  1. [quote name='Valerius' timestamp='1282024622' post='2418988'] Intention aside, I daresay it may be inevitable. [/quote] I daresay you're wrong. *chuckles*
  2. [quote name='Banksy' timestamp='1281952852' post='2417774'] And yet the STA, itself, is a raiding alliance. Whereas the ODN refuses to raid, meaning that if one were desperate they could indeed say the ODN supports raiding. Although it's nice to know that the fear of the ODN's retaliation was what kept the NPO (or rather, the constitute alliances of Red Dawn) from attacking MK in defence of the red sphere. [/quote] Your analysis of geopolitical relations is as subtle and nuanced as it is bold. Consider this an invitation to join the Political Analysis Division of the Diplomatic Corps of the New Pacific Order.
  3. [quote name='Valerius' timestamp='1281944407' post='2417715'] The GATO-NPO PIAT was signed with a mind to finally end the age-old rivalry which had until then run quite deep in both alliances. It was no ordinary treaty, it was a ceasefire. A ceasefire which has now been removed. [/quote] I think that's a rather extreme view. While the PIAT we held was a symbol of an enmity discarded, the cancellation of that PIAT does not mean that the New Pacific Order has any wish to resume the hostile relations that we historically held.
  4. [quote name='rsoxbronco1' timestamp='1281926414' post='2417351'] What monters. I think you'd be better off imagining you read the edited logs in Sir Paul's Tabloid. [/quote] I've spoken to GATO. They'll no doubt vouch (or not) for the authenticity of the logs and/or produce logs that demonstrate whatever events transpired and/or was said.
  5. [quote name='Ragashingo' timestamp='1281914842' post='2417121'] Nice to see The Tabloid Tribune make corrections when necessary, even if it does allow the truth to catch up a bit. [/quote] The truth might manage to catch up one or two steps, but we still gain another three or four in the same time.
  6. These logs, if true, reinforce the decision of the New Pacific Order that the Global Alliance Treaty Organization's government no longer has the same of vision and principles of foreign affairs that they once did.
  7. *chuckles heartily [at Arcturus Jefferson's poor education, since I can't simply write "*chuckles hearily*", which, after all, would have been a much more appropriate riposte, but alas, we have to provide reasons for when we write these things]*
  8. Vladimir, you should watch out. The witty rejoinders of Arcturus Jefferson are making me rethink my whole world view.
  9. Hail to the Emperor of the New Sith Order! Hail the Sith! "Peace is a lie. There is only passion." It is regretful to see Ragnarok demonstrate this so plainly.
  10. [quote name='Lezrahi' timestamp='1280885914' post='2400229'] [i]Lezrahi had happened to have come down from the mountain to be among the crowd today, and when he heard this speech by this man displaying his preposterous jawline, he could not help but to cover his mouth as he shook his shoulders in laughter, doubling over slightly. Sometimes, people exhibit the damnedest speech impediments. Once he was done, however, he became somewhat more serious.[/i] For one, my friend, words can be powerful, yet these are not, and never are when you have betrayed, and have yet to offset that betrayal. For another, though, the infamous Pacifican definition of betrayal is one handed out all too frequently. Though I do not pretend to know how long it is these days, I am sure that their historical list of 'traitors' could be fed around this planet more times than a human's circulatory system could. That said, with so many 'traitors', one must ask themselves whether or not Pacifica betrayed [i]itself[/i] (and even whether or not it still does). If you truly do feel that strongly about your actions, then you had best be prepared to repent for them come the next time they find themselves in dire straits. Perhaps a good place to go for this purpose would be The Phoenix Federation. They have come a long way since the Unjust War. [i]Lezrahi bowed, and then, longing for the shade of the oak atop the mountain, departed.[/i] [/quote] Yeah, I ask myself that question all the time: Has Pacifica betrayed itself? No, what I really ask myself is, how is a list fed around a planet? Do planets eat? Do things need to go around them before they eat? Or is it that lists are like satellites, and they go around the earth? Are they then eaten? Do other planets eat them?
  11. Congratulations to our ally on their elections!
  12. Congratulations to our comrades in the New Sith Order! Your meritocratic system of governance is an example to us all.
  13. Congratulations to IRON and DAWN!
  14. [quote name='Corinan' timestamp='1280111038' post='2389167'] Doppelganger: DAMAGE CONTROL SPECIALIST [/quote] How much do you go for?
  15. We thank KingZog for passing these logs on to the New Pacific Order. As a responsible ally, we contacted our comrades in the New Sith Order to talk about these logs (after asking KZ for an okay to pass them along) a bit ago. The New Pacific Order has quite a bit of history with TehChron, or Chronorica, as he was once known. This Emperor perhaps more than most has a certain personal knowledge of Chronorica, dating back to times in another land. The moment we saw these logs and took a good whiff of them, we knew that smell, because we'd smelled that !@#$ before. There is no enmity between the New Pacific Order and the New Sith Order. While it is regrettable that a member of the New Sith Order attempted to destabilize a relationship that is based on mutual respect and communication, it is a testament to the strength of that relationship and the level-headed nature of the leaders of both alliances that upon being presented with this problem, we talked to each other, realized what was being done, and resolved the issue. Hail the New Sith Order! Hail the New Pacific Order!
  16. Whatever it is you think we've done, I, the Emperor of the New Pacific Order, says, "Sorry." Does that make you feel better? I'm going to guess, "No." Probably because it was insincere. I can tell it's insincere, because I didn't mean it when I said it. And I didn't mean it when I said it because there was no meaningful dialogue between us. And there was no meaningful dialogue between us, because you haven't chosen to come to us with whatever issues you seem to have, but rather post a demand in a blog post. Come talk when you want.
  17. [quote name='hawk_11' timestamp='1279903277' post='2385978'] Personally, these days I take an old-man-on-the-porch approach to CN politics, but I agree with this post. Everyone in CyberNations love to hate us, and it's never going to change with some no matter how hard we try. For the rest of you, come stop by. [/quote] *chuckles* Yup. You don't preach to the choir or peach to the damned. You just lose your voice. You preach to the people you can save.
  18. Congratulations to my comrades Invicta & NAC! It is great to see the Red Sphere bloom in its new Dawn, and we look forward to working as allies on the Red Sphere.
  19. [quote name='bigwoody' date='21 July 2010 - 01:49 AM' timestamp='1279691351' post='2382156'] Spoke to me after the fact. Although I've long since said the best move would have been to cancel the NPO treaty then stay in alongside our friends who were to be stuck in the war anyways. In any case, the whole smear campaign is played out beyond played out, and it is doing nothing but making you guys look more and more petty, so have at it hoss. [/quote] No, I spoke to you the same night the negotiations failed, and a day before you pulled out of the war.
  20. [quote name='mythicknight' date='20 July 2010 - 04:54 PM' timestamp='1279659259' post='2381242'] It seems you're still obsessed over your fictional story of events. I guess their strings are still snug on you after all. Lucky for us, our friends know better. Came in here to say this. Eventually it came back at them (both). [/quote] [quote name='Lord Levistus' date='20 July 2010 - 05:56 PM' timestamp='1279662960' post='2381326'] Fixed the quote tag to more correctly indicate who was speaking. [/quote] He could channel me if he wishes. I spoke to Bigwoody that night. Bigwoody knew every single bit of the plan. It was rather simple. We would all have a ceasefire because of the dropped internet connection of Moo during the negotiation session of the night prior. But Bigwoody, either because he's an idiot or a coward, let himself get played by Archon into withdrawing. Whether it was out of some noble fear to keep TORN from being attacked or simply abject stupidity, I could not say. However, he's persisted in perpetuating this lie, perhaps because he feared the damage to his own reputation or perhaps to his alliance's as a whole, for more than a year since that went down. If you want to engage me on this issue, hit me up on query.
  21. Congratulations to our comrades on the Red Sphere!
  22. [quote name='StevieG' date='18 July 2010 - 07:15 AM' timestamp='1279451683' post='2377105'] You dont have the force to gun for us in game at the moment, and it probably would be a bad strategy to just run on an old feud you may have had in the past. Having said that, reading NPO posts which concern NPO-TORN, you do in fact attack us. And no, I dont think NPO is the bad guy, until I can be otherwise convinced though, they are the enemy. But I guess they have to line up [/quote] I believe silentkiller gave a better response than I. I have nothing but contempt for bigwoody, and I have nothing against the rest of the people in your alliance, or your alliance as a whole.
  23. [quote name='bigwoody' date='17 July 2010 - 01:18 PM' timestamp='1279387118' post='2375965'] You'd think we weren't in an OOC forum... Anyways, no NPO isn't evil...for that matter neither is anyone in Supergrievances, my side, other alliances, whatever. Maybe a few individuals are genuinely evil, but I can't name any off the top of my head. NPO is self-interested. They want to be top dog, whatever the in-game cost, and there is nothing evil about that in a game like this one. I suppose to many that indeed makes them evil IC, hell, to my own alliance that they are openly gunning for, that makes them IC evil. But it is a matter of perspective that few seem to keep in mind. If you're so tied into events here that you really consider certain alliances truly evil in an OOC sense just because you're opposed to them, I am afraid you may have some serious issues. [/quote] You're [i]very[/i] deluded, bigwoody, if you think we're openly gunning for you. I will not hide my contempt for you as an individual, but to think that we wish to do anything to your alliance smacks more of your own egotism than anything about my own alliance's desires.
