Wow, since I like ODN, I'm not going to tear into you, but stop. The condescending tone really pisses me off. Who do you think you are? Man, if only I had known ODN would start turning on me when I single-handedly pushed through the ODN treaty despite the Senate issue.

Oh look, another instance where one person in an alliance says something to Roq, and suddenly its ODN turning on him.

The lesson to be learned here: The only way to LIKE Roq is with 100% alliance approval. Every members loves and revered him, and if a single dissenting voice appears, the entire alliance now is turning.

Nope.

NO
EGO
AT
ALL.

He is government and my proverbial back has a ton of open wounds. Like I said, I don't really care if people don't like me. If it causes trouble for Sparta, I'll gladly go to Hell and find somewhere else where I can do what I want.

If you're getting pissed at what Geerland has said, then I pity you.

Well hells bells. Gov cant have personal opinions, and 100% of the time, EACH AND EVERY GOV MEMBER is ALWAYS communicating the alliance stance.

Your logic, sir, is flawless. This is about the 100th time you have done this very same thing.

He said "it's quiet time now." How am I supposed to take that?

Roq I actually like you quite a bit, but this is starting to get silly. At least take a lesson in showmanship and don't flood us with too much too fast. ;)

Also, could you quote the posts you're responding to? Its hard to follow when you don't.

At any rate, good luck in whatever it is you're trying to do.

Sorry, like I said I was gone most of last week since I got railroaded with RL stuff, so I'm trying to stay on a roll. It doesn't take me a long time to write something like the op. It took maybe 2-3 minutes. shirunei said I have long fingers or something.

I dont. I simply point out people who help others, do so selflessly, and shouldnt need to point out that they help others. They should do it just because. You seem to have to, whether its in CN, or in RL, trumpet your own "giving" nature. As if it somehow augments the in-game personae that you are trying to create. That you were helping homeless people(if you were), is commendable, that you would sully that good deed by using it in your over-inflated ego-driven quest for CN vanity, is petty. Much like you.

The way I read that, was Roq mentioned it in response to people bringing his RL state up.

Also, would you please denounce potato for milking the "CN grand give~~" for PR? Thanks.

Yes, you can really compare potato to Roquentin in the attention whoring department. When potato starts making thread after thread going "Oh look at me now!," then responding to EVERY SINGLE POST like it is a personal attack by an entire alliance on some standing within the CN community that he thinks he deserves and is getting screwed out of, then I will most assuredly denounce him.

Worst part is, I could have been a total ass about the Grand Give given who started it, but I wasn't.

Yes, Rush, because these chuckleheads have been screwing with me for eternity. It kind of gets to you after a while. They !@#$ on you, acting like they're the Gods on Mount Olympus and you expect someone not to develop some sort of inferiority thing?

I. Equality
I assert a fundamental Hobbesian equality amongst all nation rulers. In the Leviathan, Thomas Hobbes asserts that there is no distinguishing characteristic amongst men because you can beat the strongest one through numbers or deceit. Joan of Arc was able to lead the hapless French army to several victories despite her just being a peasant girl. I may know more about politics and game mechanics than you do, but I am not inherently better than any of you. I just spent a lot of time learning about it.

II. Neuroplasticity
Our brains are able to be reconfigured to perform at higher capacities. This means if someone learns how to coordinate attacks, eventually, they'll be able to do it intuitively without instruction. TOP was mocked for never having fought, but by following the guides and extensive drilling they were able to do a lot of damage.

III. Good Will

People should generally adopt an easy-going attitude towards others, particularly those down on their luck. This doesn't apply if the other parties are vainglorious.

IV. Truthfulness
Nation rulers should try not to dance around issues or make things up. Being a straight shooter as often as possible is the best way to ensure you do not end up in contradictions or having stances that come back to haunt you in the future.

This is not uninteresting and I mostly agree with your stances, but I find it overall a bit random and confusing.
I and II seem to be about "human" potential to do (regardless of the action to be good/bad/wise/etc.) and III is about ethics (I guess?)
They're all quite wide in scope, anyway, which makes them clash with IV - this last looking quite like a narrow-scoped hint in the "political wisdom" area (I couldn't say if mostly moralist or utilitarian).

Honestly, I don't get where are you going with these, Roq: if possible please explain.
If I were you I wouldn't waste my time with people that are attacking/commenting on you instead of addressing what you posted, anyway.

Okay, well, IV is mostly something I've been trying to push for a while since there's a lot of doubletalk and when the light gets shed on it, people look stupid after trying to cover something up. I know it's "politics," but I believe it has become more harmful than good.

The worst part is, you believe you are a god in the game. Even if you were an ass about giving to a charity, it would only harm DWB and not anyone in this realm.

At least the CN grand give would lead to more contributions to charity while Roq's statement of helping homeless doesn't do anything. Even if both were PR (I don't think either were fyi) related, the latter would at least help society while the other would not in the slightest.

Lol. Whatever dude, you contradict yourself.

Anyway, the point was about messing with the OOC/IC line. That's really all I had to say, so you can argue with someone else about this matter.

I meant the latter in the comment I quoted, thus being the grand give. But ok, sure.

Actually, I prefer to think of myself as dynamite like the Ecce Homo thing. It's more fitting.

They might think I think I'm inherently better. That was the point of it. I don't. If I assert a fundamental equality, how can I think I'm better? Seriously.

I already outlined my actual feelings on TOP before. If TOP hadn't treatied MK, I'd love them a lot more. One of my biggest regrets is ever helping MK with that. I wish I hadn't.
This is more of a general question for my curiosity than anything and not a "I hate you Roq" kind of questioning.

We're you no longer as high on us after we treatyed MK? If so, why? We use to extensively talk about the "Dark Paradox" before our relations with MK was strong enough for a treaty and before TOP-Umbrella were able to put alot of the past between us. Our goal was a TOP-Umbrella-MK bloc before Doomhouse was created (:GOONS: GOONS :GOONS:). We actually offered you (Umbrella) the treaty before MK but you weren't able to due to because of the objections of Sparta/MHA (possibly other reasons to) so I guess what I'm asking is why did we go down in your eyes with the treaty?
