1. I just checked Legion and saw they went mass hippy just after you attacked. Not only a few of them but their entire top 80. So I guess they will attack after 5 or 6 days?
2. I think Sparta did realize that this wasn't going to be an easy battle. Their DOW took some courage. You should take a look at the Sparta's treaties list before you jump to conclusions though. The ones who will get slaughtered aren't Sparta.
3. Good luck CCC Could you do me a favor and hit mine nation too? I am in nuke anarchy can't declare
4. We will have some surprises in store for you
5. Yeah it was quite epic. Probably best war performance ever. I am fairly confident they would have won it if Polar didn't switch sides. Remember Polar switching sides also caused alliances like CCC, 1tf, Nueva Vida, STA, Genesis, NoR, DT to switch side. While alliances like UINE, TLW, TKTB, GLOF, ARES, TCU and Carpe diem decided to stay out of the remaining of the war after the peace. This freed up parts of SF, FOK, UmB, PC, stickmen, IAA, LOSS, Nemesis to take on the TOP side in TOP CNG. The attack gave me a lot of problems though and forced FOK in one of the most difficult decisions in it's history. I am glad that !@#$ is over because sawing how FOK and TOP relations deteriorated caused me stress for the first time on planet BOB.
6. I think you mean wonders Also I think most military alliances have those check ins every month. You guys are certainly one of the stronger AA's out there pound for pound.
7.
Heh heh, I can sympathize. They can work, but people seem determined to ruin all the ones we have. Purple, black, orange, white, aqua, all of these (and probably more I'm forgetting) once had at least some form of working sphere politics, but...have fallen into disrepair by mutual lack of effort in past years. Hell, I'm surprised I remembered Aqua ICE.
Don't you thinkg the large list of color ODP blocs failing proves you otherwise ? ICE, OUT, PEACE, NOIR all failed. Economical blocs without a ODP might although they don't really impact the game.
8.
Speaking as the person who approached TGE, INT and the LSF I can state quite categorically that we did not seek 'permission' from anyone. We were merely giving notice. If someone had said "You reform and it will mean war" then we would have held off on our reformation until a protector was found. Instead, we did not seek out a protector until it became clear that The International -- whose OPSEC was certainly lacking at the time -- began conspiring against us. Very soon after that, Comrade Craig (he was in INT's government at the time, but I'm not sure of his title) looked me up on IRC and congratulated me on our 'excellent timing' or something like that. But as our Kronprinz has pointed out, this is irrelevant to the matter at hand. I think we've made our objections quite well known, and I see no reason to continue a back-and-forth that serves no purpose.
Yeah you are right, sorry for bringing that up. We kinda interpreted it the wrong way I think because of the wording he used.
9. This situation kinda makes me think back to the OUT era. I remember FOK declaring war on NTO in defense of GOONS during the Unjust war. IRON and ODN were at the time pretty mad about it because it was against the spirit of OUT (orange unity ODP bloc) which FOK IRON and ODN were all part of. People need to realize that ODP color unity blocs don't work. It will be used as a strategic tool in wars, it was done before with OUT and will be done with any other color ODP block like NOIR. You don't pick allies because of their color you pick allies because you are good friends with them.
10.
I would also like to state that NoR, unlike a certain green alliance who shall remain unnamed (for the sake of not embarrassing them), did not reform under the terms and at the mercy of those who vanquished them. NoR reformed and allied with a close friend, NV. NoR did not go to TPF or anyone else for that matter to get permission to reform. NoR has been its own alliance since day one of its comeback.
You are wrong again. NoR (Chemhauser) came to us (FOK) and asked if we would be okay with NoR reforming. 11.
You guys really do love that line, don't you? Doesn't make it remotely true in the slightest, however. I was there, and aside from being invited to a channel and joining, neither Zog nor anyone else from NoR said a word.
This is not true. Thor (Nordreich militiary command) was also in #strategos and discussed several strategic concepts. Like how to deal with Pandora's hightier. RV lie in this thread #1
12. Congratz guys. Some solid alliances in this bloc
13. You guys have no treaties who force you to declare on PC. First bandwagon of the war? I am confused
14. Disappointing to see you guys ganging up on SCLB whose slots are almost full anyway. Especially after the fact that SLCB went all out in the fight against New Polar a year ago while ROK did nothing to help you guys out. But it doesn't surprise me it all after hearing you were planning to treaty Polar to get back at PC. Also working with you guys during Polar was horrible, most of you stayed in peacemode while the other alliance (my own included) did all the fighting. With that said, I can still somewhat understand you are honoring a treaty but the DOW and your behavior could have been way more tactful.
15. My nation http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=134818 BRING THE PAIN
16. AWESOME Lets get this started, my nation still 3 slots free http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=134818
17. o/ GOD you guys are one of my favorite alliances
18. This is disappointing, FOK has been fighting every conflict since the UJW on the same side as ROK and it's unfortunate that you guys are on a different side now. Personally I think it's not a good move and you just care to much about your reputation (you don't want to be seen as cowards on the OWF). When the NEW conflict came iFOK and PC were in a similar situation. They dealt with it in a better way I think, the war ended fast and friends weren't going to blow each other up. They were accused of being cowards by all of the OWF, and everyone called them out. The thing is iFOK and PC don't care about their reputation and that is something I like. We all know that iFOK and PC aren't cowards nor is ROK. ROK doesn't have to prove themselves and defend a crazy alliance like Polar, an action which might alienate some friends to ROK. It makes really no sense to defend Polar, they spied on your ally and you have already SF allies fighting on the other side. I can understand that you guys want to honor your defensive obligations at all times though. On the other hand I don't understand why you are allied with them in the first place. You don't have a single mutual ally and they have sided against Superfriends in most wars and even attacked your treatypartners in GOD and \m/. The Bipolar war started with NpO hitting your allies in \m/. I remember that war really well because we put FOK in a vulnerable position to help PC and your treaty partner \m/ out. With that said I want to wish you good luck in the war. Stay close with the rest of Superfriends, they are an awesome group of alliances and are great allies to have.
19.
Because they hit UINE nations that had left NpO over a month ago from an "outdated target list"
Sigh. As already stated we use a program that also shows old members to be the AA. This program can make these target lists from every alliance at any time. So during wartime you can track nations who switch AA. But before wartime you need to delete these nations. This was forgotten with one or two UINE nations.
20.
so when did you guys make the plans to attack NpO?
Yesterday, after VE presented us their issues with Polar. We have a program which automatically makes lists but it's sometimes keeps tracks of old members so you have to remove them, which apparently hasn't been done with this one nation. We will handle this with UINE gov.
21.
this doesnt make much sense, you had target lists of over 30 days old while this spying debacle is less then what was it? a week old? huh
Yeah it's a bug though. ex-members keep showing up in the targets-lists, even after I removed them. Oh well not everything can go well. I think our blitz was solid overall.
22.
I got to ask...why did FOK and that other alliance(iFOK) declare 3 wars on UINE nations with the reasoning being "orders".
Old target lists, my apologies
23.
I dont hate you, I feel sorry for you. First you dont fight when outnumbered & out gunned. Then you fight when you have the NS advantage. If you cant see any difference between the two there is no hope for your ability to understand the criticism surrounding these two wars. Anyway, I know you were totally opposed to the decision your government made in the NEW situation as you explained in private. So dont take this as a personal critisim.
If they have the NS advantage remains to be seen. And I can recall iFOK being outnumbered during the first part of Polar fightin STA, Polar and USN. In the second part they were fighting lots of alliances too. And in the NEW war they had allies on both sides.
