In 1861 Fetterman took a patrol of 81 US soldiers with orders from his commander not to cross Lodge Trial Ridge. Fetterman was a braggart of some note and once announced if he was given 80 men he could go through the Native American ( Indians ) like "S*** through a goose". Getting to lodge trail and stopping: the Native American pulled down their garb and presented their rears to the US Troops. Outraged by the decorum of his foes he disobeys orders and advances pass the ridge to be massacred This topic is Non Grata"s showing their rears, to induce a change in tactics to their benefit.

Legion Announcement: End of the "Treaty of the Purple Star"
Yggdrazil replied to totem's topic in Alliance Announcements (IC)
They don't have the cojones
Legion do not let those "baring their South end" convince you to throw away all tactical sense and rush in. That leads to disaster. Use this attitude of your detractors as a tool and when you're involved next war surprise them. -
Ivan Moldavi for Legion Director of Trades
Yggdrazil commented on Rebel Virginia's blog entry in Holy Book of Rebel Virginia
Any alliance would benefit with having Ivan in a leadership position. Let us not make less of Ivan's acumen by implication he could only help Legion. -
I do not see a clarification is necessary but there is an old saying,"he can't see the forest for the trees";therefore in case I am stuck in that mode. I believe Doomhouse traded a superior victory for a lesser one.

For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.-Sun Tsu In the last conflict, I believe the the NPO had reached an accommodation with allies and would not enter. Since military acumen I have always admired and Doomhouse had achieved that what the above quote mentions, I thought I would post a congratualation post. Turned out to be harder than I imagined. Being on a different side of the treaty web and often critical of some of alliances in Doomhouse; being sincere without sounding condescendin

Independent Republic of Orange Nations ( IRON )
Yggdrazil replied to DRU ZOD's topic in Player Created Alliances
Discriminating nations should check IRON out for those intangibles that are hard to quantify. Community, friendship and loyalty -to list just a few. -
You cannot say Matthew PK was not loyal, his defense of his alliance's position during the IRON "unconditonal surrender" debate was filled with sophist rhetoric that strained and distorted English beyond recognition. That's loyalty.
GOONS were attacked by more than 6 alliances and we held them back pretty nice without mass usage of PM. I don't see how calling you cowards will help though,I'll just keep on pounding your nations into Pixeldust.
GOONS let' s be serious, the only way your still in the fight is outside resources. While those you fight rely mostly on internnal resources. It is comparing apples and oranges. Expecting an enemy to take on your strenght is absurd and reeks of undeserved hubris.
Last I checked pre-GW3 the nation count was bigger, the ns was larger, tech ratios were better across the board; then GW3 started and at its end the largest punitve reps were demanded. Cause and effect: GW3 sowed the wind and now lament the passing of a more vibrant game.
This assessment might be accurate, yet I do not lament the condition of the game. And what you disclosed in essence is these things hurt the game so rather than learn from game killing Karma just repeated past actions with a more efficent and large
