The reasons why people don't take NG's apology here very seriously are they: a) Know NG's history of OOC attacks b) Noticed that Dane0 is still an alliance manager in-game, an advisor, is masked as govt on NG's discord server, etc. His name has even been featured on treaties recently -- including that very thread. c) Noticed that NG members, including at least one NG govt member outside of Dane0 posted in direct proximity of the offending posts and did nothing to disagree or condemn his actions. Just as the NG tradition has always been, Dane0 will be proclaimed not a government member but retain all the privileges that can be expected of a government member down to even signing treaties. It's frankly despicable that this continues to go on and a few paragraphs of text don't cut it. NG has driven someone away from enjoyment and hurt them. And I doubt it ends here. I know that I'm probably going to be leaving this world very soon because I don't want to be targeted. NG already clearly considers me an enemy or antagonistic force against them. What they did to JA -- a former friend? I expect they would show much less mercy to someone they have barely spoken to. And to me, that isn't worth it. Politics be damned.

I agree but guess what? I didn't try to silence, gag or muzzle Caustic -- I didn't even break out the fuzzy cuffs -- nor did I say his opinion was an FA decision. [It's literally his name people] Of course I do, and I'm going to say it's not classy when I want because that's what you ask for when you say you want independent thinkers. It'd be nice if your group of independent thinkers could independently read what I said and take it as face value instead of ascribing some politically correct agenda behind it and circlejerking about all these wild things I've said about Caustic here. I fully expect another few posts to refer to how I have put him against the wall or sent him to the gallows -- how I plot in the shadows to assail his poor soul for saying he had bad form in a forum post! I can't tell if it's bad faith or just general ignorance. You quoted my post -- so read it yourself. You don't need to white knight about free speech and defend Caustic's honor, because frankly my statement was as pH neutral as tap water and he's a big enough man that'd he'd come at me in DMs if he was pissed about me calling his form poor. Frankly, I think he doesn't care half as much as the rest of you since he has generally seemed to be pretty literate. I'm sure he is enjoying me getting riled up by all the bad faith attacks though. This is my last word on this because I'm getting annoyed by the baiting.

I think I've been pretty consistent on the issue; ultimately, it wasn't my call, but I did agree with the logic at the time, especially considering I did not want to turn over private logs of my own chats. For my part, I wasn't even around during the writing or posting of the declaration of war. I think in this instance, posting logs of whatever spying or what have you on the OWF would be unnecessary litigation, but I think knowing what was happening at all would be somewhat useful for everyone at large. For the other readers not involved in this: There has been some drama, some OOC, some IC, that is the cause of the issue here. Both parties are working to resolve it and it doesn't seem to be sparking a conflict. In retrospect, for what it's worth, I don't expect I'll be involved in a DoW without posting logs ever again -- live and learn! I'd say that I wasn't beating NG over their head at all here though, and I'm not sure how you got that impression from me. Additionally, Thrash and Stewie have both been receptive and informative in their conversations with me. Neither has seemed to feel personally attacked by me and both have shown sufficient grace that befits their respective stations. It improved my opinion of the both of them. My post in this thread was meant to elucidate some of this situation since like most things in CN, it is being broadly misrepresented everywhere. There is always some form of hypocrisy present in this world and if I am one too, then perhaps it would be wise for you to follow your proclaimed faith and not point at the specks in my eyes, but to turn inwards. We are, after all, all sinners and should strive to be better individuals, living in truth and standing against injustice. If I have wronged you in some way, approach me via direct message so that I may ask for your forgiveness. I do not see the need for a hostile manner when NG has nicely responded to me and addressed my concerns. In this particular case, I was genuinely unsure of who was just, unjust and what was true or not. I've taken a cue from the posters of the past in addressing my concerns here -- in fact I was inspired by the direct confrontation with KoRT's racist, absolutely trash-tier member -- since I have noted that this tends to be a more direct way to gather the information sought out, even if it sometimes does result in people attempting to mock me for caring. Taking Krabs advice, I have, as of about two hours ago, put myself into contact with Stewie to learn more about the truth of the situation. We've talked about it at length and I'm satisfied with most of his answers. Additionally, I spoke to the Emperor of Polaris about what I perceived as a Non Grata move in gearing up toward war against Boognish, and am satisfied that their reasons for cancelling Kashmir are their own and they were not put into any politically precarious position by their ally. It is my perception that both sides of the divide were firmly of the belief that the other was gearing up against them and put their own alliances on high alert. Probably, much of this situation is overblown. Definitely, it is always worth it to be inquisitive when you're uncertain rather than speculate ad nauseam. I hope that though the alliances relations may be damaged that the friendships will one day be mended. On the topic of this thread, Congratulations to TIE and Non Grata on their treaty!

Maybe that's true, maybe not. I'm hoping NG govt (which might include you?) can enlighten us all about what happened. I can only speculate from what I've heard discussed in back channels and tally the events that have elapsed since then. Stuff like the Kashmir-Polaris cancellation and NG approaching CLAWS for a treaty that would only be in effect against Boognish alliances jump out to me as some of the events that have confused me about this overall situation. At first I just thought "Oh, trouble in paradise", but it seems like whatever is going on is pretty complicated! I welcome you to let the world know what's going on. It's good to engage the broader community -- to dispel rumors -- even if it is just a bunch of senseless drama.

Was there no non-aggression provision in Boognish? Odd war is odd.

Well if you have no qualms dane0 you should tell the peanut gallery what's going on. I can't see how it would hurt to let people know so they can make their own judgments of the character of the alliances involved. There was a big fuss earlier this year about not sharing the drama of Bob with everyone, so it might be a good time to lead by doing. Based on the in-game info it looks like TIE was hit for harboring a spy or some other espionage. Is that correct? From what I gather of the NG - COBRA breakup, since then Non Grata had been moving pretty swiftly to engage Boognish. Could it be that was also a factor and TIE just jumped ship to avoid a war with their friends in Non Grata? Maybe I'm misreading the situation though. Please set the record straight if you can!

I've noticed that we haven't added the War of Nurture, Bicycle War or several other thingie mabobbers onto the wiki for a while, and I was wondering if it makes sense for some of the people who edit the wiki to come together on a server and knock some of these pages out of the park. I'm not really wiki-knowledgable (I only have edited existing pages) -- but I'd definitely be willing to join the collective to help if someone can give me some tips. I know that some alliances (NPO, VE, FTW) (Smitty ❤️ )have active wiki editors, but maybe there are also others out there who would be willing to come together on a discord server or something like that so that we don't allow this part of our community to fall completely into irrelevance.

When Hime Themis is pissing on the reputation of my ally from within I will hold them to the same standard. In this thread you've gone out of your way to personally attack and highlight members of the community you disagree with OOC. Your inability to navigate these lines is perhaps the least offensive of your grievances, but it is in its own right, an indication of the worth of your muzzling. This is an IC board and the IC discussion regarding this cancellation is seemingly YOUR behavior. Drop the deflections and focus on your own conduct. It is reprehensible and/or the worst trollbaiting act of the year. I know Ningal does not speak for KoRT, but the lack of direct condemnation for the discussion of Ningal in this thread is undignified and enabling behavior. I am sure some of this has to do with RT's strong belief in individual autonomy but for the broader foreign affairs community this is a line in the sand. I urge KoRT's leadership to rebuke Ningal.

Ningal, your little temper tantrums along with promotion of fascistic OOC Ideals has already and will continue to have IC repercussions. Honestly if you're not removed, my own alliance will move to cancel on KoRT because, as this thread so clearly demonstrates, you are a petulant and toxic character that poisons the well of your alliance's reputation and the overall discourse of alliance affairs. The General Assembly condemns such behavior. My alliance opposes all forms of harassment and the promotion of any IC (or OOC) race above others crosses that line. I hope my allies in KoRT act quickly to cast you into the fire -- and I certainly don't blame CCC for cancelling if you were the reason.
