  1. The port of Dubrovnik, the military base of Tivat and the Podgorica airbase are confirmed to be gifted to the Great Lakes Republic.
  2. Private "Sounds reasonable enough, the port base of Bar and its military base would fit the needs of the Eastern Asian Imperium near the soon-to-be Albanian province of the Kingdom. I do ask that you send word of any improvements or upgrades you do towards either port or military base so we are well informed of its status and changes."
  3. Private Dragojev smiled at the Empress before nodding, "It should be once we have the matters of the military bases done, your majesty. Unless you prefer it to be left to bureaucrats to deal with, of course," he joked good naturedly.
  4. Private The Kralj would nod, "Indeed, I already do, your majesty," he replied with as he snapped his fingers, a dignitary silently handing him a folder. He took a minute to leaf through it as he looked for the peculiar paper in question first, "Ah, here we are." Dragojev took the piece of paper out and passed it towards the Empress, "I do believe that for the most part you'll find everything in order."
  5. Private Dragojev took back the piece of paper, quickly rereading it before placing it back in the folder. "I'll have a copy sent through encrypted channels towards the Alvonian government as soon as possible, Director. Outside of that, I do imagine that the port and military base that was leased to Alvonia is now considered official Alvonian territory for the duration of the lease, I highly recommend making the most out of it, Director," he replied before grinning widely.
  6. Private Dragojev nodded, "I'll simply skip the rise and falls of nations during the French's isolation then. As it stands, the Eastern Bloc reigns supreme generally over the whole of Europe. The bloc is compromised entirely out of Hungary-Slovakia; one of our northern neighbors, Belarus and Romania. Romania is the key to the Bloc's success, having treaties mainly to Carthage to secure its own self-interest with complete disregard to the rest of Europe. Carthage is as Carthage is and shouldn't really require much explanation outside that it finally shed the veneer of a kingdom and became a full blown Empire, seeking only its imperialistic self-interests." "I do imagine that I don't have to mention as to why Carthage and Romania are allied to begin with."
  7. Private Dragojev smiled once more, "Very true, Prime Minister. I do imagine that Alvonia has informed France of the current reality of Europe, yes? I ask because I do not wish to rehash things that the French already know of."
  8. Private Dražen smiled politely as he nodded, taking a sip of his drink, the whiskey going smoothly down his throat, "I do agree and in what way does Hungary see that we should formalize our relationship, Minister Kovach?" he asked as he motioned for his secretary who took a few seconds before bringing him a filled folder. The Councilor would take his time looking for a specific piece of paper within the folder while he waited for his deputy counterpart's response.
  9. Private "You raise good points and it shall be done as you requested, Queen Akinyi," he replied with before snapping his fingers in realization, "Now that we're discussing this, I do believe that it might be best to reword the original treaty between us two to better reflect the current situation between our two great countries. Seeing as Africa already has a good organization to protect itself, just rewriting it to be a non-chaining Mutual Defense Pact with the economical clauses would work unless the Queen sees a higher benefit to upgrade our pact to the highest treaty available between two states, of course," the Kralj elaborated.
  10. Private Dragojev smiled at the Director as he snapped his fingers, a dignitary of his quickly handing him a folder, whereupon he took out a piece of paper, quickly signing it before passing it towards the Director along with a pen. "I trust you'll find everything is in order, Director."
  11. Private "Fair enough, an explanation is due," Dragojev replied with before taking another sip of his drink, having expected the questions as he swallowed the calming beverage. "With regards to point two, the Romanian have all but admitted to preferring the Status Quo where they are essentially King, Queen in this case, within Europe while enjoying support from Carthage. A status quo that effectively diminishes European stability for the benefit of a few, mainly Romania and Carthage with the rest who are allied to either, a small minority of nations in Europe itself. In the distant past, the former incarnation of Yugoslavia fell due to interests working for those they perceived solely as their own, similar to Romania and Carthage, that is why we do not agree with Romania completely in self-interest. To my understanding, Constantinople was and still is a historically Greek city, having been the former capital of the Eastern Roman Empire of which was Greek in itself after the Western half fell," the Kralj took a second to let out a breath of air, "Knowing that the Romanians prefer a Status Quo that solely benefits them disturbs the people in Yugoslavia, thus we feel that the city of Constantinople should be returned to its rightful owners, the Greeks, being the current state of Sparta." "Do not get me wrong, your excellency. I am not one for subterfuge and intrigue and I'll honestly say as such. Much of the people in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia hold the belief that military alliances such as the ones that Romania holds simply for its own benefit should be for more stable relationships, such as the past Kingdom of Yugoslavia in the days of old had with the Hellenic Republic." "As to the reasons why we come to Spartans with this, the Kingdom feels that an imperialistic power that is not European is a threat to European Stability by the inherent nature of its imperialistic self."
  12. Private "If Alvonia wishes to slough off the perception that Romania loves brushing it as to the rest of its allies and Europe, it has to work hard to ensure that the dishonest paint it's coated in is to be shed so the real Alvonia can shine through," Dragojev replied before taking another sip of his drink, "I am not asking Alvonia to get on its knees and beg for mercy nor am I asking to kiss ass around the Eastern Bloc, I am asking for Alvonia to work hard to shed its incorrect perception mantled upon its shoulders by Romania. All good things are never easy, Director, and it will take hard work to ensure that the true Alvonia can finally shine through." The Kralj sighed as he rubbed his neck, "Promise me that at least, Director, and you shall have a mutual defense pact with the usual economic clauses to benefit our peoples and countries. That is my promise."
  13. Private The secretary of Dražen Zoric Cižek, the current Councilor for Yugoslavia's Foreign Affairs, would welcome the Deputy Minister quickly followed by the Councilor himself. "Welcome, welcome!" he exclaimed as he shook the hands of Deputy Minister Kovach with a wide smile on his face, "I sincerely hope the trip towards the Kingdom was a safe one," he said before smirking, "Should have informed us a bit earlier and we would have taken you on the customary tour given to all foreign dignitaries, Minister Kovach, but no matter, we are still glad that you are here," he said as he lead the foreign Deputy Minister towards his office. Councilor Cižek cleared his throat as he prepared a couple of drinks to make their impromptu meeting go smoother, a wry grin forming on his face as he saw the smooth whiskey pour into the glass, "Anything that you would prefer to drink, Minister Kovach?" he asked his fellow.
  14. Private Dragojev snorted, "That is because the Queen of Romania and I had a bit of a falling out, if you would. To make a long story short, we differ violently from each other on the key point of a united Europe. Romania seeks only what benefits Romania and to hell with the rest, while I believe in working towards a united Europe, capable of standing together against foreign powers but flexible enough to have internal clashes like the Americas have with their organization." The Kralj took a second to take a sip of his drink, letting it quench his thirst before he continued, "That being said, I do believe that it is in our best interests if we further the relationship between our two countries given that Romania has effectively written us off but before we do, we simply request that Alvonia's government extends an olive branch towards Hungary-Slovakia. It does no good to Yugoslavia having its two northern neighbors being at each others throats on a consistent basis, one who's blame falls on the shoulders of those involved, Director."
  15. Private Dragojev shook his head, "The Kingdom did not come here to ask one of our oldest allies to betray their allies, that much I believe we both know," he stated, knowing that two already knew but felt like actively saying so would at least help smooth things a bit. "I recognize that the two are allies but where would the Kingdom be if Carthage actively attacked us for our efforts at unifying Europe? We are amenable to diplomacy but so much can be done when interacting with an Imperialist power who seeks their benefit over all else." "With regards to protection in our own 'backyard' as you eloquently put it, I do believe that we can certainly discuss that with much merit and something concrete coming out of it. Taking into consideration the vast distance between our two countries, the Kingdom proposes the following: Offering a lease of a military base in Yugoslavian territory towards the good Republic, allowing the Republic to house soldiers, aircraft and naval-craft would be more than willing to offer a lease, 'housing' Republic soldiers, aircraft and naval-craft. I do imagine that this simple proposal would work to each other's favor as it increases Republic influence in the Med and adds to the benefit of protecting Yugoslavian territory should we be under military attack by an enemy power." "What say you, Queen Akinyi?"
  16. Private "Now that we're all acquainted, I feel the need to ask this question. Where do our loyalties lie?" asked Dragojev as he paced behind his chair, all eyes on the Sovereign. "That's the key question right now. One that I do not have an answer for from a select few," he replied with before standing directly behind his empty chair. "I know first of all how hard it is to answer a question regarding one's loyalties. I am Kralj, after all," he joked good naturedly to ease the slight tension that he felt in the room. "However, given the past and the current disorganization of the Roman Catholic Church and relatively non-structured religion of Sunni Islam, I still have to wonder where the loyalties lie. Within one's religion or to the country they belong and were born in?" he asked as he glanced at the Roman Catholic Archbishop and Acting President of the Sunni Islamic communities in Yugoslavia. "To that end, I propose the following..." [hr] Public Conservative concerns within Albania! Issue 10.Y3 April 20, 20XX News coming in from the former capital of Tirana that a reactionary group of Albanians sought to impede or prevent the integration of Albania into the kingdom, citing cultural and economic concerns. In response, the Kralj announced that Albania and any regions in dire need would receive needed pumps of funds and manpower to improve the economical situation in any region that needed or requested it. This, he was reported to state, would ensure that all regions would be relatively equal economically, thus leading to all regions enjoying the benefits of an improved economy and prevent emigration from the Kingdom due to financial concerns. (OOC: 3 of 7)
  17. Private Dragojev smirked for a second before grinning outright, "The Kingdom would be more than willing to 'house' part of the Japanese military, be it navy, airforce or ground forces in any of the numerous ports that we hold on the Adriatic, thus ensuring that Japan has rapid reaction and information regarding the on-goings within Europe. Once the Unity is achieved and goals are finally met, we can discuss the future of these 'housing' of Japanese military afterwards." "What do you say to the proposal, your excellency?"
  18. Private Dragojev frowned a bit, "A pity but we all have our duties, don't we?" he said before smiling politely at his fellow monarch. He coughed once, clearing his throat to make this as quick and to the point as he could, "As I'm sure you know, the Balkans have a current regional power using primarily non-Balkan foreign ties to remain in that position. I imagine I do not have to mention who exactly I am referring to, your excellency," he started before taking a sip of his drink, "The matter at hand is that Yugoslavia seeks to unify Europe to force the African influence currently possessing holdings on the mainland of Europe out and back to their own continent." "I also do not have to mention by name just who exactly is the primary aggressor of African influence on Europe."
  19. Private Dragojev would sigh before shaking his head, "No, your excellency, it's not. What I do find disturbing and completely non-assuring is that for all purposes Carthage wields the AL as a club against those who oppose it diplomatically. It disturbs me because they're an African nation who also have European holdings and for all intents and purposes seek to expand inward for their own benefit without a thought to European countries." "The matter at hand, your excellency, is that due to the Carthage's actions and seemingly unstoppable expansion, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia seeks to unify Europe to essentially force Carthage from Europe," the Kralj would say with all honesty he could muster, a tired smile on his face, "It has not been an easy task considering that Carthage has European allies to ensure their dominance over the rest."
  20. Private Upon the French delegate's arrival, he and his diplomatic entourage would be escorted all the way from the city limits of Beograd with diplomatic honors befitting a foreign dignitary within the Yugoslavian White City to the White Palace. Once all the standard procedures were met, they would be allowed entry into the Palace and being escorted to a conference room. Standing besides the conference room's plain looking but tasteful table, the Kralj of the Kingdom turned and smiled at the entourage, "It's a pleasure to meet you for the first time, Prime Minister," he greeted as he gestured to the table, hoping his guests would sit in order to get the meeting on track, "I hope you'll enjoy your stay within the famed White City of our kingdom."
  21. Private Dragojev chuckled before nodding at the Director, "To the point, just like Mr. Powers I see," he commented with good humour. "As I'm sure you know, the Balkans have a current regional power using primarily non-Balkan foreign ties to remain in that position. I imagine I do not have to mention who exactly I am referring to, Director," he started before taking a sip of his drink, "The matter at hand is that Yugoslavia seeks to unify Europe to force the African influence currently possessing holdings on the mainland of Europe out and back to their own continent." "I also do not have to mention by name just who exactly is the primary aggressor of African influence on Europe."
  22. Private Dragojev took his seat, taking a sip of his drink before placing it to the side, "It is not what Sparta can do for Yugoslavia, it is what Yugoslavia can do for Sparta, your excellency," he started, taking a second to clear his throat before the Serb noble continued. "As I'm sure you know, the Balkans have a current regional power using primarily non-Balkan foreign ties to remain in that position. I imagine I do not have to mention who exactly I am referring to, your excellency. The matter of the hand is that Yugoslavia seeks to unify Europe to force the African influence currently possessing holdings on the mainland of Europe out and back to their own continent. I also do not have to mention by name just who exactly is the primary aggressor of African influence on Europe." The Kralj rubbed his chin before gently grabbing his drink, taking another swill of the beverage, "In an effort to establish greater positive relations, the Kingdom is more than willing to lay down on ink a defense treaty along with economic clauses to ensure that both markets and business can thrive from the opened possibilities. In return, the Kingdom would fully support Sparta in retaking the city of Constantinople from Romanian hands when the time is right." "What say you, your excellency?"
  23. Public "The Kingdom wonders if the government of Belarus is simply ignoring everything that goes against their current and on-going narrative of erasing the Polish language from the Polish regions 'protected' by Belarus. The Kingdom sincerely must ask as to what reason the government of Belarus feels it has that it must stamp down on the Polish language, while inadvertently stamping down on Polish culture. Regardless of reasons, we urge once more to the government of Belarus to rethink their position on the matter if they sincerely wish to live in harmony with the Polish and prevent resentment from building up." Respectfully, HM Kralj Dragojev Belojevic
  24. Private Addressed To the Foreign Ministry of the Spartan nation, and her King, King Alexander Augustus Apostolos "We shall be arriving within Sparta's capital as fast as we can." Respectfully, Kralj Dragojev Belojevic [hr] The flight would be quick and uneventful, Dragojev and his entourage calmly filed out of the jet and went through the normal procedures one had to do in an airport before finally exiting. The Kralj would smile at the man wielding a sign with 'Kralj of Yugoslavia' scribbled on it, he and his party walked towards the Spartan official, short introductions before they were escorted to the convoy provided where they would be guided towards the Palace of the Spartan King.
  25. Private Addressed To the Foreign Ministry of the Spartan nation, and her King, King Alexander Augustus Apostolos "It is with great joy to be able to see the Greeks stand on their own after such a collapse, and we in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia are delighted to see our neighbors doing well once more. Both of our nations and its people share a long and storied history together, positive relations being the norm more so than negative ones. That being established, we simply request the opportunity to resume those relations and move forward as neighbors and brothers of our beloved Peninsula once more. To that end, I ask if it is acceptable to schedule a visit to your country and personally re-establish our ties. I shall await your reply." Respectfully, Kralj Dragojev Belojevic
