it down some more ... usually need at least 4 datapoints above 50 to confirm it ...

Ok, I have a stupid question. I only bought my moon colony a few days ago, and I moved it to last months hot spot so I could collect when I did. But, I want to move my base and mine now. I moved my mine just fine, but the problem is, my colony is sitting on top of my base so I cannot click on it to move it. Anyone know how to get around this?

Probably too late for this now, but if you go to something like View Source when right clicking (depends on your browser), you should be able to find the link you need to paste into your browser.

Thanks again for the coordinates! Always a huge help :)

This may not be the place to discuss this... but has anyone else struggled to get their desired resource from the moon mine? I always get either calcium or silicon. I think I've changed resources like 6-8 times, and it always switches back and forth between those two... anyone know what's up with that?

This has probably already been asked, but I don't feel like reading a full 27 page thread. How do you tell what the coordinates are that you are dropping your mine? Even with the exact coordinates posted on this topic, I'm having trouble putting my stuff in the right position. Is there something I'm missing?

I still mix up long and lat from time to time.

A few points of data:
-13, -168, 64%
-15, -169, 65%
-16, -170, 66%

Using these points I formed a line under that assumption that 1%=1 deg (which I know is incorrect), and adjusted:

-40, 166, 85%
-44, 170, 83%
-46, 160, 87%

getting better, but still a ways to go. For future points, I would continue along this path until the effectiveness drops, then drop a perpendicular to the northwest at an appropriate point.

Next Suggested Points:
-53, 153
-60, 146

I recall that there has been a fair amount of discussion but have we ever determined the actual equation modeling how effectiveness falls off with respect to distance?
