Deal with what, the requesting alliance or the alliance that has no business getting involved?

I suppose that's a route that we could go down but why throw away two years of friendship over two weeks of bad blood? While we feel the need to stand aside from NPO on this occasion due to personal issues we are not looking for a way out of out relationship.

Is there actually an alliance called MAD anymore? Were these people ever Echelon or just an alliance inside an alliance? They merged into Echelon but now seem to be making announcements again. MAD reform from Echelon and immediately merge with GR?

I don't understand this, or the point of this announcement. Sure individuals leave during a war and get stick from alliance mates. A number of individuals even. But to package yourselves together as a group, using the name of your ex-alliance, and move en mass with an OWF thread to another alliance? Why? Just do it, do you think anyone would notice/care? I don't understand what you hope to achieve from this announcement.

That's what we're talking about. This has already been noted and I'm sure their two (out of five) nations that are currently at war with NPO will be contacted shortly.

While the defensive part of this treaty appears to have been ignore it's worth remembering the MHA has worked hard with other parties to try and avoid this war and to get across how foolish it was. We were ignored. Were not even given the required period of notice for an offensive action, despite talks apparently having been officially ended with enough time to do so. Now I'm not saying that that clause is as important as the mutual defense clause, but for how long does MHA try and help and advise NPO only to be ignored, disrespected and kept in the dark? How long does MHA put up with being brushed aside and offended only to then be expected to come running when NPO goes against advice and starts some trouble? Friendship is a two-way process not just take, take, take.

Well that's just common sense. It may not be right but I don't think there are alliances keeping FAN in war because FAN were a nice fluffy alliance with a DoN who are likely to forgive and forget if they do get let out of peace mode. Is this treatment a response to FAN's aggressive nature and perceived threat or is FAN's aggressive nature and perceived threat a response to their treatment (going back way before VietFAN 2.0)?

Please allow me to amend part of this statement, from "has spies" to "had spies". It appears that at this moment in time FAN does not have any spies operating in MHA and that while there are other reasons why there has not been a peace agreement between MHA and FAN the current use of FAN spies in MHA is not one of them.

Well if that's the case then sure, but the difference of opinion here is whether LoSS can't or won't honour the treaties.

Of course not, I think the issue is more why sign the treaties in the first place when they are dropped at the first sign that they might have to be honoured. This may not be the case but the timing is awfully unfortunate.

All that kerfuffle about declaring neutrality in the last war and now 'suspending' all 5 of your military treaties (that are all with tC/1V) alliances. I guess it does take guts and publicly pick sides like this.

That's blatantly untrue. In fact I said the complete opposite.

Of course the relationship between MHA and Sparta will remain as strong as ever and we know that this was an unpleasant but necessary move. MHAil!

Are MHA as untrustworthy as NPO allegedly are when it comes to peace for FAN? FAN have been told what they need to do for peace but have said that they won't do it until they get peace. Does MHA go out on a limb and trust FAN or does FAN go out on a limb and trust MHA? All I know is only one of these alliances has spies operating in the other alliance, and that doesn't exactly mark them down as trustworthy.

If you were a member of FAN, particularly around the time of VietFAN 2.0, and have since re-rolled and are in another alliance (especially if it's a Continuum member), why not let us know what you're up to?

My last nation was MHA and so is this one. Relevant? Who knows.

I was biased and voted MHA. FOK got my vote for the second poll due to their FA moves, what with iFOK and seemingly finding their happy place in the CN treaty web.

Could "other OOC means" include mouthing off to people about who is used to be?
