If that were true, I'd probably be fine with Polar now. The entire problem with Polar is that you guys spend all your time protecting idiots who are hiding from justice.

MI6 admission and fulfillment of peace terms
Haflinger replied to Partisan's topic in Alliance Announcements (IC)
I'm not convinced there remains a large group of intelligent nation leaders to be found here. (I'm not even convinced there ever was one.) There certainly are sizable groups of experienced and active people around, but those two attributes do not imply the third. If you mean Voodoo Nova, it's been a number of years since I talked to him, but back in the day he was ... well quite a lot smarter than Chim at least. I know, low bar lol. -
MI6 admission and fulfillment of peace terms
Haflinger replied to Partisan's topic in Alliance Announcements (IC)
The trouble with saying that is that you imply that Chim's the dumbest one around here. -
The irony of this statement coming from you is astonishing. I don't think you even realize what a parody of yourself you have become.

The Treaty at the End of the Universe
Haflinger replied to jalap's topic in Alliance Announcements (IC)
I like the treaty title, but you could've done more with the theme. -
Hey, I recognize some of those names. Good luck.

To be fair to Caustic, he probably just doesn't understand the comic.

In Doomhouse-NPO, it was NPO allies who paid reps.
-
Indeed; it's just another example of your vendetta against every alliance with ex-GOONS in its gov.

Grub has never let his grudges stand in the way of treaty arrangements that he considers to be useful.

Sorry, stopped reading there. Those six words coming from you obviously taint the entire post as fiction.

MI6 admission and fulfillment of peace terms

Because Chim isn't the brightest bulb in the pack. -
You'd be surprised. There's a reason Invicta went that war without being countered by anyone while significantly outdamaging MK, and it was to avoid counters.
-
Sort of. They have 30 war mode nations and 25 active wars on the AA. Several of the remaining war mode nations are three weeks or more inactive. So, this thread seems pretty natural.

Nightclub Overflowing: An Upgrade
Haflinger replied to Alex0827a's topic in Alliance Announcements (IC)
Apparently our alliance is now inspiring treaty themes in other places. -
Captain Enema is TBM, and he's never really made a secret of that fact.

I've agreed with Canik more than once in the past, but I have to say Canik - you're wrong about Boris. You are better than he was.

Imperium Decree regarding Sengoku
Haflinger replied to The Zigur's topic in Alliance Announcements (IC)
We do not have an official policy stating that our members are not free to join Sengoku should they so wish. You're quoting two posts indicating that he doesn't like you. Fine. I mean, you know who I am; I've had posts that were much worse than either of those directed at me. Doesn't bother me, it's what people actually do that matters. And if he did join an alliance at war with yours, well, that's just a part of alliance warfare - he did join us in order to help us fight, you know. We didn't ask him for detailed reasons; as far as I'm concerned, anyone who wants to help my alliance fight a war, especially when we're facing difficult odds, is going to be welcome. Although it would be the height of stupidity if NG or Polar decided to attack Sengoku, who is allied to both of them, in order to enforce the term restricting his alliance movement, so maybe his threat to apply to Sengoku can be taken seriously after all. Thing is, all the things in his quotes are normal decisions that nation leaders make all the time in this world. I know during my time at Invicta we had people join who just wanted to nuke MK, and picked Invicta as being a likely spot for that to happen. You're the one who started bringing up individual warchest figures and comparing him to The Rebel, a guy who has gone rogue a time or three in his day. -

He got mad at you for calling him a barbarian. You then proceeded to try to bait him into roguing you, knowing perfectly well that should he decide to do that now that your alliance won't be fighting him. We have free speech here in Last Call. That's been a longstanding policy of mine whenever I've been in government of an alliance. Dev isn't gov, but he's allowed to speak his mind. If you have a problem with something he says and think he's threatening your alliance, the appropriate thing to do - as an alliance leader - is to contact our government. Of course, you didn't do that because he wasn't threatening your alliance. Morphine, the terms are different for Kashmir and Last Call. For example, Kashmir members are allowed to go off and join new alliances, like VG. Dev isn't. -

You're the one trying to bait him into violating the terms you know he's under. It won't work. -
I mostly opposed you ingame, but the game honestly needs more people like you who don't take this mess so very seriously. Too many people here have forgotten it's a game.

Devialance is a member of Last Call, and as such is not allowed to go off starting wars on his own. We don't take threats to our members very kindly though. You need to watch your mouth a bit more closely there Junka. -
It's been a long time but hi Canik. Good to see you in charge
