  1. Private Gor would lean back in his chair, his one and only aide swiftly approaching him. Whispered words were uttered into his ear as his aide gave him a piece of paper, the diplomat betrayed nothing as he read what was written. His task done, the aide stepped back and remained steadfast. Ready at the diplomat's orders as always. "I do appreciate the invitation and the welcome so far, Mr. Althaus," started Gor as he smiled politely at his counterpart, the smile not quite reaching his eyes. "And it is true that the Carpathians and the Balkans is where these assaults were stopped cold, the good people of the Kingdom will never deny that," he added before clearing his throat. "But that is where the narrative falls after. The Austro-Hungarian are effectively the same, just in a different coat to the eyes of most of the peoples in the Kingdom, a sentiment that won't go away by whim or honeyed words, Mr. Althaus. The South Slavic and Romanian peoples of the Balkans have been treated unfairly and cruelly under regional powers, regardless of their words, appearance or creed they follow." The Serb would put the piece of paper on the table, the contents of it easily seen. "And as this shows, the view that the people of the Kingdom hold is entirely with merit and good reason to be wary and cautious of other foreign powers." Gor was not smiling anymore, a blank facade now as he spoke to the diplomat. "That is not to say that we may not work on improving relations as they move but the Austro-Hungarian have a long way ahead of them should they sincerely wish to improve themselves in the eyes of the South Slavic peoples," he started once more, "With regards to the economic part, we are fully in agreement but like I said earlier, the Kingdom and its people are wary and with good reason to do so."
  2. Private Several years later Nebeski Sestara Mountain Military Complex, Maglić Mountain and Volujak Mountain, Kingdom of Yugoslavia The Nebeski Sestara Military Complex was located deep inside the Maglić Mountain and Volujak Mountains near the border between the Bosnian and Montenegrin provinces, twenty kilometers from the nearest settlement and that being the city of Foča. Power came from various sources alongside purposefully made wind farms nearby. Most food was grown nearby in small plots and harvested by members of the base to keep personnel and access to the site small, and also cheap. With most daily supplies being made on-site, no massive expenditures were needed only the regular pay of the soldiers and the purchase of new pieces of machinery or equipment. With the base conveniently located directly under a flight path, most needed supplies could be airdropped in without any foreign government knowing. Heavier supplies got shipped in either through old logging roads or a camouflaged airstrip at the base. With supposedly nothing interesting happening in Yugoslavia outside of public reconstruction, surely little attention would be given to this area from foreign spy satellites and with no disclosed research being done here, there was no reason to send spies to this area. Yugoslavian Rangers patrolled the area, officially to stop the growth of illicit activity as they were always wont to resurface during and after a war, but really to keep adventure seekers, tourists and everyone else in the public away from the most classified installation in the Kingdom. Internal security was handled by a combination of Jugoslovenska Vojska (JV) and Jugoslovenski Specijalna Operacija Snage Komanda (JUGOSOSKOM). The internals of the Nebeski Sestara Military Complex were designed for defensive positions against both internal and external threats of all natures. With the Kapija and Kapija control room, referred to as ‘Kapija level’, located twenty-five meters beneath dirt and limestone, and one hundred meters beneath solid rock and only accessible through two elevators and two service hatches, it was thought that no threat could easily move from inside the base to outside the base or vice versa. The numerous checkpoints; including over and between the surface road connecting the two sister bases, between the two separate parts of the complex were independently control on both sides with completely independent controls and weapon systems. With numerous weapon emplacements directed at the Kapija, the ZKK felt confident it could repel any attack. The best defensive system was actually the kapija itself. The Kapija, through translation of the associated Egyptian material, could only have matter go through one way at a time, and anything trying to enter a kapija from the wrong side, i.e entering an incoming wormhole, was toasted. The Kingdom's military saw an easy solution to an invasion problem; if hostile aliens were coming through the kapija, lay the Kapija flat. All incoming matter would enter and fall back into the kapija destroying it. This also had the benefit of having any incoming projectiles directed towards the roof and one hundred meters of solid Yugoslavian rock. The kapija was controlled through three massive super computers and adjusted the power and ‘dialing’ of the Zvezdana Kapija. With the base operational the first testing was planned for the only known address FF-0001-09, the same one that Razvodnik Loncar had seemingly gone through. The first activation would have no one going through the Kapija. It was only to see if it was possible to make it work once more. If it worked, the next stage was a planned team comprised of members from the Kingdom's military to corroborate the testimony from Razvodnik Loncar, to check the qualities of the Kapija on the other side and if information could be sent back and forth. [hr] Private K-day (September 7, 20XX) Nebeski Sestara Mountain Military Complex, Maglić Mountain and Volujak Mountain, Kingdom of Yugoslavia The members of Projekat Zvezdana Kapija waited in anticipation. No one knew how the Kapija worked, or even if it could be replicated after the trip of Razvodnik Loncar through it but everyone wanted to be there and hopefully see history be made. “Vodnik Vlasic,” Milenko Petrovic Božovic said as he and the rest of the Great Council alongside their Kralj stood within the Kapija control room, “If you would be so kind to start the kapija up.” “Yes sir!" she exclaimed before focusing on the P.A. system, "Attention defense teams, attention defense teams! Zvezdana Kapija full system test in ten seconds, weapons hot, weapons hot.” As one, multiple weapons emplacements were crewed and pointed towards the kapija. As power was given to the zvezdana kapija and with the computers working over-time the inner portion of the ring started to move, the glyphs circling underneath the chevrons. “Oznaka Čina na Rukavu Jedan activated and locked,” as the first chevron glowed before locking the first glyph into position. “Oznaka Čina na Rukavu Dva activated and locked.” “Oznaka Čina na Rukavu Tri activated and locked.” "Oznaka Čina na Rukavu Četiri activated and locked.” “Oznaka Čina na Rukavu Pet activated and locked.” “Oznaka Čina na Rukavu Šest activated and locked.” “Oznaka Čina na Rukavu Sedam activated and locked,” and as the seventh and final chevron of the address was locked into place a giant vortex of energy emitted from the kapija for several seconds. All the soldiers on Kapija level ducked out of surprise and fear of what the zvezdana kapija just did. “Zvezdana Kapija stable, Kapija system is activated,” Vodnik Vlasic announced as the kapija stabilized into a shimmering surface resembling quicksilver. “It’s a stable event horizon for a wormhole!" exclaimed Adrijana Temple in disbelief, the leading physicist on the team directed to study the Zvezdana Kapija, "Without any space time distortions outside of the kapija, Incredible..." “Proceed as planned, ensure that the kapija remains active for one hour to monitor the stability and to test for radiation, and other phenomenon. After that we will shut down the kapija by cutting power to it or trying what we think is the command to terminate,” Milenko ordered. As the Kapija remained active, various scientist came forward with devices on hand to study and measure whatever they thought prudent. At a little over thirty-seven minutes, an alarmed sounded “Sir!" exclaimed Poručnik Ateljevic as he stared intently at his computer terminal, "The Kapija appears to be preparing to shut itself down. I recommend that all personnel evac the kapija room,” he called out over his shoulder as Adrijana Temple stood behind the Poručnik, staring too at the data in front of the duo. The Councilor of Defense raised an eyebrow, glancing at his Kralj who nodded before delivering the order. “Defense teams, immediate evac of the kapija room! I repeat, immediate evac of the kapija room,” Vodnik Vlasic announced on the P.A. system as the defense teams hustled out of the Kapija room as blast doors closed. As the last soldier left the Kapija room the zvezdana kapija shut down with little fanfare and no adverse effects. “Kapija is off, repeat kapija is off, General Diković to Kapija control.” “What the hell happened, why did the kapija shut down?” Diković demanded as he entered the kapija control room. “No idea sir, perhaps wormholes cannot last for longer than….” Adrijana said as she checked the recorded time from her computer terminal, “thirty-eight minutes and thirteen point eight seconds," she answered finally before adding, "It could be a law of wormhole physics.” “Or it could be the kapija just naturally shutting down on its own timer,” came a voice from behind a bank of computers. “Who was that?” the general asked. “That would be me, sir, Aleks Ilic an engineer assigned to the complex. I think it has to do with how special M interacts with energy and the kapija's own internal, for lack of a better word, ‘software’.” “Special M?” the general asked. “Sorry sir. The material the kapija is compromised of, some type of metal, M, a high atomic number material with some very special properties. Ergo ‘Special M’," the engineer explained as he adjusted his glasses, "The material is amazing, it can significantly boost any energy given through a transformation of its own material, a strange type of previously unknown fission, it is incredibly strong and can act as both an electrical conductor and resistor in different situations.” “And you reached this conclusion how, Engineer Ilic?” “Well, in my own study of the kapija I realized that when it was powered up to the level it needed to sustain a wormhole," Aleks continued to explain, "Special M vibrates at a precise frequency and looking over the data collected, thirty-eight minutes and thirteen point eight seconds is exactly four billion, two hundred and ninety-four million, nine hundred and sixty-seven thousand, two hundred and ninety-six vibrations of the material," he revealed to the group within the command room. "It is the kapija's own internal clock, so to speak. We use the vibration of certain materials for time keeping and so did the group who built the kapija," he stated, laying down the point before he continued, "Since the kapija needed some type of fail safe point, it makes sense for it to be something easy that the kapija can reach. Another point for that is, its two to the power of thirty two vibrations or a great number to count to in binary, base four or hexadecimal.” “That is a nicely stated argument and could quite possibly be the answer but we have nothing to go on it outside of the fact that we have a maximum amount of time the kapija can remain open, that being thirty-eight minutes. Prepare the drone to go through and assemble the team to follow if the images we see are habitable,” the General stated before turning to salute his superiors. "Wise decision making, General," said the Sovereign of the Kingdom as he walked towards the glass, glancing down at the inactive kapija, "We now have a potential in advancing the interests of humanity if this is a success," he added before turning around and facing the rest of the command room “Mr. Ilic, two things," the Kralj started as he glanced at the engineer, "One, think of a better name for your metal than ‘Special M’ and two, you're now on the team for the expedition through the kapija. Meet tomorrow at o nine hundred hours in the briefing room. You need to meet the rest of ZK-1.”
  3. Private For the most part, Belojevic kept his silence while he was guided through the city. Admittedly, the city was beautiful. Well, what he was shown anyway. The Kralj knew that it was standard at the time to essentially showcase a capital's 'inherent' beauty, a notion that he simply disagreed with from his contemporaries. Thus, he kept his trap shut while being polite and enjoyed the scenery for what it was. The Serb noble did not have much experience with the north-eastern Slavs that were Russians, even back in his heyday. So this would be an exercise in learning of the Russians properly as well as creating a bond between Slavs that he hoped would be mutually beneficial. Overall, he believed that this meeting would end on a positive note, barring any sudden break of diplomatic propriety or a situation being sparked. And so the Yugoslavian King hoped for the best while he prepared for the worst before his tour finally reached the famed Winter Palace.
  4. Gor Markovic Cižek would be dispatched to Schönbrunn Palace to act in the Kralj of Yugoslavia's stead and would arrive by train to the meeting.
  5. Private In the heart of Beograd, the White City of the Serbs, Beli Dvor "Repeat what you've just said, General," deadpanned the Kralj of Yugoslavia, disbelief clearly written on his face as he cradled the grey phone against his ear. Listening to the General audibly gulp brought some form of sadistic enjoyment to the Sovereign, while silently hoping that this call was entirely fabricated in its entirety. "Er," oh so eloquently started the General of his armed ground forces, one Ljubia Diković, who was clearly completely out of his depth judging from his hesitant nature so far from the call. Dragojev could not really blame the man, anyone in his position would certainly be out of their depth if what his general said was true. Merely asking his General to repeat himself was a tactic to ensure that it was legitimate, as well as to let the absurdity of the situation finally sink in. The Kralj did not hear the General's words, letting them simply pass over him as he thought of the possible ramifications that it would affect to the world as a whole as well as his own Kingdom. He thanked the General for informing him of the development before dismissing him, putting the phone back in its cradle. Dragojev raised his hand and gently rubbed the bridge of his nose, this whole situation was absurd but so far it was his reality. His course of action planned, he rose from his seat as he left his office, barking orders in preparation for his impromptu trip to one of the municipalities of the Serbian region. The Kralj of Yugoslavia narrowed his eyes as he entered the armoured car, his thoughts running a mile per second but there were two things he knew for certain that he had to do. See the event for himself and talk with the either stupidly adventurous or unwittingly brave soldier who went through it, only to come back unharmed and yelling about monsters and mist. Only one way to find the truth of a mystery and it was to get to the bottom of it. [hr] Underneath a local farm around the City of Kula, Municipality of Kula, Kingdom of Yugoslavia "Just what exactly am I looking at?" asked the Sovereign of Yugoslavia as he stared at the device for a lack of better words as scientists examined to the best of their ability without going through it. The soldiers stationed in this part of the Kingdom had responded rapidly and cordoned the area while he was arriving, promise of payment from financial or territorial losses to the farmer had quickly silenced the matter but he knew well enough that the media would arrive and have an utter field day. At the least, they would all be far away from the device and be safe should things go sour. He certainly hoped it didn't as his soldiers began to erect a temporary building around the rough-shod entrance after having demolished the farmer's barn, the building itself would be sanitized as it could be and provide ample shelter to hide it from the public while his scientists kept working. The entrance had been expanded as best as it could and a rough stairway was in place so personnel could walk down relatively safely without tripping. He glanced at the ring, dark gray in appearance with nine chevrons and from a rough estimate it looked to be seven meters high and quite thick. Glyphs of strange symbols appeared to be built inside of an inner ring. The Kralj didn't know much about it but he could guess that the ring itself was heavy, noting to order respective vehicles for transport if needed. He shook his head and gazed to the General, "Razvodnik Loncar was the soldier who brazenly traversed through the device's portal, as he called it. Miraculously he was competent enough to return briefly to showcase that he was still alive and in one piece before swiftly going back through it. Less than half an hour later, he returned sprinting while screaming about monsters and mist before it seemingly shut down," reported General Diković as the Kralj nodded. "Where is Razvodnik Loncar?" he asked before the General barked an order, less than a minute later a demure man stood at attention in front of his Sovereign. "At ease, soldier. Now, tell me," started Dragojev as he looked over the Razvodnik, brown eyes staring back at the Kralj, "How are you feeling, son?" "I'd be lying if I said I was alright, my Kralj, but I'll be fine once I get some R&R," replied the slightly shaken man. "Now, my General says that you reported sightings of 'monsters and mists' after you returned from across this," trailed off the Sovereign for a few seconds, "...portal. Tell me, soldier, what exactly did you see?" It was a question that he would consider a curse and a blessing in the days to come. [hr] "$%&@," swore Dragojev under his breath as he entered the main command tent established in the farmer's land followed by his General and his Regent, Petar. "Alright, any word on the media yet?" he asked as he sat down at the head of the provided table. "The Media blackout is still in effect, although they are getting rowdy," answered his regent. "What exactly do we know about this portal?" "The specific size is not something that we know as of yet but the scientists estimate that a military convoy would be able to pass through with ease. Anything bigger than a truck is a no-go from their estimates." The Kralj took a few moments before letting out a sigh, "$%&@, this is not going to be easy to inform our allies about," he muttered as he ran a hand through his hair. "'Hello there, my dear Regina and Director Wilding, how's your day been so far? Oh mine, It's been dreadful, we now have a device creating a portal leading to god knows where in our backyard and its cutting into a good Serb's income'," snarked Dragojev before he started ranting. Petar snorted yet remained quiet, General Diković knowing well enough kept his silence as he tried desperately to not smirk or laugh while their Sovereign ranted. Dragojev swore one last time before turning his gaze towards the career soldier, "General, prepare transport to extract this 'device' into a more secure location and ensure that the good Serb who's land we're currently in is paid handsomely for his find, for I have a feeling that this device if it truly can be called that will revolutionize the world somehow," he ordered as the two men nodded. The General departed the command tent without a word, knowing well enough when he was dismissed and went to do exactly as ordered. "Are you sure of what you say, my Kralj?" "Considering that we have nothing but Vodnik Loncar's word to go by, I have no need to doubt my soldier nor his eyewitness. We have nothing else to go by, wild mass speculation will not help us except to replicate how to 'turn' this device back on, Petar."
  6. Private "How long has it been since the fall of the second Yugoslavia?" asked Dragojev as he gazed deeply into his drink, lost in the motions of the contents as his council kept silent, not really knowing the answer the question as their Sovereign frowned. "Exactly, the silence tells enough," he bemoaned, shaking his head before taking a sip of his lukewarm tea, the drink bitter going down. "No one really knows how long it has been since that incarnation fell and the former Athenian Federation took reigns of the area," he added before taking another pull of his drink. "But we are resilient, at the very least, so the exact date is of no consequence now. If we are to remain resilient, we need to tie the three main religions of our great country to the state and ensure their loyalty to the Kingdom alone," the Kralj stated as he placed his cup of tea to the side, gazing upon each single member of his current council. "Bring me the President of the Croatian Bishop's Conference, the current head of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the current Autocephalous Patriarch of Yugoslavia." [hr] Public The Kingdom of Yugoslavia to expand! The Kralj professes revival of Brotherhood and Unity within the Kingdom! Issue 10.Y1 March 18, 20XX The Kralj announced today that the former Brotherhood and Unity Highway will be expanded to tie in the remaining cities that compromise the great Kingdom. The cities of Sarajevo, Podgorica and Tirana were announced to be included in the Kingdom's primary highway. The inclusion of Tirana was a revelation to many of the intentions of the Kingdom's Sovereign and when asked upon the inclusion, he happily replied with the following: "The Albanian people have been many a brother and sister to the South Slavs and while we may have been at odds with each other throughout history, we stand on the precipice of a Greater Kingdom by formally including the Albanians into the fold. Yes, they may not be South Slavs but for all intents and purposes, they are our brothers and sisters in this land that we all call home." During the conference, he announced that the intent was merely to further protect and shield the Kingdom's non-Slavic brothers and sisters. The number of Albanians currently living in the kingdom outside of former Albania almost rivaling the Albanian lands, from what this illustrious paper was able to find and corroborate. (OOC: 1 of 7)

  9. To Natalia I, Empress of Russia, "Firstly, I, personally wish to send thanks for the heartfelt words. They certainly brought a smile to my face. That said, your words ring true as we are all Slavs in the end and it is our unity, heritage and culture that binds us together. The Kingdom will accept the gracious invitation and we shall travel towards the Winter Palace. Respond to what date in specific and we shall be there." Respectfully, Kralj Dragojev Belojevic To the Austo-Hungarian Empire "While the South Slav peoples may have been at odds in several points in time with the Austrians and Hungarians, we send thanks for the heartfelt condolences." Respectfully, Kralj Dragojev Belojevic To Pierre Laval, Ministre des Affaires étrangères, "The Kingdom wishes to assure the French Republic that the incident while regrettable, the blame for it cannot and does not fall on the shoulders of the good French people. We simply ask an additional thing on top of the former monarch's remains, and that is the identity of the good Frenchman who bravely struck down the assassin for capture. Aside from that, we wish and remain hopeful for a return to normality regarding relations between our two countries. May the French Republic live long and prosper in these coming times." Respectfully, Kralj Dragojev Belojevic To Sultan Sadik, Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, "While the Kingdom and its peoples may have been at odds or cruelly subjected under Turkish rule, we send thanks for the well wishes and prayers." Respectfully, Kralj Dragojev Belojevic To the Polish Governing Junta, "The Kingdom sends its thanks to the Polish for its recognition and we shall send a diplomatic envoy to establish our embassy in Warsaw, posthaste." Respectfully, Kralj Dragojev Belojevic

  12. The Kingdom of Yugoslavia expands its media assets and to begin decade-long kingdom-wide Telephonification project! Issue 1.Y March 18, 19XX For the past four days, intense discussion have occurred between the Kralj and his closest advisers, finally bearing fruit as they announced their purchase of the parent company of this illustrious newspaper, renaming it 'Politika AD Beograd', their purchase of Radio Beograd alongside their intent of establishing two companies under the Politika AD Beograd media conglomerate. One company would be the 'Jugoslovenski Radio-Servis', of which Radio Beograd would be the main Serbian region branch with other branches being established in the rest of the Kingdom's regions and would be in the local dialect. The other company would be the 'Jugoslavenska Novinska Agencija', of which this newspaper would be under under the new name of 'Glas Naroda' for the Serbian region, each region would have their own branch and in the local language. This move would be to ease the transfer of information and maintain the rich history that the South Slavic and Albanian peoples have with one another, the culture and language being the main ones to be preserved as the Kingdom moves in conjunction. To further ease communications between the branches, each main building the branch would be headquartered in would have an established phone line with a telephone room for breaking news that needed to be spread to the public. Alongside the purchase and creation of media assets, the Kralj also announced his intent of a decade-long project of immediately expanding the fledgling Yugoslav telecommunications network to make sure that every Yugoslavian household and business would have an established phone line. Ensuring that his citizens would have the highest level of communication each other available.

  16. Private "Indeed, a Yugoslav navy would be more of a boon to assist in the defense of the Balkans from outside forces alongside the Romanian navy, and we would most certainly welcome Romanian assistance in the creation of our navy," commented the Kralj as he smiled at the Regină, taking a moment to take another sip of his delicious tea. "Very true, some could say that it's been miraculous that Yugoslavia and Romania have managed to get by without issue and having nothing official stamped after all these months living as neighbors. To that, I say that it should come to an end and finally create a resolution to bind our two countries together as more, close allies and friends within the Balkans. What say you, dear Regină Maria?"
  17. KRALJ ALEKSANDAR I GUNNED DOWN! Issue 1E.Y Feb 7, 19XX Aleksandar was present in Marseilles to start a state visit to France, to strengthen the relationship between the French and Yugoslavs, slowly being driven with the French Foreign Minister Louis Barthou in a procession worthy the respect of our Kralj. Reports indicate that from the sidewalk a hooded gunman jumped out, shooting the dear Kralj thrice and the chauffeur and successfully assassinating the Kralj in a most heinous fashion. The gunman was cut down by a valiant mounted French Policeman before swiftly being apprehended before the mob could have its crazed vengeance. No word on whether the gunman is alive following his capture but it was confirmed by the French Government that the Kralj had died from the gunshot wounds he had received. The Kralj's body will be delivered as soon as possible by the French government. [hr] ROYAL PALACE BURNED DOWN! ROYAL FAMILY NOWHERE TO BE LOCATED! Issue 1EE.Y Feb 7, 19XX The Royal Palace located in the Royal Compound where the Royal House of Karađorđević lived was found to be bathed in intense flames, with all attempts to extinguish the inferno failing under the onslaught of the fiery blaze. Police, security and first responders were left in anguish as they did all they could, gaze and watch as the flames ate away the glorious Palace built, nary a decade had it existed before turning into a burnt out husk of its former glory. Following the assassination of our Kralj, the Royal Family is nowhere to be found. Our prayers are with the royal family, hoping that they are found safe and sound. [hr] ROYAL FAMILY SLAIN! Issue 2.Y Feb 12, 19XX It is an extremely sad day to report that the officials investigating the arson of the Royal Compound have finally divulged their current findings to the press, along with their findings pointing to the deaths of the entirety of the Royal House of Karađorđević. The charred remains found buried in the burnt out husk of the Royal Compound were able to be identified, most if not all of the staff working in the Compound alongside the Royal Family perished at the hands of his insidious fire. Alongside the depressing news, the police have stated that several cadavers had what appeared to be wound marks resembling slashes from a sword and will announce more when they finally finish their investigations. [hr] VMRO AND USTASHE BLAMED FOR MURDER OF THE ROYAL FAMILY BY RESURFACED SERB HOUSE, THE BELOJEVIĆ! Issue 3.Y Feb 19, 19XX In an astounding revelation that was called upon by the investigators, they had concluded that the arson, murders and assassination of the Royal House were all inter-connected. These allegations were confirmed by an absolute newcomer who claimed to be a true descendant and member of the ancient House of Belojević, named Dragojev. The documents and outright confession the Serb noble had gained from the gunman, now identified as Vlado Chernozemski, an infamous terrorist and member of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization. The terrorist was promptly escorted into the news conference in chains, claiming to all that he renounced his past ways, wanting an execution to redeem himself in the eyes of the Kingdom as he sobbed. It was then that the supposed noble embraced the terrorist in a hug, proclaiming that "The Kingdom is a family, we are all brothers and sisters in unity. Yes, we may bicker and disagree but we must not forget that we are still a family." Vlado Chernozemski seemed more shaken from the words of the Belojević before he was escorted back into the precinct. "Killings and killing in vengeance only serves to drive a vicious cycle of hatred, one that we should all endeavor to avoid by acting like a true family should. Thus, it is my official opinion that the known terrorist should not be executed but be allowed to serve his time in jail to redeem himself in the eyes of the Kingdom with the help of the actual Kingdom as we should be civilized enough to recognize as such," the Noble was reported to say before he continued on the topic of the supposed blame and where it lied for the heinous murders. "With regards to the VMRO and Ustashe. Yes, they are family and we should not kill our own brethren but sadly, reality does not allow such a thing when it comes to extremists and there are those who do not consider themselves part of our family, regardless of how much we may wish it to avoid unnecessary bloodshed," he stated as silence rapidly fell on the conference before he continued, "To survive as a proper nation, these two groups must be made an example of before they can further damage our unique family with their bigotry and hatred. It is one thing to attack in rage, anger or a perceived notion of vengeance, it is another for one to defend itself from a known threat," he stated before answering several questions on his legitimacy as being a proper noble and lineage, afterwards he stepped down to allow the investigators to quickly wrap up their findings from the documents provided by the Noble and the confession of Vlad Chernozemski. [hr] Several months would pass as a harsh military crackdown on strongholds of both the VMRO and Ustashe occurred throughout the Kingdom, ensuring that their relevance and influence would forevermore be minimal. A month later would pass before the world at large received the following declaration:
  18. I typically tend to listen to music heavily from Paradox games, be it from EU3 or EU4, Victoria 2 or Crusader Kings 2. With regards to specific nations, I would suggest looking for a track that might 'suit' a nation, and letting the music inspire your imagination as you think of suitable replies or threads. For example, for Yugoslavia I listen to the tracks of CK2's "Legacy of Rome", "The King's Crusade" and "The Byzantine Empire" and from EU3's "Emperor of these Lands", "East vs West" and "Battle of Damascus" and finally from Victoria 2, I tend to listen more to "For God and Queen".
  19. Private The Kralj nodded at her words, taking another sip of his tea and enjoying the taste of his tea. "And support you shall have more once the plans the Kingdom has with regards to its future navy is complete," Dragojev said with a smile, revealing one of the plans the Kingdom had in mind with regards to their military potential, "That said, your request of a production license of ALAS missiles is approved along with the 80 Sora 122 self-propelled howitzers. The Production license of the Sora howitzers could be provided to Romania should the dear Regină request it," he added before lightly blowing on his tea once more. "With regards to the Aromanians and Romanians, you have our word that their freedom, cultural and autonomous will be respected to the fullest extent," the Sovereign said before placing his cup of tea aside, "And indeed, cooperation within the Balkans will ensure peace and stability for everyone in the Peninsula."

  21. Private Dragojev chuckled as he took back the cup, the Kralj simply counting one sugar cube before adding it to the Regină's cup, slowly stirring the contents together before offering the cup of Darjeeling to his fellow Monarch. "Yugoslavia is faring well enough, a bit saddened that our odd neighbor to the southwest that was Albania collapsed but we'll be there to help them get back on their feet like we did last time," the Sovereign stated as he decided not to add anything to his tea before lightly blowing on it, "We sincerely hope you do not mind, my dear Regină, but as a precaution against any possible foreign interference, specifically non-Balkan and Spartan. The Kingdom feels that it must integrate Albania to remove any..." he trailed off for a second as he thought of a good word, "...'temptations' such players might get," he added as he raised his cup, taking a moment to enjoy the flowery aroma of the tea before taking a small sip. "The Kingdom would be more than happy and willing to have Romania observe the integration to ensure the safety of the Romanians living within former Albania should you choose to do so, Regină Maria."
  22. Private Dragojev smiled wider at the response, his concern assuaged as he let the Regină take her seat first before taking his seat. "The tea we are going to have is Darjeeling," the Kralj answered as grabbed the gift. "My dear Regină, simply by accepting the invitation and being here is appreciation I can see. That said, I do imagine I'll find it hard to enjoy the gift by myself so why don't we share it instead?" he asks the fellow Monarch as he smiles politely, setting the box down in the table between them. "I do thank you for letting me know of their well being, it's pleasing to hear that they're doing well within Romania," the Kralj informed as he gently cradled a cup before offering it to his fellow Monarch, being extremely mindful of the hot contents.
  23. Private "Greetings, my dear Regină. It is an immense honor and pleasure to have you visit our great city and palace," stated Dragojev as he bowed to the Romanian Monarch, giving her the due respect as a foreign sovereign and dignitary. The Kralj smiled politely at his fellow Monarch as he rose back to his full height. "I do hope that the trip was peaceful and calm, Regină Maria," he offered good naturedly as he swept an arm outwards, "Shall we go on ahead?" Dragojev asked her politely before leading the Sovereign duo towards the room where the meeting would occur. "I hope you don't mind me asking, my dear Regină, but how are the Serbs in the Romanian Banat?" he asked, a tinge of concern in the tone of his voice as they arrived, the maid inside preparing the tea for the two Monarchs before the Kralj dismissed her.
  24. Private "I'm afraid that the Kingdom must disagree with the notion that the Italian Peninsula must be solely within the purview of one country, even when the land was being annexed or attempted by the former Spartan state. The Kingdom borders the Italian Peninsula and we'll be frank, that having a non-European country effectively having soldiers on land bordering the Kingdom has klaxon alarms ringing within the minds of its citizens, as it should be for any country in our rather peculiar position," Dragojev stated before tapping the map of the Italian Peninsula, the portion of Sardinia and Corsica painted in their respective colors with the Cisalpine Republic represented and labelled in Cyrillic. "That said, we believe we can work on a compromise or task force of sorts with the Italian Peninsula to ensure the safety of the Italian citizenry along with having a frank discussion on what it is that both sides desire with regards to the Peninsula in question." "With regards to the Greek Peninsula, as it stands the Spartan nation is an entirely new concept and being, not allied to anyone and only existing primarily because the Kingdom does not believe in sins of the father as it were. While the name may be a bit 'iffy', the Kingdom must also disagree with the notion that Carthage should have exclusive rights to the Peninsula should the Spartan nation fall once more and anarchy reign when they are not allies to anyone. If that were the case, then each country in this world could claim such a thing for the entirety of the planet," he joked good-naturedly in an attempt to lessen any tension should they be present.
  25. Private A security guard leaned down and whispered into his ear before the Sovereign chuckled. "It would appear that the dear Regină has driven herself into our great city and palace," he said as he turned his gaze to his head of security, Adam Markovic Loncar, a blonde-haired Slovene who stood at attention. "Make sure that the Regină's automobile is secured and ensure personally that it remains that way throughout her stay," the Kralj ordered before dismissing his subject, Dragojev gazing out of the room's window as he wondered what would come out of this meeting.
