1.
Another epic NPO fail right here.
Right, because that was bawwing. If you actually read the post you are complaining about, you would see that it is a light-hearted jab at the concept of 'the New Hegemony'. Your bitterness is showing, buddy.
 2.
Well at least Unilaterally Pansy Nubsauces didn't actually change colors to try and be even more of a "chaste" catholic schoolgirl with the ever trustworthy Optional Defense Network. I hope there was space for Jesus when Invicta hiked up its cute little red skirt for Pacifica Haf UPN may be a horrible alliance but it holds a special place in my heart for proving time and time again that recruiting contests bring in [s]quality[/s] members.
With posts like these, it's no wonder you're in TORN. Well done on upholding their stringent quality standards. With the collapse of the purple structures, is it any big surprise Invicta wanted to move, to both be closer to their friends, and get out of the mess of purple politics? And no, there's never space for Jesus.
 3.
No one is going to challenge it and no drama will ensue. Guaranteed.
I'm sure GATO and NSO feel a lot more secure now that they have a Batallion Guarantee(tm) that it won't be challenged. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm getting echoes of TOLWYN over here. CHALLENGING THE BROWN TRADE PARTNER IDEA IS BANNED. However, good luck to GATO and NSO with this venture, I hope it works out well for you guys.
 4.
Thats the funniest of all of this. NOBODY liked the NPO doctrine but not a single person has come in and said THAT DAMN CTC,ITS TERRIBLE AND RUINING EVERYTHING ...rabble
Funny how perceptions change when the big bad NPO does things, eh? Though, amusingly, most people don't even realise there is a difference between the Revenge and Moldavi doctrines, much less what that difference is. You would think, with the way everyone got all up in arms about it, that they would make sure they knew what they were talking about. The Revenge Doctrine infringes on alliance sovereignty no more than any standard protectorate agreement. I would like to see the raiding alliances begin crusading against those too.
 5.
I was one of the few who wasn't entirely opposed to renewed relations with Legion. I don't hate them; they don't seem like bad people. In fact, some of them are pretty kind folks. The alliance as a whole does kind of suck though. That's NPO and their !@#$@#$ viceroys for you.
ITT: ODN claims GATO sucks. They had one too, you know. Also, you seem slightly bitter towards us. Perhaps you and ShinRa could start a club, as I remember you were a big fan.
 6.
This coming from an alliance that preyed on alliances is hilarious.
Attacking someone purely for material gain is a bit different to attacking alliances for transgressions they committed. But I generally like GOONS, and don't particularly want to engage in a big argument over it, so lets just leave it at that and get back to picking on Fernando.
 7.
No there have been more alliances than just AcTi and The Privateers following this new standard. This is a nation simulation game, norms are constructed much quicker than the real world. Now continue being upset that AcTi actually contributed to CN standards
This seems like a ridiculous tangent to be taking in someone's DoE, so I'll post this and leave it at that. Examples would do much more to prove your point that you crying 'NO IM RITE'. The only aliances I can think of off the top of my head that operate with the MO of few treaties is The Ninjas, FAN and paperless Gre (though you could say that two of those may very well have secret treaties). 5 alliances, when there are hundreds that populate this world, do not equal a new norm. If norms are 'constructed' more quickly here, why aren't more alliances doing it yet? The Ninja's have been around a while, and FAN announced their policy pretty soon after being given peace IIRC. Accusing someone of being upset about something when they quite obviously aren't is a remarkably horrible way to try and score a point. I was merely responding to your claims that few treaties is a new norm. It's not. And if it was, AcTi is far from the first to do it. Being smug about a non-existent accomplishment seems odd to me, though I guess they're the only accomplishments AcTi has. Good job there Batallion.
 8.
It's the new norm really. AcTi only maintains ONE inter-alliance tie at all times.
AcTi doing something does not a norm make. A norm is a standard or pattern regarded as generally acceptable by most people, and followed accordingly. Considering the amount of treaties floating around Bob, I find it hard to believe that few treaties are the new norm. (Also, iirc I'm pretty sure I've seen you say something else was a new norm recently, and you were wrong then too. Perhaps you should refresh your memory of the definition of norm.)
 9. Good luck guys, will be interesting to see how the 'no inter-alliance ties' plays out for you. Hopefully it leads to people realizing they don't need a huge list of allies to survive and do what they want in this world. (Also, hooray, I think this is the first time I knew about something before it was publicly announced, though only by seeing a masking request using that AA )
 10.
You're right, I can't laugh at you. But, maybe you should rethink your treaty with LOLNSO. Unless of course you like 10 month long reparations which I'm sure LOLNSO will at some point drag you to. oh wait, they already did make you pay tons of reps for the RoK/LOLNSO war. Its basically what all that aid you sent amounts to. Does it make you happy that all that aid almost went to waste?
It's not my place to rethink any of our treaties. If it was, however, I certainly wouldn't be ditching NSO over this. Dopp screwed up, yes, but he is not in government, and both he and NSO were prepared to work with GOONS to reach a resolution. Trying to scare me with implications of Karma 2.0 is pretty pointless, I was in the 1K+ tech reps group the first time round. We survived it quite well last time. They didn't make us do anything. Personally I'm quite happy to send them aid, nothing like spreading some dongs around to help a brother in need. Money means little to me, I have quite a decent stockpile for my size. Jasmine may have been less than pleased though.
 11.
LOLNSO.
You have completely convinced me that NSO is a horrible alliance with this brilliant line of reasoning, well done sir. But wait, methinks this may be a double edged sword. Let me see here...LOLFERNANDO12. Haha, how do you like that? I can only hope no one comes in and says LOLWC, I'm not sure I could take such a hefty toll on my ego.
 12.
So the moral of what I say is - we are all members of the species Home sapiens (I think). That's all that really matters.
But if we're all just basically homo's, can't we all just get along? (E: Thought I should point out this is a quote from a TV show, so blame Thornton Reed. Also your typo kinda screwed up my delivery )
 13.
I did Though in my defense I could totally see someone saying exactly what he said without a shred of irony.
Yeah that is true, it wouldn't surprise me either.
 14.
Hm perhaps because heteros aren't openly discriminated against, beaten, bullied, killed, don't have laws passed specifically to keep them down in society, and don't have groups formed solely to hate heterosexuals? Just a thought. Also loving all the "this is stupid" and "this is irrelevant" yes who cares about bigotry as long as it doesn't apply to me
I think you just completely missed the point Vlad was making with his post. Though I'm not sure how your post was a response to what he said, no matter how you took it. Also, and people say Vlad doesn't have a sense of humour.
 15.
I raided some nations lol. I'm told I have to go to the academy and be an initiate for a month. I said no. I told them it wouldn't end well if they just didn't let my 2 raids go. They didn't listen. I told them my raids were no big deal, they said rules are rules and I had to be punished. The same arguments NSO are making here is what I was saying earlier about my raids on nations. NSO, when I say let it go I mean let it go
Not sure what you're trying to prove with this, any alliance would have disciplined you for breaking the rules. If it was me I would have attacked you when you refused to go back to the academy. That you think employing the 'too cool for school' technique in this situation is a good response to all that NSO has done for you just shows what a piece of #@%! you are.
 16.
+1 for adding Laserwolf. +2 for losing Omni.
I agree with this man. Congratulations GATO.
 17. Well, Switzerland is a good example of IRL neutrality, so I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed. That said, I don't think that neutrals should be afforded any special privileges simply because they profess neutrality. If you have a reason and the will to go to war against them, do it. They have chosen to not engage in the mutual security arrangements that abound in CN, and while that is a legitimate choice, it can put them at a grave disadvantage in a war situation. I've always thought that neutrals should go the GUARD route, and form a bloc. It gives them the added security of allies, plus the soft power benefits of neutrality (and yes, I realise that GUARD was made up of 'independent' alliances and was designed to be an 'independent' bloc. I mean in terms of a mutual defense bloc with no outside ties to draw them into war. Because I don't think that neutral alliances banding together to protect each others sovereignty and neutrality constitutes a breach of neutrality on the part of the individual alliances if the bloc is committed to non-involvement in wider CN politics).
 18.
May we all stop clapping at the ringing of the bell?
No, you may never stop clapping :colbert:
 19.
Here's my olive branch. I don't need to tell you where to stick it do I?
Settle petal, it's ok, we're just celebrating our formative revolution. No need to rage in our announcement for some unknown reason. Just have a cup of tea, and ponder the glories of the next 7 years of Pacifica.
 20. Glory to the Cult, may you rid the world of all those He deems unworthy.
 21. A noble cause, though I think Sparta is beyond help. Have fun mang.
 22.
Yeah because he actually slipped into peace mode right?
Yeah because I totally said that he did right? Posting nonsense that does nothing to respond to what was said doesn't make you look cool or witty, it just confirms your lack of the old grey matter. Anyway, by tech raiding and ruining a stagger you are giving the rogue to opportunity to hit peace mode. How you are trying to claim the opposite is beyond me. Yes we have managed to keep him out after you and yours ruined the last two staggers, that we have done so is due to the readiness of our members, not because he didn't have the opportunity to hit peace.
 23. You know it.
 24.
How convenient... you can only vote Sparta down, and you can only vote NPO and TOP up. Nah, this poll isn't hugely biased at all; you know exactly what you're talking about.
I don't think anyone could objectively claim that Sparta is the best military alliance, nor that TOP or Pacifica are the worst.
 25.
(WorldConqueror -- [OOC?] it is not slot filling if they actually attack, you know.)
I realise that, which is why I said it amounts to it. Because no matter the reasoning behind it, if you are taking a slot on a rogue but not doing full attacks, you are saving them from an attacker from the alliance they rogued on, and thus are materially aiding their war against the alliance they attacked by slowing the rate at which they lose tech and infra. So no, it's not slot filling in the strict sense of the term, but it basically amounts to the same thing.
