casita
Hello CN :) I'm from NS. Not much of a RPr, more into 'leftist' gameplay. CN looks like a cool place, but it seems to be wicked complicated or at least compared to NS. At any rate, I'm interesting in getting involved here. Saxplayer
I would recommend The Union of Communist Republics :)
casita
Excellent. Is there an easy way to find it? Because when I searched for alliances I get a long list to sift through.

Banned
The planet that all these "cyber" nations occupy. And I would totally recommend The International. Worked with them for quite some time now, good group especially if you're into leftist stuff.
casita
I think I'll wait for a couple days and see if anything happens with LSF. Thank you everyone :) Edited July 18, 2014 by casita
Groucho Marx
I would recommend The Union of Communist Republics :) And I would recommend an alliance that can wipe its own ass, let alone protect it.

Alexio15
And I would recommend an alliance that can wipe its own ass, let alone protect it. Pretty sure people can make their own choice, if he wants to go to someone in DL then cool.
Groucho Marx
So, you're not recommending INT then? That's very amusing coming from a Usual Suspects bloc member.

casita
I heard INT left their LSF comrades in the middle of a war with the fascists? If true, not sure I would want to join an alliance like that. What's 'a usual suspect bloc member' a communist bloc member? And what does NATO represent here? Neo Uruk
If you want to look at it in black and white, that's essentially what happened. However, there was a lot of politics and the leader of INT at the time is long gone.I feel like LSF would suit a newer player better than Int would, although both probably aren't the greatest to get your start at.A "Usual Suspect" bloc member is just what it says, there is a treaty bloc called Plan B, or The Usual Suspects. http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/Plan_B NATO doesn't represent any solid political movement. They are in a certain area of the treaty web which will be irrelevant to you at this stage I'd think. They are a very friendly bunch, but rarely if ever play hard politics. Yeah, it's never black and white. Is there some recorded history about this incident? I'm into leftist game play and so far I've seen INT, LSF (which I'm waiting for approval) and UCR. Are there any others out there? Thanks for the link :) I think I have a basic understanding :)

However, to simplify all the details, INT promised to declare war on Nordreich (the alliance hitting LSF) at a later date. That date was over a year and a half later and due to other circumstances, so doesn't really count :PI'm not sure of any other communist alliances that I would recommend. They're all for the mostly dead, I think. Not a good place to start out.
casita
I see :) Leftist gameplay is kind of dead here, that sucks. Nevertheless, I'll stick around and see if things change. In the meantime, hopefully, I can manage to agitate a war with nordreich. Maybe INT, UCR and LSF can manage to get together, this time; it might be a long shot, but worth trying anyway. Hello, Comrade! Welcome to CN. I am pleased to see you made your way over here. From what I can tell, you appear to be a pretty militant style of leftist, which would mean LSF is a really good fit for you. Most of LSF, from what I can tell, has been at odds with established fascists and imperialist alliances for quite a while. The International however, based on my own, and others personal experiences is leftist in name only. They generally do not have any real democratic process (despite claiming all actions are done via the Congress - in reality, Momentum handles about 90% of shit), and elections are non existent. People are appointed based upon merit, which is fine but not if you're going to have a leftist theme. There's good people in INT, and I know Momentum (MoMo :) ) is one of them, so if you want to check them out, feel free. Just be forewarned it's a bit of an insiders club there, and there's a lot of older cynics there. Leftist gameplay is far from dead. There is a very large confederation between the Socialist Worker's Front, Libertarian Socialist Federation and the Union of COmmunist Republics. It's called Die Linke. If you're in LSF, you are already connected with these alliances and are able to get tech deals, trades and military support from them. It's a unique political setup that allows us all to stand in solidarity with each other when it counts.
