  1. Private Upon the Neapolitan delegate's arrival, the diplomatic entourage would be escorted all the way from the city limits of Beograd with diplomatic honors befitting a foreign dignitary within the Yugoslavian White City to the White Palace. Once all the standard and heightened procedures were met, they would be allowed entry into the Palace and being escorted to a conference room. Standing besides the conference room's plain looking but tasteful table, the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom turned and smiled politely at the entourage, "It's a pleasure to meet you for the first time," he greeted as he gestured to the table, hoping his guests would sit in order to get the meeting on track, "I hope you'll enjoy your stay within the famed White City of our kingdom."

Both of our nations and its people share a long and storied history together, positive relations being the norm more so than negative ones. 4. Private in the heart of Beograd, the White City of the Serbs, Beli Dvor Dragojev sighed as he gently laid back the phone onto its cradle, the tip of his digits briefly touching upon the grey casing. He had called ahead to his ally, Queen Catharine Victoria Akinyi the monarch of the Great Lakes Republic, to ensure that both delegations from the Kingdom and Carthage would have an adequate room prepared to stay in for the upcoming negotiations in a week's time along with the conference room to be used for the negotiations. Raising a hand, he rubbed the bridge of his nose as he thought on what might and might not be should the negotiations fail or succeed, the Sovereign knowing very well that he had to bide his time and ensure that his own Kingdom would be ready for whatever may happen. Kralj Dragojev Belojevic rose from his chair while nodding to his two friends and allies in this endeavor of his, Dražen Cižek and Milenko Božovic, "Inform the staff that we are to prepare for a flight in five day's time, we shall be in route towards our ally in Africa for this conference and I do not want any delays whatsoever," he ordered as Milenko nodded with a lop-sided smile. "You got it, boss," he said in return before departing from the Kralj's quaint office. "I do believe I don't have to tell you what is at stake, Dra', since it's quite obvious and clear as day to the point that a brain dead chimp can grasp it," said Dragojev as he approached his Councilor of Foreign Affairs who simply nodded, adopting a grim look. "Yes, doesn't take much to see it plain as day, Drago," answered Dražen before he continued, "Biding our time is the best option that will benefit the region in the long term." Dragojev frowned before nodding, "Good to see that we're on the same page, Dra'," he said as the two proceeded to leave his office, to prepare for the coming flight in six day's time. [hr] Nairobi, Great Lakes Republic Once the fifth day had passed, the Yugoslavian delegation would be en-route in late morning on a flight from the capital of the Kingdom to their ally's capital, Nairobi. The trip would take an entirety of eight hours with give or take a few minutes, taking most of the sixth day's with it. The Kralj had taken account the needed time for the trip and had planned accordingly, using the remnants of the sixth day to rest in the spacious rooms his ally had provided for the delegation, knowing that the coming day would be one for the history books.

  7. With the actions in Bucharest concluded and Romania stabilising itself, the old benefactor Yugoslavia had been invited for talks. While the capital had been liberated and was slowly becoming filled with government offices again, the Queen however preferred to meet the King of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes in one of her castles. Hunedoara castle, an old building with quite some history was located in Transilvania, had served as residence for Maria up to now and was also planned to host the meeting between the Yugoslavs and Romanians. The Queen did have quite a few matters she wanted to discuss... Hunedoara Castle

  9. KRALJ ALEKSANDAR I GUNNED DOWN! Issue 1E.Y Feb 7, 19XX Aleksandar was present in Marseilles to start a state visit to France, to strengthen the relationship between the French and Yugoslavs, slowly being driven with the French Foreign Minister Louis Barthou in a procession worthy the respect of our Kralj. Reports indicate that from the sidewalk a hooded gunman jumped out, shooting the dear Kralj thrice and the chauffeur and successfully assassinating the Kralj in a most heinous fashion. The gunman was cut down by a valiant mounted French Policeman before swiftly being apprehended before the mob could have its crazed vengeance. No word on whether the gunman is alive following his capture but it was confirmed by the French Government that the Kralj had died from the gunshot wounds he had received. The Kralj's body will be delivered as soon as possible by the French government. [hr] ROYAL PALACE BURNED DOWN! ROYAL FAMILY NOWHERE TO BE LOCATED! Issue 1EE.Y Feb 7, 19XX The Royal Palace located in the Royal Compound where the Royal House of Karađorđević lived was found to be bathed in intense flames, with all attempts to extinguish the inferno failing under the onslaught of the fiery blaze. Police, security and first responders were left in anguish as they did all they could, gaze and watch as the flames ate away the glorious Palace built, nary a decade had it existed before turning into a burnt out husk of its former glory. Following the assassination of our Kralj, the Royal Family is nowhere to be found. Our prayers are with the royal family, hoping that they are found safe and sound. [hr] ROYAL FAMILY SLAIN! Issue 2.Y Feb 12, 19XX It is an extremely sad day to report that the officials investigating the arson of the Royal Compound have finally divulged their current findings to the press, along with their findings pointing to the deaths of the entirety of the Royal House of Karađorđević. The charred remains found buried in the burnt out husk of the Royal Compound were able to be identified, most if not all of the staff working in the Compound alongside the Royal Family perished at the hands of his insidious fire. Alongside the depressing news, the police have stated that several cadavers had what appeared to be wound marks resembling slashes from a sword and will announce more when they finally finish their investigations. [hr] VMRO AND USTASHE BLAMED FOR MURDER OF THE ROYAL FAMILY BY RESURFACED SERB HOUSE, THE BELOJEVIĆ! Issue 3.Y Feb 19, 19XX In an astounding revelation that was called upon by the investigators, they had concluded that the arson, murders and assassination of the Royal House were all inter-connected. These allegations were confirmed by an absolute newcomer who claimed to be a true descendant and member of the ancient House of Belojević, named Dragojev. The documents and outright confession the Serb noble had gained from the gunman, now identified as Vlado Chernozemski, an infamous terrorist and member of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization. The terrorist was promptly escorted into the news conference in chains, claiming to all that he renounced his past ways, wanting an execution to redeem himself in the eyes of the Kingdom as he sobbed. It was then that the supposed noble embraced the terrorist in a hug, proclaiming that "The Kingdom is a family, we are all brothers and sisters in unity. Yes, we may bicker and disagree but we must not forget that we are still a family." Vlado Chernozemski seemed more shaken from the words of the Belojević before he was escorted back into the precinct. "Killings and killing in vengeance only serves to drive a vicious cycle of hatred, one that we should all endeavor to avoid by acting like a true family should. Thus, it is my official opinion that the known terrorist should not be executed but be allowed to serve his time in jail to redeem himself in the eyes of the Kingdom with the help of the actual Kingdom as we should be civilized enough to recognize as such," the Noble was reported to say before he continued on the topic of the supposed blame and where it lied for the heinous murders. "With regards to the VMRO and Ustashe. Yes, they are family and we should not kill our own brethren but sadly, reality does not allow such a thing when it comes to extremists and there are those who do not consider themselves part of our family, regardless of how much we may wish it to avoid unnecessary bloodshed," he stated as silence rapidly fell on the conference before he continued, "To survive as a proper nation, these two groups must be made an example of before they can further damage our unique family with their bigotry and hatred. It is one thing to attack in rage, anger or a perceived notion of vengeance, it is another for one to defend itself from a known threat," he stated before answering several questions on his legitimacy as being a proper noble and lineage, afterwards he stepped down to allow the investigators to quickly wrap up their findings from the documents provided by the Noble and the confession of Vlad Chernozemski. [hr] Several months would pass as a harsh military crackdown on strongholds of both the VMRO and Ustashe occurred throughout the Kingdom, ensuring that their relevance and influence would forevermore be minimal. A month later would pass before the world at large received the following declaration:

  18. A day after Politika's second publication and the reports of the happenings across the globe had finally reached the sovereign of the Kingdom, some say that the frustration of their Majesty that day was a tale of legends. [hr] In the heart of Beograd, the White City of the Serbs, Beli Dvor It was not but a day after the torrential rains finally ceased tormenting the people he worked feverishly to protect, knowing well enough of the increase that trickled ever so slowly of the fatalities taken by the harsh waters as they hung over his conscious, draping the outer-edges of his psyche of their deaths. It was not enough that their deaths burdened and stained his hands with their blood but the reports he had received from the public on-goings around the world had shocked the Kralj to a tizzy. From countless countries declaring their existence to the apparent surprise reveal that the Principality of Tikal and their duo 'Divines' had survived somewhat unscathed from the Great Blaze of Disaster that engulfed the world. HM Kralj Dragojev Belojevic breathed in deeply, doing his best to slowly exhale in order to ease his mounting frustration. Albeit a very minor one, the annoyance that the people had dubbed what happened as the 'Veliki Plamen Katastrofe' added to his frustration as the researchers and scientists he had tasked to the job worked endlessly to figure out what exactly caused it to begin with. The very religious claimed it to be of a divine work, a punishment for where man had gone wrong as a whole and he was completely thankful that he had the chance to circumvent the religious going extreme with it as he talked with the new Patriarch of his newly gained kingdom. The Patriarch and he had talked extensively after he routed and culled the religious extreme possibility, and not long after the two had come to a mutually beneficial arrangement. Dragojev shook his head and completely derailed his train of thought, sighing once more as he glanced down at the reports laying haphazardly across his desk, a sign of his mounting frustration with the entire situation. While he was not an outright religious man like others, he still cursed under his breath at the rains for bringing terror and tragedy to his people. "You should probably get some rest." The voice reverberated throughout his temporary office, startling the young King out of his swear montage as he turned with a glare on his face. "You should know better than to startle me like that, especially in these times, Dražen!" he barked at the former sailor who simply smirked at him in return. "Well, never been one to exactly follow orders," he snarked at his sovereign before glancing to the side, "!@#$ has certainly gone topsy-turvy the past few weeks, hasn't it?" Dragojev frowned before sharply nodding, needing no words to convey how utterly crazy the world had become. "What do you plan on doing after we find them?" the sailor asked as he walked towards the room's open window, a slight breeze sweeping through as he breathed in. "I have utterly no idea, only temporary plans but nothing concrete. I'm playing all by ear right now, Dra'," he replied in answer, the Kralj of Jugoslavija walked around his desk and swiftly took his seat. "I honestly wished I had the answers for how to move forward but things are very chaotic in this world." At that Dražen nodded as he glared at some unseen point in the distance, a frown crossing his features. "Bandits reign across various lands, taking advantage of the chaos to loot and pillage the good peoples. I have my hands full with the recent disaster to cross our region from how devastating the flooding was, that's not counting the things and happenings I have to keep track of for the safety of my people but for our neighbors as well due to our status of being the biggest power in the Balkans so far." The Sovereign eyed his refreshment before taking a sip of the now Luke-warm water, the water at least quenching his thirst, "This is the dawn of a new age, Dražen, a veritable reign of chaos." [hr] Several weeks would come and go, the fledgling government of the Kralj doing their best to aid the people affected by the severe flooding. For the most part, it seemed to the people that their new Sovereign had the best intentions and desire to protect them from harm, endearing himself from doing what he thought was right in his duties and responsibilities. Slowly as those displaced and affected returned to normalcy, the Kralj and his Veliki Savet started to receive reports from the southern regions of Hungary and western regions of Romania. In the former regions of Bács-Kiskun, Baranya, and Csongrád the 1st Expeditionary Division found several towns and hamlets that counted south slavs as part of their numbers. The Division ordered two squads to be left in each town to protect the peace they had put down once the bandits were routed entirely from the region, most of the people being appreciative for the new protection. Amidst those reports was an account of a Hungarian woman, named Viràg Arany, throwing herself at one of the soldiers as she apparently sobbed from sheer happiness. In short, an interim government was created in the biggest region of Bács-Kiskun, specifically within the regional capital of Kecskemét. Within the former regions of Caraș-Severin, Mehedinți, and Timiș the 2nd Expeditionary Division found drastically smaller numbers than the one in former Hungary of towns that counted their cultural brothers in their population. Banditry and trafficking of the darker criminal elements were rife as they apparently ruled as medieval fiefs and warlords, so the entrance of a military division to their territory was acted upon. Skirmishes with the criminal elements still kept up, with plans being made to take down and dismantle the criminal faction within those regions in order to establish peace for the beleaguered Romanian people. [hr] In the heart of Beograd, the White City of the Serbs, Beli Dvor Virág could scarcely believe it herself. Her family had basically demanded to visit the capital of the resurgent South Slavic kingdom, in order to give thanks for the protection and peace of mind their soldiers had given them. The town they lived in was the first to be entered into and one of the closest to the border of the Yugoslavian kingdom, so it was not a far drive to begin with now that the roads were protected by the South Slavic military. Her little sister who was besides her seemed to be back to her old self, gossiping and socializing with wanton as she used to be before the Great Disaster. Unfortunately, she was the recipient for the amount of rumors and tidbits Rebeka acquired. "They say that their King is still single and quite the heart-throb," her sister said saucily, the effect falling flat on its face with whom she was talking to. This did not matter to her, slightly bothering and informing her sister at the same time was entertaining as always. Virág simply nodded, quite clearly doing her best to not pay much attention to her gossiping. "There's also quite a lot of rumors around him, some calling him a messiah and others calling him divine intervention in the form of past glory since apparently his family line was amongst the first to be counted as nobility for the Serbs," she continued without stopping, their parents paying attention to her wanting to know more of the noble King. "What do they say about sending those soldiers outside of the kingdom?" her father asked in their native tongue, she being the only one who spoke somewhat basic Serbian. "They said that he sent them to look for their cultural brothers and sisters. Croats, Serbs, Bulgarians, Slovenes, you classify it under their cultural umbrella and that's what they were looking to protect," she answered after thinking on the response a bit, wanting to make sure she recollected correctly. "Basically, our protection was an afterthought that they were more than happy to do," she added to her summary as the family of four waited with the group of Hungarians they were with, the others quite clearly having listened in. Their father simply nodded and fell silent, contemplating the answer he had gotten before the sharp crack of noise of a trumpet silenced the rest of the group. "Announcing the court of His Majesty Kralj Dragojev Belojevic of Jugoslavija to be open," barked a rough voice as the doors of the throne room were opened, allowing the group entry and finally seeing their interim protector calmly sitting on his throne. A simple but elegant band of gold rested on top of his brow, the royal dressed in a oddly fitting combination of purple and maroon with a cloak of purple and gold draped behind him. He raised his hand and gently beckoned the group of foreigners to enter his court, the hesitance of them as a whole slowly vanishing as they entered the throne room, small bands of officials of some capacity were dispersed throughout the sides of the room, naught but whispers being heard as all rested their gaze on the group. "I have heard that you all sought out an audience with me, fellows," the noble said as the group stood still several feet away from the throne. He smiled at them, "So then, I must ask what is it that you wish to speak about?" he asked inquisitively. Adorján, their father, stepped forward out of the group. Grim-faced as always, he simply bowed to the Monarch without speaking. The Kralj quirked his eyebrow at the bow before his other eyebrow joined in as the rest of the group bowed to him. Rebeka sighed to herself, rising quickly after her bow as she stepped forwards and stood besides her still bowing father. "We came to thank, Kralj, for you protection," she said in basic Serbian, slightly cringing at how it must have sounded like for the native Serb. Either the Monarch did not mind at all or he must have had one hell of a poker face as he slowly stood, moving forward with a soft smile on his face. "It was and will remain to be a pleasure to be able to protect the good Hungarian peoples for as long as they desire and seek my protection," he said as he stopped in front of the father and daughter duo. "Rise, good peoples, for you are among friends," he intoned as he placed a hand on her father's shoulder, beckoning him to rise. She nodded at the look her father threw at her before he rose, nodding his thanks to their hopefully new king. Something she hoped for as well. [hr] A full month would pass as the expeditionary divisions would cement the interim government that would protect the full land of former Hungary and former Romania, the mafia elements within Romania bristling but still intact and would undoubtedly harrass the 'imperialists' who kept attacking and forcing their hand against their interests and illegal businesses. To this, a message was sent as an official declaration of war. Private A day would pass before the world at large received the following message: Public
  19. With the dissolution of the Slavic nation that held the land as well as the Hellenic Empire south of them, certain representatives came together. It was evident that while the citizenry was grateful for the remnants of the Athenian Federation's forces keeping the peace as they scrambled to make heads or tails of what had happened, the war hadn't been forgotten and was still present in the consciousness of the Serbs. This was even clearer in the heart of Beograd, the White City of the Serbs. [hr] "This is our chance, can you not see that!?" The question hung in the air of the dim lit room before being shoved aside by a frustrated sigh as a man took his seat once more in that day. "We do see it," started a heavy baritone voice. The man's brown orbs followed the source of the voice, a brown-haired man, dark grey meeting the brown orbs. "And it is because we see the chance that we have to be cautious and wary, Borivoje," he continued as the rest of the meeting's participants stared at him, hearing his words intently. The brown haired man slid out of his seat and stood in one fluid motion, raising a hand to run his digits through his unruly hair. "The remnants of the Hellenics' Federation have de facto control of Serbia proper, their military; while in a state of confusion, still far surpass anything we could do to them," he stated as he frowned, "This is our reality sadly." "If we seek to be independent once more, we'll have to simply discuss and see the merit of any concessions that our current military 'overlords' demand from us," he growled out before shaking his head, a sigh escaping past his lips. "Regardless, it's either this chaotic status or being a proper nation once more, folks. So what will it be?" he asked the people following him. "As much as I hate to swallow concessions or demands, Dragojev is... wrong in this," a blonde haired man spoke, righteous indignation in his green eyes as he clenched and unclenched his right fist. "If the Athenian Federation were still a construct and proper nation, we would have to accept anything. However, that is not the current case," he said with as much passion and vigor that could be found, "We have the capacity, ability and chance to help our brothers across the Balkans, the Serbs in Croatia or within the unruly province of Kosovo. Even to other Slavic peoples across the western Balkans in this chaotic time, we can bring unity once more for all of our peoples. We do not have to abide by the wishes of a non-existent foreign power any longer!" he yelled as he glared at Dragojev who simply accepted the indignation from his fellow. He knew when he was wrong. "It's a sad state of affairs at the moment where we are disorganized as divisions keep our peoples apart, Jadran, so we must do all in our power to guide our peoples to prosperity," started Dragojev, all eyes on him once more. "We will do what we must for the sake of our people." Thirteen heads nodded at once as he finished, filling him with a distant sense of pride from seeing the start of a great government for their people. "If we really intend to go forward with this, I suggest we revert back to a Monarchy," came the voice of Petar Božović, a grizzled old Serb infantry veteran of the former pan-south Slavic state. "Democracy has hurt our peoples far more and in a shorter period of time than the rule of Uro Nejaki," he said, almost spitting out in disgust the nickname of the infamous son of Duan Silni, otherwise known as Duan the Mighty. "That might be a tricky endeavor in itself, due to not having any noble families still around," chimed in the son of Petar, Milenko, a former member of the special forces of the pan-south Slavic state. "What about the Karađorđević?" asked a lighter voice, a hand tucking away a rogue strand of chestnut brown as Jela Zorica raised an eyebrow, "What would the Prince have to say in this case? He is the last of his dynasty that ruled in Serbia and the former pan-state of Yugoslavia," the woman pointed out, a sharp contrast to the hopeful tone of the current meeting but nonetheless a welcome one for Dragojev. "He only has a claim to the throne of Yugoslavia due to his father so far to my knowledge and not many support him apart from his public humanitarian work and claims of being pro-democratic," countered a rough voice, Dražen Cižek snorted as he looked dubious to the questions brought up by the former sailor. "He clearly seeks more support within the populace, hence his public acts," he further explained to the group, being the clear expert of public affairs. "Don't forget, it's well known that during the past century that the Karađorđević still have debts owed to the British Crown from their assistance during the past century as well as the convoluted line tying the Crown Prince's sons to the British Crown's line of succession," he added once more as he shook his head, muttering under his breath. Milenko froze unseen from anyone for a second before snapping his fingers in an apparent show of clarity as he turned to their leader, "You said that your last name was Belojevic, right?" he asked as the rest of the folk gathered showed confusion, the question having been a rather odd one considering the time they all spent together. The group's leader nodded slowly, the question having caught him off guard, "Any particular reason why you asked this question, Milenko?" Said man grinned widely, "I know for a fact that we do have another noble family around and its yours, boss." The rest of the group stared at Milenko before gazing upon Dragojev, confusion still on their faces with the exception of the aged veteran. "I believe I know what my son is getting to, Drago'," Petar started as he raised a hand and rubbed at his beard in thought, "The Belojevic were among the first Serbian noble families under the reign of the first royal family of Serbia, the Vlastimirović." Milenko clapped his hands in excitement, his eyes on their leader, "Exactly! Boss, I have no idea on how your family managed to stay in relative obscurity throughout the past millennia but you're the last Serbian noble that Serbs can claim to be theirs." "I say this because of the fact that the Crown Prince doesn't even posses the knowledge of the tongue of Serbia and its Serbs," he added as the ex-spec ops frowned, "To think that the other option of a Monarch is someone who can't even speak with his people in their own tongue." "As disgraceful as it might be, there's still the fact that a good portion of the populace still support him simply because he's the last Serbian noble publicly known," chimed in a boisterous voice as all eyes landed on Bor Klements, a small abacus in his hands as slender digits slowly moved the stones to their place in some unseen mathematical calculation roaming within his mind. The slightly absent minded man blew a rogue strand of onyx black away before focusing back on the group, putting the calculations on the back burner so to speak as he cleared his throat. "As it stands, our leader isn't known publicly that much outside of Beograd and even then it's scraping things by," he laid out for his fellows, "So if we want to install him as the new head of state, we're going to need to expand our usage of resources that we are currently using." "I know of select and key people I can shake down for funds and support from debts owed to me but I'd prefer a more 'civil' approach instead of forcing people as that won't gain loyalty and that simply won't do," the mathematician added before shaking his head, "Our leader will have to play the same game as our dear Prince, and go farther than the British raised blowhard that we call a noble." Their leader nodded, "Are there enough funds to go forward without having to drag up old debts, Bor?" "Thankfully, yes. We have a comfortable level to expand out of Beograd and into Serbia, after that into the Western Balkans proper and it should technically be more than enough to cover our costs. Anything after that is up in the air, I'm afraid," Bor finished as he dived once more into his abacus, having spoken his piece for the remainder of the meeting. "Well, I suppose that's that, folks," Dragojev started as a grin grew on his face, "Let's go out there and make this kingdom a reality." [hr] And thus it slowly came to pass, the influence of one Dragojev Belojevic pierced outside of the Serbian capital city and permeated throughout the Serbian homeland, quickly soon after towards the entirety of the western Balkans. The knowledge of having an authentic noble with a documented line of ancestry going all the way back to the first Belojevic Župan raised the spirits of the peoples to all time highs, the fame becoming enough that the so called Crown Prince could do nothing but stand aside and observe the situation lest he be burned by being painted a certain way. Nevertheless, with the rate the situation was moving forward, the confrontation between the two nobles would come to a head a full month later as people called for a new Monarch to finally take the reign of their country. So it was that on September the 1st, the noble of the Belojevic Dynasty met with the senior head of the Karađorđević Dynasty, HRH Crown Prince Alexander Karađorđević. The results of that fateful meeting would shock the people as the two nobles came to an accord. HRH Alexander Karađorđević would relinquish his claim on the royal crown of Serbia and would instead be recognized as the new Prince of Serbia, with his sons being recognized as the same upon his death, so on and so forth. The newly recognized Prince would then recognize the people's claim upon the last Belojevic to become the new Monarch of Serbia, their new Kralj. Any mentions of Prince or Princess in public media would solely refer to the Karađorđević family as their god-given titles, while the titles of 'Knez' and 'Kneginja' would be the appropriate ones for the reigning family. The last thing the people had expected were the two nobles walking out as brothers out of their meeting on the same day that the Non-Aligned Movement was founded, especially so considering what was at play between the two. In order to cut off any wild mass guessing that would spark if it was not smothered right then and there, the duo proceeded to have an impromptu press conference with revealing the main reason why the compromise was reached between the two. "For the Slavic peoples of the western Balkans." Said simultaneously by the two, they then slowly wound the conference to an end and went their way into the day as the public media went absolutely bonkers by the day's revelations that came from the two most influential men in the land. A month or two would pass before the world at large received the following declaration:
