Yeah... And also by the total NS each alliance is facing.

Indeed, #2 is sort of the Map to who are the cowards and who are the heroes. It certainly is a clear display of who has strong leanings toward being poultry... :gag:

Very nice work. I think the "Where's the heat" map is better judged by the total score of alliances that they are at war with, subtracted by that alliance's current score. SLCB is fighting two alliances much bigger than them, it doesn't describe that pain even as much.

Given that you're pretty much decisively engaged and pinned, with I think just about the entire alliance either in peace mode or in anarchy, you are certainly getting the heat all right.

I must say I envy you a bit. :(

Hey, are you allied with Olympus? If so, can get your opportunity soon, looks like!

26-1-2011 Updates...

Lazinees made me do it in one diagram... although I see the motives and reasons behind the "no it's ONE war / No it's 2 debates", I wont get involved ;)

Also:
Sentorhung's update is HERE

Quick edit : i know it'swritten 25-1 on the graph but I wont reopn photoshop to change that... the stats behind this are as of today...

Truly awesome visual representation. My only gripe is that you appear to use radius of the circle as representing NS of an alliance. Total surface area of the circle might be better since the radius is obviously squared in determining area. This means that large alliances look much larger than they should in comparison to smaller alliances.

Edit:
Easy fix: just use the root of NS as the radius.

I was thinking you could add them to the alliances score and give an impression of how much score is "involved", but your idea seems better.

Yeah, was thinking this also.

Great job though, these stats are really appreciated and presented in the most clear form I've seen.

27th January Update

I corrected the CCC mistake, gave a new name of my own to this graphics (cause, you know, I do waht I want after all...)
As for the very good comments on the size of the dots, I'm deeply sorry but the dots sizes are calculated by the comp and I have no way to change the mode of visualization (I put the raw score data, set the minimum and maximum dot size and here we go)...

I use 2 network analysis programs : UCInet6 for the calculus and matrix building & NETdraw for the visualization.

Networks can have this effect indeed ;)

Also, I made this one : The "Where's the NUCLEAR heat ?" map
I took the data from the "display nuclear attack" alliance button. Took the weekly direct hits... for next update, I may consider the "monthly Direct hits"...
Hope you guys enjoy !
