gstills22
The key to a successful relationship is good communication. Something which, sadly, has been missing for a while betweenNATO and TTK. We therefore come to the world tonight to inform you all that we are cancelling our treaty. Under Provision VI: Amendment and RatificationShould the signatories at any time come to the consensus that it is in their best interests to modify any Provisions of this accord, this may be done with a simple agreement between the undersigned. NATO and TTK mutually agree to cancel these accords. We wish TTK best of luck in their future and have a hope that we can become closer in the future. TTK-NATO MDoAPSaturday the 14th Accords After months of getting to know each other we find great honor and trust among us. As a sign of this trust and friendship the Templar Knights and North Atlantic Treaty Organization reaffirm their faith in this friendship by signing the following treaty. Provision I: Sovereignty This Treaty shall not infringe upon the sovereignty of either The Templar Knights nor North Atlantic Treaty Organization (hence forth referred to as TTK and NATO respectively)and shall serve only to embody the mutual respect, trust, and friendship between these alliances. Hence, the member-states and governing bodies of the respective entities shall be subject only to the laws and restrictions of their own alliances, in addition to the following Provisions of this treaty. Provision II: Non-aggression The bond formed by this treaty shall preclude the signatory alliances from engaging in combat and spy activities with one another unto perpetuity and for five full days (one hundred twenty hours) following any cancellation under Provision V of the accord. Any minor breach of this Provision shall be dealt with privately and cordially between the leadership of the signatories to this agreement. Organized breach of this Provision by means of open warfare is grounds for the immediate dissolution of the treaty. Provision III: Intelligence and Hostility In the event that either signatory should discover any information pertinent to the security, stability, or sovereignty of the opposite signatory of this treaty they are obligated to inform the jeopardized party immediately. Furthermore, in signing this pact the undersigned agree to refrain and protect one another from any attempt at covert hostility including but not limited to espionage, coordinated rogue attacks, undermining of reputation, compromising of alliance headquarters, and conspiracy by foreign alliances or entities. A breach of this Provision by means of attempting any covert hostility operation on a partner signatory to this agreement shall be grounds for immediate termination and considered an act of war. Provision IV: Defensive War Recognizing the respect between NATO and TTK, this Provision hereby dictates that under any circumstances if either of the undersigned finds itself attacked by a foreign power, the opposite signatory to this agreement is required to come in full force by the side of their ally, without exception. The attacked signatory of this agreement maintains the right to waive assistance. Should the party required by this treaty to defend their ally not respond within 24-hours the abandoned ally may cancel this agreement immediately. Provision V: Aggressive War Should Either alliance find itself preparing for war 48 hours of notice shall be given to the other signatory for any request of assistance be it militarily or financial. Either signatory has the right to decline said request but is highly encouraged to accept the request if the reasoning and justification in the cassus belli is deemed as legitimate reason for war. Legitimacy is determined by the two signatories and no one else. Provision VI: Termination This treaty may be terminated by either signatory at any time. Except in circumstances outlined in Provision II, Provision III, and Provision IV, this treaty shall remain in effect for two full days (48 hours) following notification of cancellation. Notification is advised to be given privately to the opposite signatory's government. Provision VI: Amendment and Ratification Should the signatories at any time come to the consensus that it is in their best interests to modify any Provisions of this accord, this may be done with a simple agreement between the undersigned. Henceforth this treaty is ratified by both NATO and TTK Entered into law unto perpetuity, as evidenced by the signatures below; Signed for NATO by: President: Pameshlu Vice President: The Pansy Secretary General: Anu Drake Secretary of Defense: Tautology Secretary of the Interior: Duncan King Secretary of State: Lenny N Karl Secretary of the Treasury: Brian Reimer Signed for TTK by: Bud, Grand Master Spaceruler15, External Preceptor Unborn, Internal Preceptor Elder Council: iangator Veritas manussa Mandystalin FrozenBoy Edited October 18, 2009 by gstills22Fuhrer

Uralica
Bleh. This sucks. I like NATO because of Fuhrer and a couple other peeps, and also TTK - honorable foes during WotC (I was in CCC at the time). Ah well, if the relationship's not there, I guess the paper shouldn't be there either. Good luck to both alliances.

We wrestled with it for a while but neither side really had any ties and we couldn't get them going so it had to be done to keep in the spirit of our other relationships. We still like NATO though
GearHead
Sad day for both parties, but at least there are no hard feelings and the respect is still there.
Duncan King
NATO wishing NATO good luck, something is fishy here "Why can't he wish himself good luck?" Duncan King asks quizzically. I'm very sorry to see this treaty go, TTK was one of NATO's best allies back in the day. That's life, I suppose.

Deadshot
Some friendships end with a mutual blessing and well wishes, others with a slap in the face or with rifles in hand. I am happy to see this treaty end in the former. Well wishes to both parties involved.

wiccan high priest
Who knows maybe one day in the near future, a better, even stronger friendship would open the door to another multi year treaty. communication is a funny thing, one day your hanging at their house smoking some bud, then one day it's nod of the head that you know them. one day soon maybe we can be back to bud smoking bud's after all they have not tried TTK's new alliance size hookah. Cyphon88
Wow and so all that was built is now gone. Sad to see this happen as much was done to gain that treaty. I wish our allies the best of luck on their paths. Alas after your building Bud, the originial occupants moved on. And while the houses still had each other's phone numbers, we just didn't call as much as we should, and the foundation crumbled. NATO and TTK both got in contact to attempt to renew relations a month or two ago, alas, things did not click back into the levels of communication that were neccessary (in my opinion) to maintain a treaty of this level. Through this time though, I've gained a great deal of further respect for NATO and their members, who certainly are an active and innovative group of people. As the last treaty arose after hard found mutual respect after a problem, perhaps in time NATO and TTK will come together again, as we get to know one another anew. TTK has a whole wishes NATO good luck on their future travails.
kriekfreak
Sorry to hear that. Best wishes to NATO and more specifically to TTK as I know them a bit better than I do NATO.
jer
We wish TTK best of luck in their future and have a hope that we can become closer in the future. How do you hope to achieve this? If you are unable to communicate whilst you are bound by a high-level treaty then I am a bit of a loss to see how (or why) you would suddenly gain that ability when no links exist between you at all.
