State of the Alliance

This week has seen our membership number drop slightly to 215 members as our recruitment freeze begins to have an effect. However, our total nation strength and average nation strength continue to rise sitting at 4,050,913 and 18,841 respectively.

In domestic news four more members of the Siberian Tiger Alliance were awarded the STA Award for Valour for their assistance with rogue attacks on our members and allies. Bzelger, Thaone, Reiffenstein and TheGodFarther received the award this week and, on behalf of the membership of the Siberian Tiger Alliance, I thank them for their sacrifice to assist their fellow tigers and our allies.

Three nations also received awards for being attacked by nuclear weapons in the line of duty. Bzelger, Pezstar and Tygaland were all attacked with nuclear weapons by ex-Valhallan KingSuck as he decided to attack the STA before exiting stage left. Thaone missed out on the award due to him having a Strategic Defence Initiative that actually worked. Thanks to Bzelger and Thaone for jumping into a nuclear rogue in defence of Pezstar, it is certainly much appreciated by myself and the members of the Siberian Tiger Alliance.

The Siberian Trophy has one game left to play this season and the title winners and promotions are already settled. A draw was enough for Bamburgh FC to clinch their second successive title with FC Tigris Altaica four points behind with a game in hand. Tigris will need to win at home to Proxian FC tomorrow to hold out Batch for second place. The real interest is at the foot of the table as three teams battle to stay out of the final relegation place. Mushroom Kommune's drop to the second division was confirmed last Saturday as both The Rabbs and Proxian FC scored upset wins leaving them four points away from safety. With all three capable of winning their final game the relegation battle will go down to the wire.

In the Cup division Rebel United had long ago secured the title as their undefeated run continues. This week saw Team Waycool secure the second promotion place with a 5-0 demolition of managerless FC Rhyl. This means that the teams in the Cup division are just going through the motions tomorrow, however third place could become a promotion place if a manager from the Cup division does not file their paperwork for the coming season in time.

Still on the Siberian Trophy, next season looks to be the biggest yet with almost thirty teams signed up and the possibility of a third division being added. League administration is also considering a cup competition across the three divisions as the Siberian Trophy continues to grow.

The Foreign Affairs Department was quiet this week with only a few rogue issues causing a stir. The Siberian Tiger Alliance also took part in a Q&A session at IRON headquarters which allowed their members to get to know the Siberian Tiger Alliance a little better and perhaps understand where we are coming from with regards to alliance politics.

The Siberian Tiger Alliance monthly press conferences are also working well and we believe this is allowing more and more citizens of the Cyberverse to get to know the alliance and how we operate.

Militarily, we had a number of rogue issues to deal with once again. As mentioned earlier, ex-Valhallan, KingSuck, decided to go out with a bang by attacking Pezstar earlier in the week. The Siberian Tiger Alliance quickly countered this aggression and subdued the attacker. Considering the nuclear capabilities of the rogue and their Weapons Research Complex, damage to STA nations was kept to a minimum thanks to a coordinated and rapid response.

The Siberian Tiger Alliance also had to deal with an attack by an ODN ghost on our allies at TIO who then formed an alliance called Sylvania Lamark Alliance. This alliance then attacked TIO en masse and the Siberian Tiger Alliance offered assistance to cover the small nation strength range these nations resided in. However, the Supreme Chancellor awoke this morning to find the entire alliance has been smote by almighty Admin (peace be upon him) and the issue resolved.

Overall, this week has seen the Siberian Tiger Alliance continue to grow, passing the 4 million total nation strength milestone. Our average nation strength continues to rise and approaches 20000, a mark we hope to pass in the coming weeks. The Siberian Tiger Alliance has once again fended off unwarranted aggression against our membership and our allies showing a commitment and unity within the alliance that is second to none.

Is there any truth to the rumor of a Twinkie shortage?

Given how he managed to come into possession of Uralica's entire Twinkie supply, it wouldn't surprise me.

Anyway, Za Sibir' o/, and if I ever think of going into a match 3-4-3 again, will someone smack me?

(And I believe you have Hawky to thank for the Hand of Admin reaching out and smiting SLA :P)

We asked all alliance nations to please raise taxes and give a percentage of the increased revenue to an alliance-wide pool of funds for more twinkies. While on the way to the store to buy some twinkies Tygaland saw one of those massage seats at a gadget shop and put the money down as part of minimum payment. Now we're short of twinkies and in debt by a few grand.

Praise be to our wise leader who knows we have poor credit but doesn't stop buying crap we don't need and can't afford...

Classy as always STA. How do you do it?

Exercise, red wine, and etiquette school. Lots of etiquette school...

That probably has something to do with all the exposure you give it here, you should go ahead and make the State of the Alliance address the official sponsor of the league. :P

The Siberian Trophy: The real reason why STA no longer needs Ambassadors. :P
